I am currently a Master’s Student studying Marine Bioscience. My favorite hobbies are fishing and playing videogames. My favorite game type is RPG.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:
Roleplaying is completely immersing yourself into a character’s life. You think, act, make decisions, and interact with the world the way your character would.
What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:
I have role played for many hours on lord of the rings online as a hobbit. I also occasionally play dungeons and dragons with my friends.
In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:
The act of Meta-Gaming is utilizing knowledge that your character would not have access to (out of character information), and making decisions based off of this information. It takes away from RP by transcending the world that your character lives in.
In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is:
Power-Gaming is having your character act in unrealistic ways to directly benefit him/her. The character does things that would be impossible or highly unlikely, often giving the opponents no chance to react or resist.
What do you expect this server will be like?:
I expect this server to bring out the best aspects of minecraft and provide a unique environment. I hope to be able to immerse myself in my character and the world around him. Above all I want to have fun!
What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:
This would be my first multiplayer server. I have been playing single player and would like to start exploring the world and RPing with other people.

How did you hear about us?:
I saw your server in a multiplayer server list and thought it would be a perfect fit for me. I have watched many youtube videos on gameplay in the Lord of the Craft and am extremely pumped to begin my adventuring.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):
Huriel grew up an orphan in Aegis never knowing who his parents were. He was raised by a hunter named Bron. Bron taught him how to track anything that walked and how to use a bow to deadly effect. Huriel was an intelligent boy with a sharp eye and an eagerness to lean. He quickly mastered all of Bron’s teachings. Huriel loved trapsing through the wilderness and bringing meats and pelts to the nearest market to sell. The life of a hunter suited him, and he and Bron lived a happy fulfilling life.
When Huriel was 19 all of this changed. Undead creatures started ravaging Aegis. Bron and Huriel were recruited as archers to help hold a keep. It was a strong keep with tall sturdy walls, however it eventually gave way to the hoards of undead minions. Huriel managed to escape the keep without getting killed or captured, however his guardian and mentor Bron was not so lucky. Bron had been captured by a group of the undead. Huriel tracked the group for many miles through rough terrain in hopes of rescuing Bron. After days of searching, Huriel found Bron’s mangled corpse abandoned. This discovery shook Huriel to his core. He took up the role of a Ranger with the goal of exterminating evil from Aegis. His hatred for evil fuels his never ending hunt for undead to kill.
When Aegis was completely overthrown by evil forces, Huriel took the boat over to Asulon. For a long time he felt personally responsible for the fall of Aegis and Bron’s death. Now that Evil is bubbling to the surface in this new world, Huriel will do his best to hunt down evil wherever it may be. He feels that this is his chance at redemption.

Open-Response-Questions
Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?
Huriel stalks up to the guards, hood up, arrow knocked, and bow drawn. He announces in a clear voice ”What is the meaning of this?” Up until this point the warriors were unaware of Huriel’s presence and jump up, clearly startled. The warrior replies “Whoa who do ye think yer are sneakin up on people like at?” The other warrior gives a deep chuckle and says “Lets teach this sneaky critter a lesson then ay!”. The First warrior nods agreement and charges at Huriel. Huriel yells “run!” to the Halfling. Not wanting to kill anyone over a mugging, Huriel looses an arrow into one of the warrior’s feet. The warrior doubles over in pain and yells “get tat twit!” Not having enough time to reload before the second warrior gets to him, Huriel turns and runs through a patch of trees. He moves effortlessly through the woods while the bulky warrior gets tripped up in the underbrush. After some time the warrior gives up the chase and returns to help his friend. The Halfling is long gone.
Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?
Huriel says “Hello good sir, I see you have a variety of fine wares”. Merchant says “ You bet I do, lookin fer anything specific?”
Huriel “ As a matter of fact I am, I am in need of a small brooch with which to fasten my cloak. I lost my other one a few days back.”
Merchant says “ Jus so happens I got a dandy of a brooch righ here. A soldier sold it to me just las week.” The merchant pulls out a bronze brooch in the shape of a leaf. Huriel feels a rush of excitement at seeing the brooch and says “Finally, I’ve been looking for a nice brooch all morning! Can’t tell you how annoying it’s been to keep knotting my cloak around my neck. Ill offer you 20 minas for it”. He merchant accepts the payment and Huriel goes on his way.
Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:
Huriel looks around the hut after noticing a chest filled with some iron bars and a golden sword. The hut looks abandoned. There is a thin layer of dust coating the nearby table and one of the window panes is broken. Huriel picks up the golden sword and turns it over in his hand thinking “This would fetch a hefty price at market”. “I wonder if anyone lives here or is coming back for it”. Huriel thinks of Bron and sighs. “That old man wouldn’t want me taking something that isin’t mine”. With a sake of his head he replaced the sword and strolled out of the hut, continuing on his way.
Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?
Huriel says “Hello there! Boy am I glad to see you. I am unfamiliar with this area of the wilderness and my supplies are running low. Do you have any extra food I can buy and perhaps a place to stay for the night? The Trader eyes his weapons and says ”Sure we do good sir, however we ask that you hand your weapons over to us until we part ways. Huriel agrees, hands his bow over to the nearest trader and enters the camp for the night.
You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:
Huriel agrees and joins the battle. Trying his best to neutralize the bandits without unnecessary killing, he works his way through the battle hindering bandits where he can. All the while he is thinking to himself ”Theres enough trouble from undead forces without this nonsense”. After the battle he collects his reward and continues on with his journey.

I am very eager to enter this new world and begin my adventure! I enjoyed the application process.. great questions/scenarios.
