Life.  Sound of iron boots clash upon the stone floors of Kal’Ithrun, as Grand King Indago Stormhammer saunters through the gaudy halls.  Assisting him through his walk, he carries a cane made of finely forged gold with the top shaped as a sheep head.  Venturing through, an echo is heard from the clouting of the staff of the cane and the armour he wears upon his little feet.  That, mixed with the anvils from the forge being struck by the hammers which shaped the atmosphere of his great city.  All seem well.

It was a cold day that overcame the sky, which collected frost to the beards of many.  Today, Indago had his beard braided with diamond gems embedded in the strains of his hair.  He had to push around his beard to seek the keys that accessed him to enter his dwelling.  The thought of home warmed the mind of the old king.  His home was nothing of special or grand, as it contained only his belongings of gifts and equipment throughout his life.  As he enters, he passes the tables and workbenches pressed against the walls covered with special minerals from his earlier trips to the mines.  Proceeding to the following room, he finds himself at the back of his dwelling.  Not many people have been back there, nor has the word of it been shared to men of the city.  There, a red velvet pillow rested on a table that held his most prize possession. The egg, produced by the Holy Chicken sits there, forever growing in size as it’s offspring develops within.  The egg is not so easily broken as it is plated with gold.  Only the strongest of it’s offspring will be redeemed worthy if they are capable of breaking free of it’s home.

Everyday, King Indago Stormhammer has watched over the egg as it will some day bring the honor to his name farther than any other of his predecessors.  It’s been three years, and that today, was the day of a breach.  A fissure erupted from the surface of the egg, as King Indago hears it.  With his eyes wide, he slowly walked to the egg, as he goes down to a knee staring at the event.  Slowly, the Holy Chicken’s offspring strikes the surface with his beak.  With more strength in every hit, the beak punctures fractures revealing fresh air to the newborn.  Holding the pillow the egg rests on, he sees the child break down it’s barriers that separates him from the world.  The air grows still.  The area silent.  Heavy breathes originating from Indago is all that is audible as the peck of the beak creates a large rift.  The egg is soon to rupture.  Though all of a sudden the egg grows still.  Looking at it, Indago looks around as his face grows worried.  Only after a small shake, the egg evolves into a restful state.  He looks at the egg, filled with thoughts that do not comprehend what is happening.  Then, a final sound of movement broke the silent atmosphere as what has been sealed for so long becomes exposed to the world.  Indago holding a hand to his beard, watched as beautiful white feathers, glistened with gold dust enter the picture of his mind.  His eyes scanned the being that has been revealed as its head laid buried under his wing.  Moving his left arm, Indago released his clutch from the velvet pillow to lay a hand to the creature.  The feathers were soft, softer than the hair of Titania and as smooth as the blubber of a whale.  He clenches his fingers near the fresh feathers of the chicken’s neck.  Slowly, he moves his hand to stroke the creatures back.  Indago could feel the breath of the chicken which made him smile very much so.  He embraces into joy celebrating it’s birth, however something is not normal.  The chicken’s head remained still as his chest begins to slow.  Breathes shorter, movements fewer as the body goes still.

The beat of Indago’s heart grows rapidly as he sees the child fall to the curse of death.  Taking deep breaths, the King doesn’t believe his eyes, as if his true love left him for someone of the kin of Humans.  Lifting the head of the chick, he sees the lifeless eyes.  Thoughts do not leave the mind of the King, as a clear mind is inconceivable.  The chicken needed to survive, as it is the last of it’s family.  The legend of the Holy Chicken most live on.  From the thoughts of the devastated king, there was only one way the past may live on.

    xQpLF.jpg

With the chicken in his beard, Indago was off to the high mountains of the south.  The air cold and snow fell ever so lightly.  Not for a long time has he made this journey, to where the only place he thought was suitable for the situation.  Still dressed with his armour, the bitter cold cooled his skin as he made his way up the mountain.  For so long, the snow has collected to make the cliffs steep as every step pushed Indago to his limit of his physical strength.  Though, Stormhammers are forced to be strong, and strong he was.  Battling the cold, it didn’t take long until the shrine was in sight.  Yemekar’s Shrine was the last hope for Indago.  With a final step, the anvil laid in front of the old dwarf.  Time did not wait when Indago reached into his braided hair, slowly pulling out the chicken’s corpse.  Avoiding eye contact with it, he rested it upon the damaged anvil.  There he took the bold step in meeting his eyes with those of the lifeless creature that wears death.  The King’s face tensed up as a small tear escaped the eye of the dwarf.  It made a streak down his cheek and over his lips to where he tasted the bitter of the salt.  Looking down, he closes his eyes as he moves his hand gradually to his waist.  Indago fluently rose to his two feet as he removed the hammer from his belt.  Gripping the tool with both hands, the King relaxed his body, and took a deep breath through his nostrils.  His chest raised as he opened his eyes to where the bright sunlight entered his sight.  Swiftly moving his hammer down, the feathers ruffled at the impact of the iron hammer.

    k2_bc_trek.jpg

Buried in the snow, alone, and senseless.  Not a thought in the old dwarf.  The flash of light thrown him off the steep cliff as the energy erupted on the mountain top.  Encased in snow, Indago only saw the peak of blue radiating from the snow.  Solitude.  Coldness.  Death.

On the anvil, the gold glistened once again.  A breath.  A cluck.  A life evaded from Dungrimm.  Another gifted.  The Holy Chicken name shall never diminish from the lands, as it is all that brings the connection to love.

  5. The institute for further changes of the Articles.

During a Lord’s meeting, Grand King Indago sits upon the throne as the lord’s issue several issues within the kingdom.  After much of the meeting is over, Grand King Indago suggests new ideas that could help maintain safety and prosperity within his lands.

Meh lords, I du believe it beh toime t’at we take in consideration t’at weh implement sum new additions tu t’e articles, forged boi our predecessors.  I will loike tu suggest an addition tu t’e Legitimacy Law as it seems tu beh in need uv additions.  Wit’in it, I would loike tu add t’is:

To all that confront the Grand King or Lord, may not disrespect him/her in any way.  This shall refer to pessimistic statements to their works and to the kingdom, and to them as an individual.  In doing so shall be deemed dishonorable and will be punished by imprisonment.

Within the articles in Article V, Section A, this does not infringe about the dwarves right to speech as it quotes, “This does not give the right to slander public officials or individuals. Such acts are borderline criminal and some may seek justice.”

Here, King Indago pauses and hears the response of his lords.

Roight, nuuw, I du believe it is necessareh t’at weh confront t’e issue upon fortresses and villages wit’in er lands.  Durrin Kjell’s reign, weh ‘ave seen t’e pain t’at ‘e put us t’rough in which divoidin t’e nation up.  I suggest weh implement t’e folowin statement:

Any land, hold or fortress shall not be of control of any particular clan.  Each of these areas are to be allowed of a sol ruler who may control such area, though may not select someone to continue control after their departure.  The lord’s council are to decide who shall control the settlement, during their absence.

It is best we naeh make un clan strongeh, and anot’er uv aneh weakness.  T’ough I du believe each clan diserves t’e roight uv a clan ‘all, and t’at if a clan wishes fer an expansion uv area, t’ey meh onleh beh permitted wit’in t’e boundaries uv a hold er t’e capital.

Nuuw continuin un, weh must add somet’in regardin t’e ownership uv fortresses.  It seems weh ‘ave confronted t’is issue and must beh resolved.  Su t’is is w’at I suggest:

-From all fortresses residing within or out of the lands of Urguan, used for military strategy and usage, are to be owned by the kingdom.  They are not to have any keeper, however may be permitted to an overseer chosen from the Grand Marshall and approved by the Lord’s council.  Only military officials residing in the legion may enter and stay within these establishments until they are to be deemed public for populus within the lands of Urguan.

It seems weh ‘ave alwehs followed t’is, t’ough weh are in desoire need fer it tu be official wit’in er foine articles.  Nuuw, tell meh, w’at du yeh t’ink meh lords?

    (Lords reply please)

  6. The Regulation of Kjell’s Law

A note is pinned within the guard house found by the fire place.  Guards and many other dwarves are capable of seeing such letter and are free to read it’s contents.

From your excellence, guards of Urguan, who serve under their Grand Marshall, Zaher Irongrinder, are to be reminded of Kjell’s law.  From within the articles, the law states:

-If a dwarf is found outside the lands of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, he is considered an apostate, until returned to the dwarven homeland. If said dwarf continues to refuse the Kingdom's will, this can amount to crimes of the highest degree.

With this in mind, I have received word of Dun Irongut leaving the capital and may be entering the lands of the North.  I am not certain he has declared himself within the area, though if he is found there, you are to seize this dwarf and return him to the capital for a potential trial.  Under kjell’s law, he is to be tried under the Lord’s Council.  I must also ask that you return any Goldhands found within the North.  They are not to be banished from the kingdom and must be returned to our lands.  If dwarves are to refuse, they are to be tried from the crimes of Treason and will be given a crime of a high degree.  I ask this to you, to maintain safety in our realm.

  7. The Removal of Dol’Garud

A letter is sent to the town of Dol’Garud and to those that maintain the area.  With it, a golden seal encloses the letter in which is broken to reveal the message.

Dwarves and men of Dol’Garud, from the King of Urguan, I bring you a message about the surge of your village.  As a town that is not prohibited by your king, the land is to be removed without any claim of it’s presence.  Villages upon Urguan are to be approved by your excellence, and due to the reason this lies next to the capitals borders, it is to be removed within a fortnight.  If you wish to deny the removal of your village, the keepers of the land are to be put on trial under the board of the Lord’s Council for the following crimes:

    -Section B: Laws

    • Conspiring Law: No individual or group of individuals will meet and plan any conspiracies against the Kingdom. To do so is a criminal offence.

    -Section G

    • All settlements located within the immediate territory of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan must pledge loyalty to the Grand King and follow the laws laid out in the Articles of Urguan.

    • The Jarl and its peoples must abide by the treaties and pacts that have been signed by the Grand Kingdom of Urguan.

    • There must be an unquestioning duty to aid the Kingdom in times of war. Under no circumstances is the Jarl allowed to deny the Kingdom for aid if in threat of attack.

    • Expansion of a particular hold requires the approval of the Grand King and Lord’s Council.

    -Section F

    • Naming Of Settlements: All dwarven built settlement must be named in the honour of the ancestors by use of the old dwarven language. There are instances that names of paragons may be used in the naming of holds but are used seldom.

If the members tried are to be found guilty, they are to be chosen the degree for their crimes and punished.

  8. Iron VIP: Get diamond shoes.  (Oh yeah)

Diamond VIP: Allow to create cages and carry animals around to sell or move animals.  Like a pokeball.  Or have different animals follow them as pets like cows.

Aether VIP:  I urge that Aether should be able to make minor regions for homes and personal areas.  They will be limited the amount of area and maybe three available regions.

  9.

    “To Kayrin Earendil,

I am writing to inform you that your declaration of independence has disappointed the Sons of Urguan greatly. After the hospitality we showed your people as the only nation willing to give you the lands you desired, you have chosen to stab us in the back in our darkest hour. The years we have toiled to defend your people and grant you a home have been laid to waste. You have shattered all your people have stood for and chosen instead to bow to a foreign invader.

We know of Oren’s edict and that while you hide now behind a veil of peace, you use it to shroud your true goals of treachery and deceit. We the dwarves have acted with honour. We have defended your people and died to protect your lands. Know now Adunian that you will never find peace, nor hospitality in the halls of dwarves ever again.

You have led us down a path that will end only in death.

    - Grand Kingdom Indago Stormhammer."

  10. Grand King Indago speaks to a large crowd of dwarves in Kal’Ithrun. His Lords accompany him at his sides. He looks in the coward, and upon seeing a particular individual smiles at his presence, and prepares to speak.

“Broddas ov Urguan, aldough it pains me much tah accept dat our own friend, Lord Fariken ‘as betrayed us ‘nd dissapeard, weh must move on. Todeh ah am choosin’ ‘is replacemnt. Dis dwarf ‘as served us fer meneh seasons, ‘nd ‘as proven tah beh both guud in moind, ‘nd character. Ah dunnae f’ink ah could ‘ave chosen anoda den as worthy. So, ‘ere it beh. Ah ‘ave chosen Hogarth Irongut ‘as dah new lord. A quoite guud choice ‘nd vereh respected amungst dah councils.”

He pauses, expecting a cheer from the crowd. He motions to Hogarth to come beside him, and speaks to him.

If yeh accept Hogarth, den dah toitel ‘ove Lord beh yers. Weh ‘ave much to attend to in dah council chambers.”

*He looks back at the crowd*

“Also, King’s Council meeting in tu days' eve”

((Hogarth Irongut (Jordan1921) is the new lord if he accepts. Also, kings council meeting Saturday at 4PM EST))

  11. King Indago Stormhammer sees a messanger enter his halls holding a letter.  After approaching the king, he says, "A letter for you sir, a message from the senitels."

Taking the letter by hand, he studies the marking in front of the letter, sealling the message inside.  "T'ank yeh meh lad," the Grand King states before reaching into his beard and tossing a few gold coins toward the messanger's way.

Taking the note back, he walks toward the end of his great hall, to where he finds himself at the throne.  Warmed by the fires aside of him, he greatfully removes his leggins and breastplate he wears for long period of times.  Feeling the comfort of his throne in which were removed of jagged spikes after Thorin's reign, he breaks the seal that accesses him to the letter.  Before reading it, he gives a grunt, and clears his throat.  Thus, the message is delivered.

After the reading, thoughts bounce within the mind of the Dwarven King as he tries to think of something to reply back.  He contemplates of his issues he endures and thinks of ways what must be best for his glorious kingdom.  Moments go by within the solitude of the throne room when King Indago begins to fiddle with his beard.  He feels the gems braided amongst the strands of his beard as he begins to think of something to write.  Reaching once more into his beard, he finds success in pulling out a quill, however seems lost of any ink.  Walking upon the royal carpet, Indago approaches a torch in which burned within the walls.  Placing the quill under the fire, he uses the ashes to darken the point.  Sitting down beneath the flame, he scrounges up a woven piece of paper in which he began to write.

    ==================================================================

To those that guide the Sentinels of the Equilibrium,

We have endured many hardships within the kingdom of Urguan, as we have entered a terrible war.  Power within the south seems to progressively grow for those who follow Ondnarch, though don't you forget we are a strong nation that shall never cease to fight on.  I must confess, that our hammers and our axes should not spill blood within the north, though it seems the time may be upon us that we must so willingly do.  I have received news of the ever growing "Scourge" that continues to corrupt the lives of many hominids upon these great lands.  I must say, we must be lucky as to stay clear of the chaos that has so corrupted your people.  Though, it may just seem our luck has just about burned out.  Our friends, that prospered within Lenfarthing, were once like us, until there home was taken by these dark powers.  Darkness can cover any light we reveal it, but it be best to conceal the growth in order to drive it away from the people of Anthos.  As King of Urguan, ruler of the Dwarves, I hereby accept your call for help in which you desire.  We shall sail our navy your way to help fight off the darkness that troubles you.  However, our support will be limited as forces from our invaders and Odnarch's curses still must be focused within our lands.  Until we alleviate these problems, our support shall be limited upon our sailors and volunteers who believe in your just cause.  Forever more, we can not risk the south being lost, though I do hope our efforts may help you guide to a better future, and a safer one too.  May Anbella guide you, as she shall give you the love and strength of honor that burns in our souls.

-Grand King Indago of the Stormhammers

    ==================================================================

The letter is signed and marked with a golden hammer.  It is dropped off at the merchants guild to where it will later find it's way to it's receiver.

  12. King Indago Stormhammer stands upon his throne, hearing of what is being told before him.  Slowly, he stands up,  as he does not believe what he is being told.  Glancing at the lords beside him, he veers at the reader.  Once the message is delivered, he steps down upon the throne he sits upon.  His iron boots clashing amongst the royal carpet, he looks around the room.

Brethren, sons of Urguan!  This is a time of awakening.  For the hammer has been lost for ages and news of it shall proceed over all the darkness we are facing.  Men, this is worth more gold within our mines.  It is time to seek what is rightfully ours, what is rightfully mine!  The hammer does not belong to those who guard it.  It must be returned to who that forged it, to the kin that battled the beast of Ondnarch.  This will not be a battle, we will face a war upon the threat that lurks under the south.  All I ask from you men is to follow, follow the will of our predecessors to reconquer the wielded hammer.  I ask that you prepare, for the suffering we will face to reclaim what is ours and I ask that you give your honor.  Give your honor upon the brethren you proceed with as we will find our victory!

Grand King Indago looks around at the lords beside him, out of breath from his speech.  Shortly after, sits amongst the gold throne as he sees Onar take the news to the remembrancers.

  13. From the details of the warclaim given to the dwarves, we approve the warclaim under the one condition that our fort is to be regioned from the issues that erupted from the last battle.  If the staff denies the request, we will then cancel the warclaim.  As of the issue of the war zone, the nation leaders are to still decide upon the area.  No zone has yet to be confirmed.
