Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am still pretty new to RPing, but I am looking forward to playing and learning more about it. I love playing MC and I can't wait to play on the server! How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Since I work a decent amount, I will probably be on the server for 10-15 hours a week, depending on work. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Role-playing is where you create and live out the life of a character in a fantasy-style game. The background and history of the character is completely made-up in whatever style the player chooses. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I don't really have any true experience with in-depth RPing, but I am looking forward to learning how to do it well. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Using outside information to help better your character in-game, i.e. someone telling you a monster is around the corner, and waiting for someone else to come along and distract it before moving on. In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Emoting is: Power Emoting is where a character forces the outcome of a certain situation instead of letting all participating players come to a conclusion together, i.e. Two players are fighting, and the first says "Ruthas swings a sword at Brothew and takes off his head." *Not allowing Brothew any time to "dodge" or "counter". What do you expect this server will be like?:I honestly don't know what this server is going to be like, but I am willing to learn and adapt so I can be productive and fun. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have not played any other true RPG servers before, but I have played on SavageRealms Server for a while. SavageRealms didn't really have much story to it, more of a quest system and then towny, just making whatever you want. It was more of a creative server than anything, and I wanted a change of pace. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes I have and I do agree. Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: Yes I do. How did you hear about us?: I was looking through the MCForums, and stumbled upon it. It definitely caught my eye. Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?: This is my second application. The first one already was removed, but the denial points are at the bottom of the application, if they are needed. In-Character: Character Name: Caelael Eytherighymn (Great-Arrow of The-Forests-of-the-Forgotten-Ways) What Race are you? (You may only be Human, Orc, Elf or Dwarf!) : Elf What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Wood Elf Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): In a small village hidden within the High Northeast forests, a Wood Elven couple discovered themselves with child. The whole village was ecstatic from the news, and held a celebration for the coming of a new young member to their town. Months later, The Wood Elfess gave birth to Caelael Eytherighymn. But, to the village’s surprise, another little elf was born, Caelik. Never has their family, nor any other, heard of twin elves ever occurring. The village celebration began once again for this miracle taking place. A century passed in quiet solitude for the small village. The twin elves grew and learned of the noble history of Asulon and the Elven Nation. While Caelael learned from the village elders of the traditions and crafts, Caelik began hunting and learning to fight from the village guardians and hunters. Not many passers-by ventured deep enough into the forest to discover the village. But the few travelers who found it brought many stories of heroics and adventures from throughout the land of Asulon that pulled at Caelik and Caelael’s curiosity of the world around them. Though hesitant, their community supported their willingness to travel the realm of Asulon and experience all that could be offered. After a few more years of preparation, the Miracle Twins set out on their journey. What are your Character's ambitions?: Caelael and his brother Caelik wish to fully experience the world unknown to them. Caelael wishes to learn about the magnificent architecture and wonders of nature found around the realm. He wants to learn from the greatest architects and landscapers known to create a world renowned monument for the Elven People. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Caelael's favorite tool would be axe. Being from a small, little-known village, growing up around the forest and natural-style buildings inspired him to try his hand at construction/landscaping/architecture. Through this, Caelael had to go and collect his own resources to work with. Over the years, he became quite skilled with the axe and came to be known to always have one with him wherever he went. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? One of Caelael’s skills is deception/trickery. Having a twin brother that looks so similar, it allowed him to play many tricks on the fellow villagers. With his brother at his side, they are able to confuse those around them into believing there is only one of them, making getting through certain obstacles much easier, or to play harmless pranks on friends. Another skill of Caelael's is Elven Architecture. With his interest in construction, Caelael has learned from the elders how to successfully build the traditional house of his village, which are built within the dense leaves and high branches of the forest. Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? As my brother and I leave the Cloud Temple, we see the halfling being mugged. Caelik quickly drags me behind a tree. “Caelael, sneak around to the other side of those two harassing that halfling. If things get rough, we must be prepared.” I nod my head and begin to sneak around the warriors. Then Caelik shouts, “ Hey! Don’t harass that halfling!” The first warrior says, “And how do you suppose you are going to stop us?” As Caelik attacks the first warrior, I sneak up behind the second warrior as he continues to harrass the halfling. As the first warrior falls, the second warrior notices. As he turns to attack Caelik, I sprint up behind him and smash my axe into his neck, severing his spine. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? As I usually do not do much talking, Caelik began speaking with the merchant. "Hello, good sir! My brother and I are looking for new outfits, as the ones we are wearing have been worn down from many days of wear. Do you have any clothes that might fit?" As he continues to speak to the merchant, I decide to look at the wares he contains at his stall. As the merchant returns with the tunics, I ask “Do you have a sharpening stone for tools? My axe has started to dull.” The merchant turns to me and says, “Yes, I do! The stones I carry were shaped to work perfectly for nearly every tool you could possibly need to sharpen! Let me go collect one for you.” Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: As Caelik goes into the hut, I wander around the outside the hut, looking for any signs of someone living in the area. I do not see anything, so I begin walking back to the hut. Suddenly, Caelik calls out, “Caelael! Get in here now!” I rush inside and find him looking down on a bed-ridden man. Caelik says, “This man looks very sick. I won’t feel right if we leave and not help him recover. I will go to a village near here and get some medicine. Stay with him and try to get him to eat some of our food while I am gone.” As Caelik leaves to collect the medicine, the old man slowly awakens. The man notices me and asks, “Who are you? Have you come to take what little I have left?” “No, Sir. I am Caelael. My brother, Caelik, and I discovered your hut by accident as we were wandering through the area. He has gone to collect medicine for you, in hopes to help you recover.” The man looks at me, hopeful and wide-eyed. “No one has ever been so generous to me in my life. I am incredibly grateful of your kindness.” I continue talking with the man for hours until Caelik returns with with medicine. A few days later, the old man is completely healed, so Caelik and I leave the old man’s hut and continue upon our journey. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? As Caelik begins speaking with the people of the camp, I begin to wander around looking at the items being sold or traded. Just as I am about to return to Caelik, I see the most beautiful axe I have ever seen. The axe is made of crystal and contains the most intricate details carved into the shaft and head. “Excuse me, how much is this beautiful axe?” The owner turns to me and says, “This axe was created by the most skilled blacksmith I have ever had the privilege to meet. It was actually one of the last items he ever made.” He looks at the axe. “With this axe being crystal, I normally would be unable to sell it, seeing as crystal is so rare. But, I can tell by the way your current axe is that you hold a true connection with such craftsmanship. So, I will make you a deal; if you swear to hold this creation with reverence, you may have it.” I smile at him and say, “ I swear to always take care of such a beautiful item and to protect it with my life.” The owner looks back at me, smiles, and hands the axe to me. “Take care.” You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: As the town guard explains the situation, Caelik quickly decides to join them on their mission. As I do not enjoy fighting if I can help it, I decide to stay back at the camp. “I am sorry, but I can’t help you with this mission. I will gladly help defend the town while many of the guards are away, if you would like the help.” The leader looks at me and says, “I appreciate the assistance with guarding the town. If you see anyone arrive that was not with the fighting party, ask them to either wait at the gate for us to return or to move along.” Anything else you would like to say?: I hope to meet many new people and have a great adventure. My brother and I are eager to join and explore. My brother's account name is Alecoz2.
