Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I am quite proficient in the use of the English language.
Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am a competitive swimmer, swimming on my high school swim team. I am also an honors student and a student pilot.
How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Around 10- 15 hours.
What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: My definition of Role-playing is: when a person acts out a role that is not themselves, such as in a Role-playing game where they are required to “live a different life” by behaving differently and acting with influence of a different historical background.
What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I’ve played a few Role-Play games like Skyrim, but none where I’ve actually had to act out like in Lord of the Craft. I hope to learn quickly and to prove myself in Lord of the Craft.
In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:
Basically metagame is any outside information or resources that play a large role in the outcome of the situation. In gaming terms, that’s any conditions, info, or resources that you know outside of the actual game that alters or influences what you and others do in the game. For Lord of the Craft’s purposes, that’s probably just any information that you know as the player that you incorporate into your role-play character who would otherwise have no way of knowing that info.
In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Emoting is: Power-emoting is when one character forces the result of his actions on another without the other’s consent. In roleplaying, an example would be “William charges Dave and runs him through with his sword.” This gives no chance to the other player to add to the roleplay by dodging or parrying.
What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect this server to be very exciting and very different from other servers that I have played on. From how popular this server is, I believe that this server must be very well-run with a great community.
What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have mostly played on pvp servers such as TrueCraft, CapitolCraft, and some non-pvp servers like CastawayCraft. I much enjoy the pvp servers, as I am a competitive person, but I think that Role-Playing will be a new element that I will much enjoy. I wouldn’t say I have left these servers, but in the hopeful event that I am accepted to Lord of the Craft, I am sure that it will take precedence over the others.

William “The Hammer” Carver

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): William Carver was born in the year 22 to loving parents John and Lorena Carver. His lineage is traced all the way back to Horen. His parents live a content life on their farm; they were lucky enough to dodge the plague. There he grew up, becoming a very strong man from the tough farm work. He never intended to stay there, though, as he wanted something more from life, something more exciting than just working on a farm each and every day. He grew up as an only child who was very courageous and always diligent. He became fairly useful with a sword, practicing by keeping the zombies out of the pigpen. He wanted to see the world someday and hopefully make a difference for the better.
Now he is a roaming traveler who has a knack for swordsmanship as well as music. He left his home when he was 21 and has been trying to find his true self ever since. He never passes up an opportunity to serve somebody. He grew to be a strong man, with black hair and an abundance of facial hair. His eyes are also black. His most prominent recent experience was about 3 weeks from the present date. He had offered an old man a good sum of money to allow him to stay in his spare room for a few nights. The man accepted. The second night there, he awoke to the sound of a loud crash in the kitchen. He found two intruders in the home. One of these intruders was in the process of putting a knife to the old man’s throat. William did not know what was going on or why it was happening, but he knew that the old man was a good man, and so he acted instinctively and single-handedly chased both intruders from the house. At that point, William knew what he wanted to do with his life. He wanted to help those who couldn’t help themselves. He wanted to defend the weak from those who would abuse them. He wanted to drive corruption from Asulon. He wanted to become famous for his valiant deeds.
What are your Character's ambitions?: To learn about the land of Asulon, as he has been isolated from most of the events of the land while on the farm. He desires to become an expert swordsman. He wants to make a name for himself as a defender of honesty and benevolence.
What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Either the Sword or the Hoe. He was a farmer for most of his young life, but does not plan to stay that way. He is inspired by the responsibility and power that comes with wielding a weapon like the sword.
What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?
Farming. This should be self-explanatory, as he’s lived on a farm for 21 years.

Other Information about your Character:
He is also very romantic and is very charming with most ladies. He wants to marry a fine lady when he finds the right one, but that has not happened yet. He also loves to hunt, and is pretty useful as a zombie slayer. He’s deathly afraid of endermen, however. He got his nickname “The Hammer” during his teens when he knocked the heads off of 2 skeletons with a sledgehammer.
Open-Response-Questions
Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? He commands both warriors to cease their actions and explain themselves. He then listens to their replies, which included: “Why do you care?” and “He’s just a halfling, he doesn’t deserve this money.” He then proceeds to warn them of continuing their behavior. In response, they both draw their swords and threaten William. William steps in front of the halfling and draws his own sword in defense. The two warriors charge him, but Will displays his natural God-given talents and injures one of the warriors, at which point they turn and retreat. The halfling offers him a substantial payment for his actions, but he refuses to accept it.
Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? “Why hello there, well-dressed sir, I would like to see your finest swords.” After a while, he notices a man attempting to steal a valuable necklace. He cries out thief, and he and some other good-willed men were able to return the necklace to the sharp-dressed merchant.
Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: He conducts a more thorough search and finds a body a ways out in the woods after following a blood trail. He assumes that the items belonged to the unfortunate soul and buries the body as no one else is here to do it. He plans to find out more about this poor man’s story whenever he can and bring the problem to the attention of the public.
Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? With no money and little to barter with, William offers himself for any sort of labor they might need in return for food and shelter. They hire him as a night guard to keep monsters and thieves away. He works hard and valiantly until he can move on.
You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: William immediately offers his help to the people of the town. He goes the extra mile and manages to capture one alive so that they can interrogate him for any other information, because they are afraid that they may be linked to other groups of bandits and hope to eliminate those as well.
Anything else you would like to say?: I want to have a great time and bring my best to Lord of the Craft. If I am accepted, I promise to be nothing but helpful and to uphold the laws. My friend who referred me to this website has told me great things, and I plan on having some great role-play situations with him. I believe I will be very good at staying in-character while in-game.
