Out-Of-Character
Minecraft Account Name:
Inflames999
How old are you?:
I am 18 years of age.
Time-Zone/Country of Residence:
I live in the Americas
Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:
It is what I am best known for, as a matter of fact. It is also something I hope to see in this server.
Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:
I'm a gamer like anyone else here, and you can say I take Role-playing a bit too far. I get lost in it, and can not stop as if under a spell; a new reality.
How much time could you be on the server weekly?:
As much time as I possibly can, lady and/or gent. 10 hours a day, if possible. As I see fit in a schedule (which I do not have).
What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:
I come here searching for enjoyment as another being, and a community that know's the heartiness of role-play. I was a blade of grass once. Spending my summer days growing and pretending; always wondering but never knowing just what the mowers were thinking. In layman's terms, though, it is when you pretend to be something other than your former, much more real state of body and mind.
What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:
I'll have you know that even the jocking heartthrobs of Fort Griffhold know the prowess and firm structure of simple role-play. If them, then I and all alike have learned to grasp the concept. I've had only the finest of experiences.
In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:
Now that I have sunken more time into this description and fully understand the term, it turns out I knew what it was, but had a different word for it where I live. My friends and I continuously state that it is a horrid crime against the spirit of the game, against the rules of the game, and against your fellow players. It's when you use your thoughts, and not your character's thoughts and knowledge on anything game related, whether it be statistics of players and monsters, to knowing far too much than you both should. *Don't do the efficient thing when your character could be doing the fitting thing.
In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Emoting is:
Well, *scratches head* It's when you assert your emotions by verbal accord! *punches kidney*
What do you expect this server will be like?:
Like me, of coarse. That's really what I expect. A community thinking like I do at all times. No "OMG! LOL D00D! DHAT WAZ AWZUM LOLOLOL!", but a sophisticated and smart community who enjoy gaming as their character.
What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:
As stated in the sentence above, you have your answer as to why I have NEVER stuck with any of the servers played. I do single player and barely ever set foot in a multi-player region. It's never worth my time. Then I saw a video that showed your server, and I had to get in, or at least try. First and foremost, the application is just enough to get me hooked.
Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:
I have read them thoroughly. Pretty basic to understand, holding very agreeable terms.
Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules:
Of coarse I do! My character may have been an outlaw and a thief at one point, but for now I am a man of the craft.
How did you hear about us?:
Ye Olde Youtubbe, a revolutionary new form of technology, moving parchment, and sorcery.
Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?:
As of now, yes. My last one felt like a true testament that took TWO hours to create and think up. I didn't know what you meant by 'meta-gaming', but now I know you mean 'Elarping*', which is what we say around my region. *Efficient Live Action Role Playing. Some of the information here is better adjusted as I've read into more aspects of the server from the Youtube community. Here is my old post's link as requested;

In-Character:
Character Name:
Cloud Kind-heart
What Race are you? (You may only be Human, Orc, Elf or Dwarf!) :
I am a human, serving under Lord Notch. I have dabbled in dark arts like that of the Elves, and can craft just as good as a Dwarf and Orc combined!
What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race):
Well, I am half Elf on my mother's side, so I am a bit elfish.
Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):
My story is not a story to be proud of. But under my new-found atonement, maybe I can change my path in this bright new world of hope. Born and bred by my human father and Elf mother, my family was very much looked down on as it is uncommon and considered an act against notch to breed between races. With that taken in account, I was forced into thievery and craftmanship to make use of my debouched existence.
Working my trade at night, gallivanting with townsfolk by morn', I almost never had sleep by the time I reached adulthood. Aged eighteen, I am now traveling and using my skills for good elsewhere, searching for a new home and keen horizons. I'm a light-bodied person, swift and agile. Smart and useful. Long dark brown hair flows down into my half-sharp ears. The ears that let me hear for miles are a gift as I say. To others, it's a disgusting sight to behold. That said, I'm polite and nice. Others.. not so much. Here's hoping for a place to plant footings and craft my days away in harmony.
What are your Character's ambitions?:
To be accepted. That's all I really want. Hopefully I can be here. I want to be accepted as the Half-elf turn-of-heart I truly am.
What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):
In full irony, I was raised by my father's wishes in the art of bare-handedness to really toughen me up for a mob fight if ever encountered. Where I come from, children under eighteen aren't even allowed to wield a sword as mandated by Griffhold law. After making them for so long, maybe now I can see just what my crafts are capable of.
What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?
Crafting, creating from raw materials. I'm a pacifist, so I just make the tools for others without ever having the chance to use them. I also am known for having a 'silver tongue' so to speak. Able to talk my way out of anything. Another perk my father bestowed to me before he was sent off to the mines for grand thievery.
A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format, if you do not know how to acquire one, copy and paste this link into your browser: ( http://tinyurl.com/Lotcscreenshot ): This is me shortly before my 17th birthday. I haven't changed much..
Other Information about your Character:
I'm a smoker. Sort of got pressured into it, though it wasn't like there were many people my age in a miner's colony.
Open-Response-Questions
Each and every question must be answered with a minimum of a single full paragraph and entirely in RP.
Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?
Warriors! There is no need to pester this poor fellow you see before you. I used to be a thief, I know how it is. Here, take my satchel. It contains all the money I own. Take it and leave him be. Now where are you headed young halfling? *gently kneel to his height and put my arm on my knee* "Alras"? I've never heard of it.. Do you think you can show me the way there? I'd be very thankful seeing as hoow I saved you from being a half a pound of aged pottage!
Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?
Gently smile and wave, as I have no need for wares. I could ask for further directions to the next settlement, but I don't think I need a planned destination. I head off, thinking of the memory of a nice stranger, just perfect for my first day of travel.
Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:
There seems to be no lock on this chest, so I'm sure they wouldn't mind. Stealing the golden sword would just be doing them a favor, so I leave it to craft an iron sword. As I leave the hut, I notice king-sized creatures looming from over a hill in the distance. I can tell they're watching me.. judging me. And then they vanish. Rather odd..
Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?
Hello, wanderers. May I see your wares? I'm rather low on stock from my travels and would love to see anything you can offer me. *They question if I am the man that gave two of their warriors all of my coin* That? Well, it wasn't all of my coin, I only said that so they would stop pestering the halfling. "You mean the thief!" a villager shrieks out. A thief? Could this be true? It was all a mix-up. Your warriors should have said something! "And miss out on all that coin? Ha! Get out of our camp, fool!" Another belts out, his voice less hesitant for attack. Using my sharp wits and master vocal attributes, I qualm the villagers panic and they offer me a place to stay after some heavy bargaining.
You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:
As requested by one of their citizens, I agreed the night prior to helping them in any ordeal they face from this day on. I have no other choice but to help. I climb the broad stone pillar with directions engraved onto it and pull out a bow thrown to me by a guardsman. Aiming directly at his skull I pull back as hard as I can and let the bow fire; missing him completely. I was never the best with weapons, so I call out for a full attack. Few wounded, I sneak away into the forest without any of my gear.
Anything else you would like to say?:
Now I have nothing. No money, no wares for trade, no tools for gathering resources. I saw on the pillar a word etched with coal: 'Lord of the Craft'. I have no incantation as to just what they mean by that, but it said to go North and north I shall go. *Persevere into brush as everything cuts to a game screen filled with GUI. (On a side note, I'm really glad you told me of my error, as I feel a lot better of the administrators here on this particular server. Takes the edge off)
