Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):Stevanos was raised in a simple fashion. Being the only child of a lower class merchant family in Oren, Stevanos was raised to carry on the family business. At the age of 9 he started working in his family's small, but modest shop of "rare antiquities" that his father would purchase from wandering traders and foreigners. His father, a portly middle aged man by the name of Selvik, woke him up every morning, sat him down on the dinner table, and told him his three rules to having a profitable business: There is no such thing as a free sample, make sure your merchandise is genuine, and never, ever, lie... unless you are absolutely sure you can get away with it.
When Stevanos turned 15, His father felt he was old enough to tend to the shop on his own. During a unusually slow day, a strange man entered the shop to sell his wares. Now Stevanos was used to local kooks and rif-raf coming off the street to sell there "one of a kind items" in the shop and , thanks to his fathers tutelage, he was able to spot the difference between true treasure hunters hoping to sell of there finds and low life scum trying to sell there old, dried leather shoes for a few extra bits to spend at the pub. But this man ,however, was difficult to read. He dressed in black robes with gold trim along with gloves and boots of a similar fashion. His face, young and slightly tanned due to overexposure to the sun, was hidden within a hood. Before Stevanos cold ask the gentlemen if he could help him, his father came rushing into the store and without so much as a word kicked Stevanos out and locked the door behind him. It was certainly unusual for his father to act in this sort of fashion. Who was that man? What was his relationship to his father? That look in his eye; was that anger? No, no more like a combination of anger and fear! Knowing he was not going to get any of his questions answered standing outside, Stevanos left to find his mother in the hopes that she could fill him in on the situation.
To this day, Stevanos has no idea how a man like his father was able to marry the gem that was his mother; a slender raven haired women who would have looked better suited to be the wife of a noblemen rather than a small time merchant. As he made his way home, Stevanos stopped at the corner near his house when he spotted a small gathering of people looming over his front yard. Feeling a sense of worry running up and down his spine, Stevanos dashed to the small crowd. As he drew closer to the crowd, it parted, allowing 4 guards carrying a bloodied sheet filled with a human sized frame out of the house. Stevanos, filled with panic and fear, rushed the guards and attempted to remove the cloth. The sudden attack from nowhere caused the guards to hesitate and that was all the time Stevanos needed to remove the top section of cloth and turn his worst nightmare into reality. There, with her face frozen in horror, was his mothers lifeless body. From the look of her wounds, she had been stabbed multiple times.
Stevanos, not able to cope with what he had just seen, felt the world begin to spin. How was this possible? He had just seen his mother no more than six hours ago! She was full of life and love for her family. Not knowing what else to do, Stevanos ran back to the store, hoping that his father was still there. The entire run to the store was a blur. Thousandths of different explanations ran threw his mind as to why this had happened. If he had been more alert of his surroundings he would have noticed the faint smell of smoke in the air and the sounds of screaming people as he rounded the bend to the store. It wasn't until the noise and smell became overwhelming that he left his train of thought to witness the sight of his family's shop burning to the ground. It was to much for his mind to comprehend. the last thing he remembered seeing before the world when dark was the sight of a man dressed in black robes with gold trim leaving the area much slower than everyone around him.
Stevanos awoke the next morning in the bed of his neighbor. He had seen the chaos that was his family's shop burning down and when he went to render aid he found Stevanos clumped on the ground unconscious. When he asked if his father was OK, Stevanos was given nothing but silence. He didn't need a vocal answer. He already knew before he even asked. For several days after, Stevanos moved threw life as a ghost. Nothing seemed to remove the sense of loss and displacement he had felt since his life took a turn for the worse. Every night since then he had been having the same dream of being surrounded by darkness, seeing the sight of his mother's face, and watching his family's life burn to nothing but ash. but no matter what happened in the dream it always ended the same way: The man in Black and gold would be there watching from a distance and laughing at him. Who was that man? What happened when he left the shop? For all the things Stevanos did not have the answer for one thing was unmistakably obvious. He was not going to find any of his answers sitting around and feeling sorry for himself. Feeling a sense of determination he had not felt for a while, Stevanos sold every little bit he owned to acquire everything he needed for his journey. After making sure that all the arrangements for his family were in order and thanking his neighbor for his kindness, Stevanos left his home of 15 years and set out to find the man who could answer the questions he needed.

Before the look of shock can leave the warriors face, Stevanos delivers a headbutt to the warrior knocking him on his back. Well I would have to agree that this would be worth that much, if not more, if this was not a fake.""I beg your pardon sir?"" You see this is not solid gold. It's only gold plated you can tell from the slight gold build up around the corners where whoever smelted it double layered the pendent. and your assorted diamonds and gems are mostly glass replicas, but very impressive non the less. Ill give you 30 minas for it." As he leaves however, he notices a small piece of parchment near the bed of the hut. Seeing as this parchment is quite new the occupants of this hut must be out foraging or hunting. It's possible that they simple have no visitors and see no reason to hid their valuables. Stevanos give out a sigh of defeat "well that might be a bit of a problem. You see I have nothing of value to give. Unless of course you would take a story as your payment?" The traders mumble to themselves for a moment before they turn back to Stevanos. "OK stranger if your story is good then you can eat and drink your fill." After finding a place to sit amongst them, Stevanos begins the tale of his journey. The tragic death of his family, the paths he had taken, the merchants that he has swindled, and the family in the forest he had almost stolen from.
