Out-Of-Character
Minecraft Account Name:
ARCTICW3AS3L
How old are you?:
14, fifteen in October.
Time-Zone/Country of Residence:
US mountain time/Arizona time, I currently (and most likely indefinitely) live in the USA
Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:
I would definitely say that I do, however, I am not the best of speller at times. I do fairly often mix up vowels, but it’s not really severe. On occasion I will type defiantly as opposed to defiantly, or type to fast and hit a neighboring key. It’s not a really common occurrence, but it does happen.
Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:
I am an avid gamer who plays minecraft frequently. I have good sense of humor, and I'm not afraid to shoot some witty (not offensive) insults at a bully who is overall making a server not as fun, but if you respect me and my fellow players I am easy to get along with and can be very fun to be around.
How much time could you be on the server weekly?:
Around fifteen hours a week, once school starts. 1-2 hours on week days, possibly more, and four to eight hours on Friday and Saturday. Note that unless away from my home I will not be able to play on Sundays (and it’s not even for religious purposes!).
What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:Acting a specific role. Taking a character on and determining its actions, thoughts and reactions. Take your pick, its pretending you are a different, usually fictional entity (I have personally Roleplayed as an angry chair before, that's why I say entity as opposed to person.).
What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:
I have previous experience in the art of roleplaying, as I played Dungeons and Dragons for about half a year. Sadly my party and DM have since disbanded. I also frequent the RolePlay section of the Garry's Mod servers, and I am proud to say, that I am the 1% that actually roleplays on the servers!
In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:
To me, its having outside knowledge of secrets or content that brakes the game's suspense or surprises. I also heard it described as "having a strategy guide". Even ghosting in game where spectating is a element is considered meta-gaming.
In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Emoting is:
Forcing actions on other players, without giving then a chance to act, reply or react. Gaming compared to Power-Emoting would be an acceptable "ARCTICW3AS3L stabbed the man." as apposed to a Power-Emoting "ARCTICW3AS3L stabbed the man, completely incinerating most of his vital organs, than proceed to eat his heart, as it still throbbed"
In your own Words, define what Out of Character (OOC) is:
Comments or opinions you might have, and want to express that would conflict with the opinions and/or views of the character you are roleplaying. Ex. Brb, I gotta go let my cat out!
In your own Words, define what In Character (IC) is:
Comments or opinions your character might have towards a certain situation. Even if you personally disagree with them, your character might not.
What do you expect this server will be like?:
Because of the rigorous screening process, and what I have seen of the staff, indicate that this will be an elite, yet accepting server full of friendly villagers, vile villains, monsters to be slayed and challenges to overcome, all fueled by the hand picked roleplayers skilled enough to be white listed. I hope, I too, will be accepted into the community.
What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:
I have played on many an independent server before, before finding then engaging and lackluster, or simply because they were far to open to the public, and let some unreasonable individuals run rampant, spreading grief, unhappiness and disrespect for the rules amongst the faithful citizens of the servers. Some examples are the Survival games servers, and my old favorite prison server: 108.163.251.83:25583
Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:
Of course! I find them reasonable, and acceptable.
Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules:
Yes, with enthusiasm unmatched!
How did you hear about us?:
My fellow minecrafter, Nhojemon.
Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?:
No, I have not previously entered an application.
In-Character:
Character Name:
Known by street name: Skore, But born as Sailas Korefield.
What Race are you? (You may only be Human, Orc, Elf or Dwarf!) :
Human
What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race):
Northerner. Raised in Southern city.
Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):
Raised in a small Southern village, Sailas always felt out of place. The other boys wanted to work on the farms, or open a shop and eventually settle down and raise a family, but he felt his calling was unique amongst the others. It wasn’t until the age of seven, that Sailas realized he was different. He was shorter than the others, and a great deal paler. He was just a bit darker skinned than a handful of melon seeds. Everyone else in his small farming village had a hue barley lighter than the wood of the oak tree. Sailas was taunted, and tormented for being different, since before he can even recall. However, in the dark tunnel of his early life, one light shown through. His mother. She cared for him and nurtured him. She shared her great well of knowledge with him, rather than have him go to the school house. He never even thought to ask her where this great abundance of wisdom came from. His father-while Sailas was merely five- went traveling on business purposes to Arethor, where he contracted the plague and passed away. Because of this Sailas was put to work on the farm at the early age of nine. Though he toiled his life away until the age of thirteen on the farm, he never shared in the enthusiasm the other boys had about farm work. Thirteen was also the year his mother died. She had passed at the good age of eighty five, and simply of old age. She explained on her deathbed how his birth parents were a young couple, who couldn’t care for a baby, as being a wizard in training was no small task on its own. They loved him, but felt there destiny was not simply raising a family. Sailas’s mom gladly took him as her own. A baby to love helped her and her husband overcome the grief still haunting them from witnessing the fall of Aegis.
Sailas took no comfort in this explanation, and assured her in her final minutes, that she WAS his true mother, that he understood the couples choice, and he would not go looking for them. The final words they exchanged were “I love you”.
Sailas left town with what few physical belongings he had: a small sack of coins, a hand-made stone dagger, and a simple leather trench coat. He made his way to a cave where his plans were to spend two years meditating and trying to seek his destiny, whilst only living off of a half dozen eggs, a sole cookie, and a leg of hobbit. [OOC: Just kidding! It was a pork chop!]. Sadly he only lasted four days and fell unconscious. He was marched to the cloud temple by the monks and healed up. He walked down the path, and stood at the very center of the cloud temple, the sun on his back. This is where he is this very moment, a fine youth in his prime, aged 17 human years, a smile on his face, the new name of Skore and a destiny to be sought.
What are your Character's ambitions?:
Skore’s ambitions are simple and almost paradoxical. He wishes to find his ambition, or rather his destiny. He will travel wherever the road takes him, until he finds his calling.
What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):
Skore is a jack of many trades. He finds he is but average in the arts of mining, excavating, woodcutting and arching, however, he does have a bit more than average skill when it comes to swordplay.
What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?
His good sword arm, his cunning wits, and his rebellious but charming nature give him above average talent in:
Swordplay
Pickpocketing (if only from the few who won’t be terribly affected by the act).
And
Conning (again only from the easily charmed rich girls and easy to exploit, pigheaded nobles.)

Other Information about your Character:
Skore has a well-developed set of “street smarts”, as well as a charming and handsome nature. He is also a pioneer in the new, revolutionary art known as “Parkour”
Open-Response-Questions
Each and every question must be answered with a minimum of a single full paragraph and entirely in RP.
Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?
[OOC: In all of the open-response-questions, I refers to my character.]
First off, I would walk slowly to the warriors, who I can now see are lowly bandits, and attempt to intervene with words, and offer to pay the price they demand from the Halfling. If this strategy does not work, I would draw my dagger and attempt to bring the Halfling closer to me, and then start a fight. I would hope the Halfling joins me in combat as I am attempting to aid him, but if this is not the case I am only outnumbered by one, and they seem inexperienced. I would focus on crippling them, stabbing and making blows to exposed weak points, such as in between the shoulder blade, or in the thigh, but being careful not to kill the bandits. If I was to emerge victorious I would probably taunt them as they flee, maybe even pickpocketing them, even if just to prove a point. If the Halfling aided me in the brawl, I would toss half of the loot to him, and continue on my journey.
Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?
I would strike a conversation up, maybe asking about his accent, and were he is from. Depending on my current status, I would either attempt to make a trade if his wares interest me, or attempt to charm him into a false sense of security and rob him, but doing in very nonchalantly. In other words, if I am well set and not in great need of food/equipment/money I would make an honest purchase. If in great need of those things, I would maybe “accidentally” push a good off the stall, and grab a handful of coins/an apple/ whatever else I need while he bends down.
Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:
I would attempt to look for signs of an ambush or a trap, then see if anyone is nearby. I would probably take one or two of the bars, If they don’t slow me down too much, to sell later, then I would test the sword and see if it is balanced well, If it is, I would either use it as a weapon, or sell it if I have better equipment.
Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you in the common tongue, how do you respond?
Greet them back, and try to make allies. I would probably ask something along the lines of “Do you have anything to spare for a fellow adventurer?” If not for free I would be courteous and accept that, then try to make a deal, either by bartering, or offering pure labor services. If they can’t even do that, I would sadly accept the facts and continue wandering aimless in the forest.
You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:
I would probably commit my help. I would either use my average arching skills to take out multiple, then lead a head on assault with the rest of the party. I would mostly focus on helping individuals who seem to be having troubles in their one-on-one skirmishes with the bandits.
Anything else you would like to say?:
PICK ME PICK MEEEE!!!
