    Elwyn shuffles through the crowd, printing her name on the sheet below the others who wish to serve as leaders.

    Medi’iran

     

    Waiting patiently for the moment, the chatter coming to a rest, Elwyn strides toward the crowd of familiar Elves.

     

    “As I’m sure you’re aware the election to become Medi’iran has finally become competitive, with my signature making myself the third candidate. Ever since my first visit to Lin’everal, I’ve aspired to lead the Mali’aheral, to introduce our race to further victory.”

     

    Elwyn’s nervous expression quickly turns to one of joy as she continues her speech.

     

    “And I’m quite pleased to see all of you gathered here today, for so many of you to take an interest in your future leaders but I find it heart wrenching to wander through the halls of the ‘Tomb,’ never spotting a single Mali’aheral, or to sit at the bar and only be able to accommodate 3 or 4 around of my kin, forcing the others to leave.  This is none of our faults but simply due to the lack of certain facilities available to us.”

     

    “As the ‘Tomb’ expanded from just a small cluster of us, to the reunion of our race our thirst for knowledge and science has grown, and so have their facilities. In fact I have never seen such a huge gathering of books and must applaud Lelien for making that possible, however the bar remains to be the only place where we can meet recreationally and talk.”

     

    Elwyn begins to move more freely now, not glued to her previous spot of addressing the Mali but encompassing the surrounding area in her strides.

     

    “How can we expect to dine, chat, eat or drink if these basic rooms aren’t even available to us? A bar is simply not good enough anymore, I’m sure you’ve all come to this conclusion too. As one of the Medi’iran I would aid Lelien, or whoever the future Sohaer will be, not to forget about the simple things. It can be easy to overlook these basic luxuries in the pursuit of Science and Maehr’sae hiylun’ehya but I will ensure they are not. I will ensure that as a Medi’iran we can gather socially and do more than just fashionably drink tea. “

     

    “Maehr’sae isn’t just the progress of Science and Literature. I will make it so that as a family if you wish to dine, you can of course visit the Bistro, that if you wish to wish to simply have lunch with a llir there  will be a dining hall. If you wish to have a dress tailored or a suit designed for an upcoming Masquerade Ball, or to even host a Ball then you can! These are just some of few examples we’ve overlooked and need to have rectified. I will not allow them to be ignored any longer! My first and foremost act will be to set up a Bistro.”

     

    Elwyn steps back signifying the end of her speech awaiting the next Canidate.

    Combat ability: I've previously been a member of the Lumi'drim that served New Malinor. In my time working there I become familiar with sword and accustomed to the cumbersome weight of armour. I was no stranger to battles as fight frequently broke out, more than I would have cared for.                 
     
    Reason for joining: Every since my first visit to the Tomb and I saw Artorias guarding the other Mali'thill, I knew I wanted to model myself after him. I wanted to follow in his footsteps and join the Sillumiran, rising the ranks so that I could one day command as he does.

    Of what age are are you?: 164

     

    What combat experience do you have?: Not even less than an Elven week ago to date I was attacked by a ferocious Orc. Luckily after some time spent brawling with the beast, using only my trusted high heels and purse, the guards came to finish off my work. (It was one of the hardest OOC battles I have ever faced. It took 20 minutes of stalling for guards to rescue me). So essentially I have no real combat experience.

     

    Do you belong to any other orders or guilds?: No

     

    Do you swear on the Mali people to uphold peace and order in the Elven nation?: I swear by Malin, Malinor, the new and the old and all the Mali who reside in its borders that I will uphold the peace within our lands to my last breaking stiletto!

    Origins of your birth, and your place of living: I was born in Aegis but I currently do not reside anywhere. I am interested in purchasing a home here in Haelun'or.

    How can you declare you are Mali'thill? I declare that I am Mali'thill through my light blonde Platinum hair, pointy ears and my skin tone. I am also educated in the Elven tongue.

    Why do you wish to become a citizen of our cihi? I wish to become a citizen so I can live among fellow Mali'aherals. Where purity is important and there are no childish humans . Any other place outside of Haelin'or would not be suitable.
     
    What is your personal vision for our blessed race? It's the only race that matters. We are gifted with purity and highly esteemed intelligence . In a perfect world, everyone would be Mali'aheral and no other race would exist. There would be no wars, democracy and peace in our holy land.

    What does maehr'sae hiylun'ehya mean to you? I believe it means progress and health just as I was thought as a child. It thought me intelligence and wisdom are more important than money or titles.

    What Elven phrase do you particularly take to heart? Please explain why: I would have to say Maehr'sae hiylun'ehya as it tells us the pursuit of intelligence and progress is more important than violence or other such acts that are against the gaining of wisdom.

    What is the subject of the first book you may submit to the college? I would hope to have learn at least the basic of water evocation by then to help aid others who seek that path as well.

    What would be your reaction if you ever saw a human, orc and unknown Mali'aheral travel the Anthos Highway together? I would shun and avoid any discussion with them as orc are uncivilised and humans are immature but I ever met that mali'aheral ever again I would question there intensions.

    Are there any other details about yourself you wish to relay to the mali’aheral? I am interested in learning water evocation as I previously mentioned and I was wondering if there are any Mali'aheral who would be interested in taking me on as there student?

    Full Name: Adamus Archdiamond

    Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): Adamus was the youngest of 5 and had a twin brother, Charles. He grew up in a small village in the wilderness, with his mother and father. Travellers would often stumble across the village for a place to stay for the night, telling stories of the great Oren Empire. Adamus loved to listen to the travellers tell stories of the huge majestic cities as he was never old enough to travel with his parents to Salvus. His father was a lumberjack and sometimes struggled to put food on the table but he always pulled through. Adamus was sturdy, strong-willed and had light skin. Even though he was suited to physical labour and was skilled with a sword it was his ambition to become a renowned writer instead of a lumberjack like his father. He loved to read and write.
    Not having many luxuries in life, he and his siblings would spend a lot of time together. Adamus and his brothers grew close to each other, but he and Charles grew particularly close and were practically inseparable. One day at the age of 16, when Adamus and Charles were venturing the forests around the village, they strayed too far away. A group of strange men approached Amadus. Charles ran at the sight of the mysterious strangers but Admaus was surrounded. Taking him captive, they brought him to a small orcish market and sold him as a slave to an orc farmer. He worked as a farmer tending to the pigs.
    He was treated poorly by the orc, forced to sleep and eat with the pigs and was barely given enough food to not starve. One day after 12 years of being held captive he desperately made an attempt to escape but was caught and brought back to the farm where he was chained up in the basement and punished mercilessly. After a number of years a new slave had been sold to the orcish farmer. Although it had been over a decade Adamus instantly recognised that it was his brother Charles. He had deliberately got himself captured. That night Charles woke Adamus up to help him escape. Charles had left a bag of supplies hidden in a nearby forest. It occurred that neither of them had ever been away from the village and didn’t know where it was. They made their way to the Cloud Temple to gather supplies and rest for their journey to Salvus to start a new life. Although they were low on minas they were determined to succeed in the city of opportunity.
     
     
    Ambitions for the Future: He often heard stories of the great riches of Salvus and aspired to become a renowned writer.
     
    Personality: Adamus is strong will and persistent in any of his goals, and loves to read and write.
    Skills: He is a very talented writer, and is also suited to physical labour making him skilled with a sword or axe.

    1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do?
     
    Answer: Adamus would examine the cloaked figure from a far, checking to see what he is planning to do. He would approach the man, but still keeping his distance and not trying to be seen by the cloaked figure. He would examine him checking for any weapon. Seeing a sword concealed in his cloak, Adamus would quickly make his way to the nearest guards, knowing he couldn’t just ignore the problem,
    Adamus: “Guards that man is concealing a weapon and I think he plans to assassinate the emperor”.
    Guards: “We’ll send someone to check it out. You’ve done your emperor a great servive.”
    2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react?
     
     
    Answer: Adamus sees the unstable old man and feels compelled to help him. Adamus is skilled with a sword but feels uneasy about fighting the bandits. He grips a book from his bag feeling more comfortable with that in his hands. Adamus runs over to the old man.
    Adamus: “Lay down your weapons or you will regret it”.
    The bandits laugh at Adamus who is gripping a book.
    Bandit 1: “What are you going to do, read to me?”
    Both of the bandits stop paying attention to the old man and focus on Adamus. The old man gripping his iron blade sneaks behind The second bandit.
    Bandit 2: “Let’s just rob him a get out of here!”
    Bandit 1: “We can’t leave any witnesses.”
    The old man just barely able to lift the sword off the ground swings it up in the air and stabs the back of the second bandit’s leg severely injuring him but not killing him.
    Bandit 1:”You will pay for that old man!”
    The bandit stopped paying attention to Adamus and pulled out his sword to attack the old man. Adamus hit the bandit on the back of his head with his book knocking him out unconscious.
    Old man: Thank you, young man.
    Adamus: No problem, just trying to help.
     
     
     
     
     
    3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens).
     
    Answer: The Merchant: “‘Ello good sir”
    Adamus: Hello, What is it you sell here?
    The Merchant: A variety of different goods. Do you see anything you like?
    Adamus looks through the goods but there is nothing that particularly catches his eye.
    Adamus: I would like some books, need to catch up on my reading
    The Merchant: I just got a new shipment of books today.
    Adamus: I would like those two, the ones on the history of the Holy Oren Empire.
    The Merchant: You’ve got a fine taste in books. That will be 35 minas
    Adamus: That’s Robbery! 25 minas, I won’t go any lower.
    The merchant: 30 that’s my final offer.
    Adamus: That’s a fair price, deal.
    The Merchant: Thank you, sir. Please tell your friends.
    Adamus hands the merchant 30 minas.
