  1. Mia looked at the lifeless body resting on the bed, her legs felt weak, weaker than they had in a long time. She walked over to him slowly sitting beside him and staring down at him.  Her teeth gritted slightly, her face contorted, for the longest time as if fighting back tears. “I caused you so much of your pain. I killed you didn’t I. If I never came into your life, would it have been happier . . . fuller?” She rested her head on his chest, crying, feeling the last remnants of heat leave his body before reaching down and with a finger lifted his chin as he had done to hers so many times before. His head was slumped in death, and in this position looked much prouder. He almost glowed with the rays of sun entering in through the window. “You cannot see the beauty around you, if you keep looking down.” She repeated the words he always told her. The skin was cold and her hand shook as it left it. She glanced at the letter, shakily written, with eyes crying silent tears. They only increased at the end of the reading, becoming a stream that blocked her vision. She looked up at the ceiling seemingly to stare past it at what would have been heavens above. “I love you. I didn’t say it enough, but I love you.” She glanced out the window at the children running in the yard, breathed in heavily forcing herself to be calm, and raised a hand to dry her tears.

  2. I see it too. They do it sometimes. I think it is done when they need tech and admins on in order to test something out or something another. They are probably making sure 3.5.5 doesn't have  a giant hole in it or something. Or making sure that a plugin they added was added correctly. Or it could be a side effect of the server being down. Anyway, I've seen it several times before and it hasn't lasted indefinitely before. I wouldn't be concerned until it says 100 people and your still not whitelisted. Normally, if you weren't whitelisted you'd go into wandering soul mode though. If you were banned it'd likely clearly say you are banned not you aren't whitelisted.

  3. This is definitely not the thread for that type of discussion up above me. On another note, moogle is a good choice for a trial gm. He is responsible, imaginative, and from my understanding has an understanding of plugins. I've had repeated fun rping with him as a character and an event organizer and through out that he has maintained a generally unbiased view of things and is immensely considerate of both sides of the equation ensuring they both have fun. He has the understanding more than most that as a staff member you do not have to always win and that ability to accept defeat and recover from it and continue approaching various things from different angles and points of view ensuring they are all taken into account. He approaches things logically and considerately. I personally don't support his decision of devoting a chunk of his time to such a time consuming pursuit, but he has that time, he has the ability, and he should be considered. Moogle has in the past had a problem taking direct insults at him coolly and this may or may not be a problem. +1

  4. It appears as if the problem that arose in early December heralded by this post has returned:

    http://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/102359-so-many-wither-skeletons/

Wither skeletons, proper skeletons that cause wither effect and have the proper damage are spawning day and night in groups of 2-5 or so simply everywhere, inside outside 1 block from you etc. They are from my experience spawning North of Abresi in the marshlands and in Wallport and directly under the icewall on the human side. Though I’ve hear mention by someone of the Conclave or Old Malinor. I'm sure this has to be a mistake I believe it arose from some sort of North regioning problem that was being complained about earlier in the day. Though I don't have much information of that. It appears to be the exact same problem that occurred in early December and as then it renders rp in the areas affected almost impossible. They areas affected aren’t Scourge controlled so that shouldn’t be an issue it appears to be some glitch in tune with the one in Early December. Is there anything being done or that can be done about this problem?

  5. Eddy is a decent man. Over the time I've known him, he has seemed to be a solid fellow. I can't be certain whether or not he would make a good gm in the long run but I believe he has earned the right and has the potential and the ability to run a trial period. I would give this a +1.

  7. Mia de Silvarois blinked as her gaze went to the sky and the last rain drop fell from the sky right onto her cheek. She breathed in deeply, inhaling the freshness that only came after a fresh rain, that glorious petrichor. Her gaze went ever higher to that first star in the sky, shining ever bright. She remained on that sky for a few moments sighing ever deeply. Her father had always said that her mother was up their resting with the stars in the night sky, ever watching. . . perhaps he was as well? Her gaze lowered, turning to the side, to the bright eyed and cheery woman traveling next to her, practically skipping. She sighed once more looking at the road ahead. It was a passing thought that brought her hand up to lower her hood freeing the long golden hair into the world once more.

As she walked and the sky began to fill with stars, a gleamer caught the corner of her eyes, a flash of light like the sun bouncing off a flake of snow she had seen so many times. Her arms were locked into the arms of the woman next to her, holding her tight to her side so that she could protect her from the dangers they might find on that road. It was a brief tug before they came loose and Charlotte skipped over to a mound of stone. Hellfire could be flying past her head and the world breaking apart into the abyss but that girl would bend over to pick a flower. . .

She had seen people try to pull the sword from the stone before, all failed. One of her Gendarme, men adept at physical tasks and the like had tried the day before to no avail. She almost let out a sigh as Charlotte raced to attempt to pull the sword free as she had done the day before. Mia had never bothered. Charlotte gave it a mighty pull and the sword did not budge. What was with that sword? It certainly wasn't strength, she had seen Orcs try and fail. She smiled at Charlotte, beginning to walk forward, unamused. She might as well give it a try, Charlotte would probably beg her to. She stepped up to the sword cracking her neck and grasped it.

She let out a large sigh her mind wandering elsewhere and pulled. She braced for the feeling that would come when she strained at the unmoving blade, but the feeling did not come. The sword came free effortlessly without the slightest sound. The moon caught the blade and it seemed to glow as she could almost swear she saw her father in it. She fell backwards her body slamming into the mud knocking the wind from her and she looks up at that blade with wide eyes.

~Who on earth could put that sword from that stone
Many had tried but all failed in their quest
But one man did when he was all alone
When all other knights had tried their very best.

    And Excalibur entered history
In the hand of Arthur with all his knights
In times of tales, fables and mystery
When men were jousting days and feasting nights.

But Arthur in battle to him forsake
And he did die a hero’s death indeed
And Excalibur thrown into the lake
To wait until England was once more in need

Arthur and his knights are resting at peace
Excalibur’s resting too will never cease.~
