In-Character Details Character Name: Grogktar Character Race: Dwarven Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: Grogktar, born from two loving parents, lived in the depths of old Kal'Urguan. His father was a miner, gathering and selling ores to bring food to our family's table. His mother, on the other hand, helped around the house, cleaning and taking care of Grogktar's little brother, Dratktar. Grogktar enjoyed having days with his father, where they would both travel deep into the mines to find a few ores and minerals. He grew a great passion for mining over that course of time. At 15 years old, he picked up his first pickaxe. That was the day his father brought him into the mine so he could show his son how it was done. Quite surprisingly, Grogktar was talented and caught on quickly. At around 47 years of age, war struck out in the north. The threat of the undead was rising. His father departed to the north as he was loyal to his kingdom. Grogktar didn't. He feared war and violence. He remained in his homeland and was known to be a social disgrace to his people. He kept his mother and brother alive, fulfilling the job his father took on in the past. This life became a routine as the years past, no sign of return from his parent. Hope of survival faded slowly, Grogktar worrying more by the day. After 30 years, all hope was lost and his little brother convinced him to simply give up and search for a proper life. He found work as a miner for the king, Algrim. He mined in local mines, selling his massive amount of ores to the king for low prices. This is the life he undertook until the undead became a common known threat. He still denied a fight, hiding cowardly in his mines. The day struck where Kal'Urguan fell into the grasp of the undead. Grogktar had no where to go but the cloud temple, where he hid with the monks. They directed him to Laurelin, the only remaining city. He found a small home which an old and wise elf owned. They soon became friends and the elf allowed the little stubby dwarf to live with him until he could find a proper home and job. The undead finally took Laurelin and the cloud temple. He fled to the verge as all other beings of Aegis, did. As the large Alrasian ship took sail, he looked back upon the verge island and sighed. At there arrival to Asulon, the new land, the dwarf followed to other dwarves to the capital where he found a home and a job. Several events happened, the dragons destroying Karik, several wars with the orcs. This lead to Grogktar leave the dwarven lands. He now travels the lands of Asulon where he searches for a home and for work. What are your characters ambitions?: He does not have much ambitions. He wishes for work and a home. Maybe a family in the future, but not any time soon. Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here: Is there anything else you would like to say about your character? No, not really. Open-Response-Questions Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short. Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? Grogktar turns to the dwarf, staring at him for a moment. Dwarf_Seller continues to shout, desperately attempting to make minas. Grogktar slowly approaches him, searching into his pouch as he advances. Dwarf_Seller seems quite confused, noticing the other dwarf approaching. Grogktar pulls out a hand full of minas, offering the coins to the poor man. Dwarf_Seller immediately takes the coins, smiling at the man, "'ank you kind dwarf." Grogktar returns a faint smile, "I am glad to help, son of Urguan." Grogktar walks away, a smile upon his face, knowing he has done good. You’re in the Cloud Sanctuary late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. The only present monk is fast asleep, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? Grogktar notices the fight, keeping his distances. The Orc suddenly pulls his large axe of his back, pointing it directly at the little dwarf. Grogktar backs up as his axe is unsheathed. He watches from a distance, slightly curious. As the orc slashes his axe at the dwarf, he jumps back, dodging the blow by inches. Grogktar runs away in fear as the orc swings his axe. Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?: Grogktar looks at the coins scattered on the ground, then turns back to the fallen man. Grogktar steps forwards, whispering to the man, "Are you alright, sir? Do you need any help?". The old man nods sligthly, letting out a soft, "yes". Grogktar grabs the mans shoulder, attempting to pull him back up but fails, dropping him accidentally. The old man slightly yells in pain as he falls to the ground. Grogktar runs off, returning a few minutes later with large stick that seems to have been broken off a tree. The old man stares at the ground in pain. Grogktar helps the man up once more, handing him the stick. The old man grabs the stick, keeping himself up. Grogktar smiles as he sees he as succeeded. The old man smiles back offering a soft "Thank you". Grogktar: "Farewell! I was glad to help!". The old man: Stop by my tavern! I will offer you free ale! Grogktar shouts as he walks away into the distance, "I look forward to it!".
