  1. Anyone who knew that the Elf had went to The Vale, would realize that Damen was taking an awfully long time to return, and his belongings were still there, also. Instead of returning, the elf was, in fact, dead.

His body, on the dinner table of a Kharajyr was being devoured. An Elf that had only wanted to find his place in life, was ended before he even lived.

(Proof of the Rp event of death)

  2. Reading the Notice upon the Board, the Elf frowned as he saw no opening for Lumber, but he knew he was going to comment on it, anyways. So, taking a sliver of coal from his satchel, he took a sheet of finely crafted wood pulp and nailed it under.

"I, Damen, Resident of the Irongut District, have noticed that this only calls for mining. Do the gods not require their followers to gather anything but Stone and materials of the ground? I ask this, because I was just allowed access to the Lumbermill by Hiebe, and am wondering if it is even needed right now.

If wood is not needed, I am willing to try my hand at any other jobs that be needed."

Smiles hopefully before walking away, heading up to finish with the Lumbermill.

  3. Turning to the touch on his shoulder, the Elf smiled and chuckled at Bael's offer. Setting his stuff down to take a break, he would wipe the sweat from his brow while slowly shaking his head.

"Bael, I really do appreciate the offer...But...I don't want to have any special treatment that the others do not receive, as well. With the upcoming need of Lumber, I know that I will be getting a taste of all of the nature that I can swallow.

But, I will keep that in mine. Maybe you can fashion me a little Halfling hole in the top of the mountain!"

He said, laughing at the thought.

  4. The previous two letters having been torn down, a fresh parchment had been neatly hammered into the Board.

"My friends, I have been a fool. For it took me nearly a year away from this city to realize the truth. The longer I stayed away, the more I thought of the dwarfs. I haven't been able to keep my mind on my guard job in Crestfall, for my mind always strays to the many memories that I have of my friends, and my enemies, even.

I have shown weakness in giving up, and I am ashamed of it. As soon as I can, I will resign from my position in Crestfall, as it will only pain me to continue. Upon hearing that there will be need for Lumber, here, I know that you all will need a Lumberjack who enjoys spending time above the ground.

So, upon much thought, I have decided to stay in Kal'Karik. For I know that, as long as I have my friends, the Ironguts, beside me...I can pull through this. Thank you all for staying true to me, and showing me that, what I thought I wanted, I already had the whole time.

-Loyal Elf to the Ironguts and Permanent resident to Kal'Karik

    -Damen"

The Elf smiled with a sort of sad happiness that only relief could bring. Turning, he walked down the path, heading to the Tavern. He needed a drink.

  5. Hmm...but...shouldn't Dwarven Females also have to shave. For as Gimli once said.

Gimli: It's true you don't see many dwarf women. And in fact, they are so alike in voice and appearance, that they are often mistaken for dwarf men.

    Aragorn: [whispering] It's the beards.

Gimli: And this in turn has given rise to the belief that there are no dwarf women, and that dwarves just spring out of holes in the ground!

    [Eowyn laughs]

Gimli: Which is, of course, ridiculous.

  6. Smiling as he walked up the path, almost like a new elf, Damen happily hammered another note below his first.

"I am happy to say that, for the thanks of my good friend, Aengoth, and because of his comfort, I have decided that, even though I may be moving to crestfall, soon, I will never cease to visit this great city. For I have friends here, friends who I consider family, even if they be short and hairy as bears.

But, jokes aside. As my previous letter stated. If there is ever any need for my return to Kal'Karik, I will make sure to heed the call and come back to fulfill any duties needed of me.

The Reason that I left, is that I thought that I needed to live in an area above the ground, among the trees, and under the sky. But, the longer I stayed in Crestfall, the more that I realized that Kal'Karik is my home and will always hold a special place for me.

Witnessing the grief and support of the dwarfs, I realized how stupid and selfish I was. I let my own wants, cloud what I really needed, a home surrounded by others that I could treat with respect.

I am still not sure if my move to Crestfall will be permanant. But, I do know that I need this break, as I even almost hurt Hiebe in a fit of Rage. I have yet to make up my mind for this move. But I assure you all, Kal'Karik will never disappear from my mind."

Nods before walking away, humming to himself as he made his own way back to Crestfall.

  7. Coming up the path from the main entrance, the Elf passed by the Irongut Notice board as he was coming back to get his last and least important possession, his Mina. Seeing a New note, he walked over and began to read it. The further he read, the tighter he clenched his fingernails into his palms. Upon finishing, he blinked back tears of anger.

"Oh, I see how it is"

The Elf grumbled through moist eyes.

"Wait until AFTER I leave before you start having need for wood. D-Damn it all!"

He shouted those last three words before continuing up to his room, gathering the last of his possessions.

  8. Kjell, From what I have whitnessed from both lifes of Caseus and Damen, I completely agree with this. In all of my time with the Dwarfs, they have always been fighting with other Races. So many Dwarfs skinning orcs, fighting humans. They need to focus more on being Jolly, yet gruff Individuals that many versions of Lore depict them!

  9. Finally opening up his door, stepping out of his room, a frowning elf of Copper skin and hair as green as the leaves of an Oak tree walks down the steps to the main hall of the Irongut District. Looking down at the parchment in his hand, his expression saddening slightly, he pegged the letter to the Notice board. Running his finger down the Wood Pulp, Damen walked back up to his room, beginning to pack.

"My dear Dwarfs, Even though I owe my very position to the Clan of the Ironguts, I find myself slowly losing grip on my own self. Let's face it, Kal'Karik is no place for a Wood Elf and lover of Nature.

My Orc friend, Naffog, has offered me a Job in Crestfall. Where I will be a Guard and Lumberjack, like I was in Kal'Dwain. I have tried to adapt to such conditions, but I find it impossible to live past the lies, quarrels, and differences of the Dwarfs.

Even though I will be gone, the Dwarfs will always hold a very special spot in my heart, and, if there is any need for my help, be it war or anything at all, I want you all to know that I am still going to be a strong supporter for the Ironguts. If there is ever need for me to help, just send a bird to Crestfall, and I will drop whatever I am doing to come in Aid."

-Former Lumberjack and Guard for Kaldwain

    -Strong supporter of the Ironguts

    -Damen

  10. Almost about to bark out another fit of laughter, the Elfs eyes caught anothers, making his slowly go quiet, for reasons unknown to him. Frowning as the Figure disappeared into the Shadows, he suddenly felt that now would be a good time to rest. Flipping down onto the ground, Damen looked over his shoulder for the odd figure, but couldn't even see it in the shadows. Turning to the archway, he made his way though the Tunnel leading to the Housing district, thinking about what he felt in that moment when that figure looked at him.

    "For some reason"

    He told himself.

"I didn't like how that person looked at me".

And with that, he made his way to the Irongut district, looking to head to his bed for some much needed rest.

  11. Looking away from Bazian and Valen as he hears Gorum and Moruk walking up the main road, his ears perked as he picked up their conversation. He couldn't help but laugh, himself, almost falling off of the archway where he was so precariously perched. He was so right in picking this spot to listen, but he made a note to himself to not laugh while hanging upside down, as the blood was starting to rush to his head.

He Put his hands to his mouth, swaying back and forth slowly as he smiled ear to ear.

"A Chicken!? I could believe a story like that sooner than the Joke currently being bellowed!"

  12. Reading the notes, one by one, as he traversed the many Clan Districts, the Elf couldn't help but chuckle to himself. Taking a sheet of Finely enriched wood pulp, Damen began to write on it with a Sliver of coal he had chipped away from a nearby torch, smiling to himself as he found much humor in these wild claims.

"Mister Kazraden, what if all of the Dwarven race goes against you, will you just burn them too? And about these "gods" that you speak of, I don't know much about them, but, if they agree with what you are doing, then how can the Dwarf race hold such high respect for them?

I have yet to meet you, and don't know who you think you are to deserve such respect, but, I think that if you continue shouting out random accusations and expect everyone to follow them because "you" say that the Gods demand it, you may have a few angry dwarfs to deal with."

Walking to the Temple gate, the Elf hammered the note onto the Door beside the gate with the flat of his Iron Ax, having not left his name on the note and, turning with an odd smile, walked back to his home in the Irongut District, wondering just how long this jest would continue.

  13. Having a wonderful dream about a Forest, the elf was snapped away by the commotion outside. He brought his legs over and, stumbling sleepily over to his door, slowly opened it, listening for a little while. Having heard enough, he smiled curiously and, with a soft click of his door closing after leaving his room, he stepped over to the edge of the second floor path and looked down, first to Skippy, then to Bazian.

"Can you both not just settle this with a mug of Ale or something? Some people need to sleep."

  14. Damen, having almost gotten lost in one of the many caverns of Karik in his explorations, smiled to himself as he walked into the Irongut District. He was about to head up to his room to rest, when a rather official looking notice, hanging from the Board beside the stairs, caught his keen eyes. Stepping over to it, the Elf read every word, eyes furrowing in thought and confusion as he had no idea what most of it was talking about.

Finally finishing, Damen blinked in sudden realization and, smiling, felt a sudden wave of relief fall over him.

"Oh Ironguts, you have once again saved my life"

Chuckling to himself, Damen climbed the stairs, ready for a well deserved rest.
