Lord of the Craft App Out-Of-Character Information Please fill out the following questions as accurately as possible, and ensure the essential details are accurate. Minecraft Account Name: awsumguy75321 How old are you?: 13 Time-Zone: Eastern Standardj Time Have you read, understood and agreed to the rules?:I have. What previous experience have you had in role-playing?:Not much, just a little bit on a different minecraft server. How did you hear about the the Lord of the Craft?:I found it a few months ago, but forgot about it until now. Link any applications that you have previously made for the server:I have a human app from a few months ago, but I can't find it. Also: http://www.lordofthe...umguy75321-app/ http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/84489-elf-awsumguy75321-app-2-added-a-little-bit-of-lore-to-my-backstory-and-fixed-a-definition/ Have you posted this application on the Minecraft Forum? If not, then please do so (link above): I will. Have you read the Elven lore, and shall you ensure you make use of it and follow it in your biography?:I have read it and will use it. Definitions In your own words define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!: Role-playing: Taking a role of a character other than yourself. Meta-gaming: Using information you obtained from elsewhere than the roleplay as a means to 'win' the roleplay. Power-emoting: Forcing an action upon another player that leaves them unable to effectively respond to said action without consent from the other player. In-Character Information: Complete the following biography on your character: Full Name: Isil'thorne Current Age:285 Sub-race (if any): Wood Elf Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): I was a happy child, living with my parents in a large tree just outside of Normandor. When I was thirteen, my father took it upon himself to teach me archery and fishing. First, we fished. Every morning, at dawn, we'd go to the lake and fish until noon. Whatever we caught, we released back into the lake. We did that for two years, and then he taught me archery. First, I was shooting at targets 10 yards away. When I got really good at that, it was moved to 20 yards, then 30 yards, then 40 yards. After I became good at the 40 yard targets, my dad came back to twenty yards and threw small targets in the air for me to hit. This then moved to 30 yards, and then 40. After four years, I could get the bull's eye on the 40 yard moving targets 90 percent of the time. Each year, we would always plant every flower and sapling we could in a large garden for the Nature's Boon celebration. When I was 27, my father died of disease. It is still unknown what disease killed him, though it is suspected to be Ki'katta. At 41, I got a job as a hunter and a forager, getting all sorts of food from the forests. Life was good, doing what I loved for a living. However, at age 137, I stopped and decided to learn to do something new. I found a job as a miner under a dwarf by the name of Lorgrith. I wasn't as good at mining as a dwarf, but wasn't too bad, either. I mined and I mined, until I returned to hunting and foraging, along with monster slaying, at age 193. That is when I started attending The Great Hunt during the Feasts of Spring. Ambitions for the Future: I hope to achieve something better than what I have and to lead a nice, well-purposed life. I want nothing more than that. Personality: Enthusiastic about life, needing not much more than the company of a few neighbors and long walks in the woods to stay happy. Skills: Archery, Fishing, Mining Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin): Any other details you wish to share about your character: I am friendlier to humans and dwarves than most elves, but still prefer to stay with my own kind. Open-Response-Questions Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point. ____ 1. As you walk through the deep forests you hear the sound of whispering and snickering. Upon inspection you realize that a group of High Elves are mocking a small Wood Elf child. How do you react? Answer: Walking up behind the High Elves, I say, "Just what do you think you all are doing, picking on that poor Wood Elf over there?" "We're too good for you Wood Elves. You better leave, or you'll pay," says the tallest of the group, presumably the leader. "Are you so sure about that?" I ask, as I pull out the knife I always carry with me. "Look, we weren't looking for any real trouble," the leader says, looking a little shocked at me pulling out the knife. "You better stop picking on him, okay? Stop it," I say, putting away the knife. Turning to the Wood Elf they were picking on, I say, "Come with me for a little walk. It'll take those guys off your mind." We walk away, immediately starting a conversation, leaving the High Elves behind. 2. Whilst wandering through the Elven forests you come across a frail old man with a walking stick. He collapses in front of you, falling to the ground with a sharp thud. Out of his pocket falls a small pouch of gold coins, which hits the ground and splits open spreading coins across the pathway. The man lies there, defenseless - what do you do? Answer: Picking up the coins, I tell the man, "Here's the money you dropped. You can lean on my shoulder until we can get you a new walking stick." I pull him to his feet and give him the coins. "Thank you very much," he says gratefully. "I don't need any help, though. I can make it on my own." "No, I insist. At least let me walk you out of the woods." "No, it's alright. I know the way back. Thank you for the help, by the way," he said, handing me a few Minas and starting to walk away. "Here, I'll at least pay for a new walking stick," I reply, handing the man back the money and a few extra coins. "Have a safe trip home!" I yell, as he hobbles down the forest path back home. 3. Whilst traversing the Elven Woodlands, you come across a small clearing in which a colored carriage sits. A trader stands outside of it and calls you over, telling you of his wares. He points out that his carriage sells just about everything, and that he's willing for you to haggle for a price. What does your character do? (Please include:- item, haggling for prices and the discussion involved). Answer: "Do you have any arrows?" I ask him, knowing that I'm about to run out. "But of course! I have everything under the sun! Just name your price and whatever you need is yours," he says with a smile. "I'll take fifty arrows," I say. "What are you doing out here in the middle of the woods, anyways? Wouldn't business be better in a more populated area?" "Well," he says, "I thought that too, but it turns out you Wood Elves pass me by all the time to buy something. You're the eighth customer I've had today! Also, I like it here. The feel of nature all around me is nice. That'll be 10 Minas, by the way," he says, referring back to the arrows. I pay for the arrows and continue a conversation with the merchant.

In your own words, define what the act of meta-gaming is: It is using information from OOC in IC. In your own words, define what the act of power-emoting is: Performing an actoin that leaves others unable to do anything. In-Character Details Character Name: Isil'thorne Character Race: Human Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: I was born 32 years ago in Arethor in the Holy Oren Empire. With the same dark hair and blue eyes as my father, he knew I should follow in his footsteps and be taught to be a merchant from a young age. I was taught when is it cheapest to restock my store and how I should change the prices depending on the time of year. I was taught what the general prices of items were. Nothing tragic actually happened in my family. We just kept that little shop running day in, day out clustered in with the rest of the middle class shops. When my father gave me the deed to the store four years ago, I managed it on my own while taking care of my mother and father back at home. Until now. Now I will go to the Sanctuary of the Cloud Temple to find a new profession, or maybe I'll just study there for a while and then return to my old life? Either way, my life will have changed, and I will be content. What are your characters ambitions?: To change his life for better or worse. Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here: Sorry, I couldn't get it to come up. It is a human skin with dark brown hair, bright blue eyes, and light skin. Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: Not really. Open-Response-Questions Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short. Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? Me: "Hello! Looks like you need some money. It turns out I'm a shopkeeper like you! I'd be happy to help someone out. What're you selling?" Dwarf: "I'm selling lots of things, like armor, tools, and food. What would you like?" Me: "I'll take a few pieces of bread, please." *I buy 8 pieces of bread for $28. The dwarf, looking very pleased, hands me my change.* Dwarf: Thank you! You’re in the Cloud Sanctuary late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. The only present monk is fast asleep, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? *I go try to wake up the monk. He is fast asleep, so I go up to the Orc and ask what happened. Me: "What is going on? What do you have against this Dwarf?" Orc: "You have no business in this. Leave before I beat the both of you up!" Me: "We are in the Sanctuary of the Cloud Temple! The monks don't take highly to violence, and neither do I!" *The monk is woken by the commotion. When he gets over here, I tell him all that I know of the dispute. The monk takes the Orc away to talk.* Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?: *I help the old man to his feet. He thanks me, then I proceed to gather up his coins for him.* Old Man: "Thank you! You see, I am traveling to visit my children in Malinor. I was going to buy them gifts on my way there. As you can see, my walking stick broke. I'm afraid I can't get there without it. What am I to do!" Me: "Don't worry, I'll help you. Just tell me where they live and I'll walk you over there. I'll even buy you a new walking stick on the way." *The old man and I walk to a store. I buy him a walking stick and then we head on to his house.* Old man: "Children! How great it is to see you all! I would have brought gifts, but it seems I forgot with what had happened. But that is a story for later. *He turns to me.* Thank you. I would never had made it if it weren't for you! Please, take these Minas for your help!" *The old man gives me 15 Minas. We both say our goodbyes and I depart, not wishing to keep him from his children any longer.*
