Definitions
In your own words, define what the act of roleplaying is:
Roleplaying is like having another life. A life that you make up and control. It's a good way to socialise and interact with others too. Your character is put into situations and places that all help to form a story.
In your own words, define what the act of meta-gaming is:
Using out of character (OOC) information in character (IC). For instance if you heard something in another room that your character couldn't possibly hear and then used that information during roleplay.
In your own words, define what the act of power-emoting is:
Forcing something on other characters that they cannot control. For instance:
*Player1 kills Player2" instead of,
*Player1 attempts to stab Player2*
In-Character Details
Character Name:
Ayate Waters
Character Race:
Human (Northerner)
Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary:
Ayate Waters is a 20 yr old girl who has lived with her family all her life. She has, thick light blonde hair that flows down past her shoulders and bright emerald green eyes. Her skin is pale with hardly any blemishes. She has rather small lips, nose and face but her eyes are big. They almost look like there could be another world in there that only Ayate knows about. She is quite short and thin with next to no muscle, giving her a weak, shy look even though she isn't as timid as she first looks. She usually wears a dark red-ish/brown skirt with a leather belt and a white long sleeved shirt. Ayate is kind to her friends, she acts like a mother to her siblings and young children. She isn't afraid to express her opinion on other people and places to her close friends but acts rather cold to strangers until she knows them better. Of course she still acts polite towards strangers, but only if she's in a good mood. She isn't necasserily an angry person but if anyone does manage to make her annoyed with them, they would probably regret it.
History:
One scortching hot summer evening, Miriam Waters finally held her first child in her arms. She didn't say anything for a little while, just smiled down at her newborn daughter. The baby wasn't crying anymore, she had finally fallen asleep. Miriam was still taking in every detail of her daughters face, she barely noticed her husband speaking. He lightly touched her shoulder, bringing her back to her senses. “What do want to call her?” he said this softly, lovingly.
“What about we name her after your mother? I know she meant alot to you...”
“Yes. We'll call her Ayate.”
Years later, a 12 year old Ayate was sat in the tiny living room of her parent's house, telling her younger brother to calm down. Upstairs her mother was once again having a child. Ayate had pretty much been a parent to her younger brother for the past few months since her own mother was too busy being fussed over by her father. She'd been forced to grow up far too soon, even though she didn't realise it at the time. Hours later, 2 little girls had been brought into the world. It was a nice feeling, the feeling of being a sister. Ayate thought that having the responsibilities made her important at the time but over the years she grew tired of taking care of her siblings day in, day out. Her father understood that. He found the time to equip Ayate with basic skills, reading, writing, how to speak properly and such. She always did prefer her father over her mother.
“I know you don't like doing this, love. I know it's hard.” By this time Ayate was almost 20, and still having to take care of her siblings after her mother had yet another child. No matter how much her father tried to convince her to stay, she'd already got it into her head that she was going to set out on her own. She had always been a stubborn girl.
“I'm not a child anymore. I can do what I want with my life now, father. And mother doesn't care.”
“Yes, she does. Listen, why don't you just find a job here?” Her father began sounding desparate, clingy almost. This only made her more sure of what she wanted. A few weeks later, after turning 20, Ayate left home and set out to find somewhere else to live.
What are your characters ambitions?:
Find a place to live, get a job, possibly find love. Maybe even start a family. She mainly just wants to find a job and do something less boring with her life.

Is there anything else you would like to say about your character:
Her skills include singing and she dances a little too (Due to ridiculous amounts of spare time before she had any siblings!) She has no major skills but hopes to learn some.
Open-Response-Questions
Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.
Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response?
I was just heading into Arethor, a little money on me incase I came across any shops that looked interesting. I peered down one of the streets and saw a little makeshift stall with a rather ugly looking dwarf shouting at passers by "Take at look at me wares! Ye might find summat ye like!" I wandered over, curiosity getting the better of me. It looked like the dwarf was selling random little oddities, a few pieces of broken armor and weapons. "Hello there, young lady. I see yer looking at that sword.." The dwarf grinned. Infact I was looking at it, it seemed to be one of the only things in good condition. But of course, I know nothing about fighting. "I don't want it." I might have been a little too agressive when I said that because the dwarf gave me a nasty look. He did look rather poor though and I'm not that mean a person. "Here," I placed a little money down on the stall "Take it." I hastily walked away, wishing I hadn't given in that easy.
You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do?
It was dark and I wasn't paying alot of attention to my surroundings so I probably wouldn't have even taken any notice of the quarreling dwarf and orc had they not started shouting when I walked by. Sighing and muttering curse words to myself I walked a little ahead to try and avoid getting involved but as I looked back at the pair the orc was now trying to attack the dwarf, who I assumed was drunk since he was staggering about still shouting. "Would you two shut up and stop fighting!" I wasn't trying to anger them more, but I'm afraid I might have done since the orc turned my way, allowing the dwarf to scamper away. When he noticed the dwarf was gone, slowly he began stomping towards me. Well, I'm not sure if he followed me but as soon as he started coming towards me I ran as far and as fast as I could away from there.
Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?:
On the road to Malinor, I noticed an old man. He looked extremely poor and frail, his walking stick completely useless and about to break by the looks of things. That turned out to be true since when I was about to ask him whether or not he needed a little help his stick snapped in two and he fell to the ground. A small bag also tumbled to the ground, presumably he was holding it or it was in his pocket. It split open and and several Minas spilled out. Now, I would usually just pretend I hadn't seen him. I don't like getting involved in things that may end up badly but I felt sorry for him. I bent down and helped the old man up. "Are you alright?" I tried to smile a little. "Oh, yes. Thank you dear." He began to reach down for the Minas but I got there quicker. I handed him back the money and he put them in his pocket. Not wanting to bother him anymore, I continued walking down the road, feeling rather happy anout having helped the man.
