Definitions
In your own words, define what the act of roleplaying is: It's an infinitive way to express one's imagination in a (usually) safe and (again, usually) socially proper way. It's also another way to play a game and seems to be a very great extremity, if you will, for games such as Minecraft.
In your own words, define what the act of meta-gaming is: Meta-gaming is roleplaying something you know out of character, which is (in certain extents) is unrealistic.
In your own words, define what the act of power-emoting is: Power-emoting (I believe) is an act of almost making roleplaying one sided and biased for whomever is doing said act.
In-Character Details
Character Name: Al'rekr Daventhorpe
Character Race: Human
Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary:
Al'rekr is human whom was raised by his mom in the city of Arethor. His father died as a Man-at-Arms in the Order of the White Rose when he was nine years old. Due to his father's loyalty to the Order of the White Rose, Al'rekr was taught the five tenets since he was a boy. One day his father died, however, while out with his company to try and take a human settlement
Al'rekr was never taught much about history nor much about the outside world's happenings (mainly because of coming from a somewhat low-ranking family). He always liked to go to the Greywise Mountains to the north, sometimes for a few days at a time (when he was about 15 or so), instead. He's not so good with a sword, but he is more comfortable a bow. Albeit, he is no pro what-so-ever with it.
Due to always going out on his little nature treks, he is a good navigator, but only in the surrounding areas of Arethor. Being at the age of 20 now, his mom's passing, and him giving all of his belongings to his childhood friend [[this is just done to explain why he has nothing now]] he now wants to travel the world and maybe one day join the Phoenix Rangers. For he feels that is his true calling.
Al'rekr is of a smaller stature. He never got into many brawls growing up, so he wasn't toughened up by that. What toughened him up (but not too much) was his adventures out into the mountains. He has slightly long, curly, dark-blonde hair and a faint beard on his face. He keeps a cowl on his face to just try and act mysterious and intimidating, although he really isn't.
He likes to crack jokes if he's feeling up to it, but he also can be quick to judge situations and people. A lot of times he doesn't think things through and acts somewhat irrationally due to that. He tries to be nice to anyone, though he sometimes just can't follow through with it. But if he considers someone a close friend, he'll do anything.
What are your characters ambitions?: To become better at archery and join the Phoenix Rangers.
Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here: Picture of my skin.
Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: I believe I've summed him up nicely already.
Open-Response-Questions
Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.
Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response?
Having barely any money, I walk up to the seemingly nice dwarf to just chat with him. At first I explain to him that I, shamefully, can not buy anything off of him. But I do ask about some of the stuff he has to strike up some conversation in hopes that maybe he will be the least bit happier from having conversation with someone.
You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do?
I keep back for a little while to see if anything does escalate (also trying to not be seen). If I go on without being detected, and violence does in fact ensue, then I'd probably look for something like a rock to throw at the Orc to get his attention of the dwarf. Due to his size, I feel like I could probably out run him. And also I hope that this would give the dwarf some time to get away as well.
Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?:
I help the old man into a sitting position while telling him I'll get him something else to use as a walking stick. After finding another somewhat suitable stick, I pick up his coins and put them back into his bag and tying it back up. I'd hand the coins back to the old man just before helping him back up on his feet. All the while, I'd be making conversation with him to learn more about him.
