I have played on numerous other roleplaying servers and roleplayed in games like Drakensang and Tera. How did you hear about the the Lord of the Craft?: I was searching for good roleplaying Minecraft servers, and this was one I came across. It looked a lot more in-depth and fun than most others, so I decided to check it out more. Link any applications that you have previously made for the server:http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/75688-denied-0redframe0s-application/#entry621731 Have you posted this application on the Minecraft Forum? If not, then please do so (link above): Yes. On page 122. Have you read the Elven lore, and shall you ensure you make use of it and follow it in your biography?: Yes. Definitions In your own words define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!: Role-playing: Putting yourself in the shoes of another, possibly make-believe character, and acting as though you were that person. Meta-gaming: Taking knowledge that you learned about outside of your roleplay character and applying it to your roleplay character. Your roleplay character should not have learned about this knowledge in character. Power-emoting: Acting in an unfair way that would normally be unrealistic and gives the other(s) no chance to counter-act in a fair way. In-Character Information: Complete the following biography on your character: Full Name: Hyren Frame Current Age: 213 Sub-race (if any): Wood Elf Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): Hyren is the oldest of 3 brothers. Or at least he was. Hyren grew up on a peaceful flour mill about 24 miles south of The Elder Tree of Malinor, which his father and mother worked on. However, his father died to a fatal disease that no magic so far had been able to cure, and it made its victim cough up blood. Only 2 years later, the youngest brother, just 54 years old, died to the very same disease. Then the second brother caught the illness too, at age 127. At age 204, when Hyren saw his mother cough up blood, he knew he could no longer stay, or do anything to comfort his dying mom. So he packed his most important possesions and left his mother to die. The grief still haunts him today. He makes his life in the forest, among the shadows. He travels by day and holds out for night or hunts the monsters that thrive in the dark. His life in the shadows has limited his exposure to the sun, and his skin has gotten more and more pale, with only his brown eyes giving away the fact that he is a wood elf, since the rest of him is covered in dark clothing. However, getting to know him can make him more friendly towards you. Though typically silent, he does his best to help out people along the road who are in danger. Personality: Silent, reserved, often lost in thought, outgoing with friends, kind, careful with words Skills: Good shot with the bow, good with sneaking, good at directions Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin): Has brown-blonde hair, though covers it in a hood and a facemask. Any other details you wish to share about your character: N/A Open-Response-Questions Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point. ____ 1. As you walk through the deep forests you hear the sound of whispering and snickering. Upon inspection you realize that a group of High Elves are mocking a small Wood Elf child. How do you react? Answer: I step out of the bushes and inbetween the High Elves and the Wood Elf child. I make sure they can see the long knife strapped down my boot and the large bow on my back. "Hey," I say, "Go pick on someone with your own ears." The High Elves snicker at the joke part and back off at the threat part. I make suer to stare hard into their eyes, and they eventually break eye contact and walk away, talking among themselves. I turn to the Elf child, who's eyes are now full of amazement. "Are you okay?" I ask. "Yes!" replies the child, "Thank you mister!" When I only nod in acknowledgement, he bounds off into the forest, and I am left in the clearing. 2. Whilst wandering through the Elven forests you come across a frail old man with a walking stick. He collapses in front of you, falling to the ground with a sharp thud. Out of his pocket falls a small pouch of gold coins, which hits the ground and splits open spreading coins across the pathway. The man lies there, defenseless - what do you do? Answer: I quickly rush over to the man and help him to a sitting position. "Thank you!" He says. I get to work on shoveling his coins back into his pouch. The old man then takes the pouch of coins back, and I help him to his feet. "You are a very blessed elf!" he exclaims. We notice that his walkign stick had splintered in the middle. "Can you help me until we can get another walking stick for me?" asks the old man. I nod in approval. "May the gods guide your steps! You have done many good deeds for me! I am in your debt." We walk on and I don't say a word, while the old man rambles away. "I wish I were young and strong again like you! Then I wouldn't be as helpless. Back when I was a little boy..." I do my best to not listen to his stories as we walk along the forest path, wishing I could get to the nearest merchant as soon as possible. 3. Whilst traversing the Elven Woodlands, you come across a small clearing in which a colored carriage sits. A trader stands outside of it and calls you over, telling you of his wares. He points out that his carriage sells just about everything, and that he's willing for you to haggle for a price. What does your character do? (Please include:- item, haggling for prices and the discussion involved). Answer: "How much will 30 feet of light rope be?" I quickly ask. "20 minas exact." he replies. I was almost horrorfied by that price. "20 minas for 30 feet of rope?" I ask again. "Well, it is fine, hand made rope, and there's also transportationg costs, and there's-" I cut him off mid-sentence. "10 minas seems more like a fair deal." I propose. "10 minas?! 15 is as low as I will go," he counters. I still don't like 15 minas. "12 minas, and there's a deal. " The traders considers what I said, then: "Well, it IS only a 3 minas difference... I guess 12 minas is fine. It's a deal." He hands over the rope and I hand over the minas. "Thank you for doing buisness today! Have safe travels!" calls the trader as I walk away. I nod in thanks back and trod back into the thick of the forest.

Open-Response-Questions Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short. Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? I walk over to the shop and look over the items that the shopkeeper has in stock."Need any help?" asks the dwarf, in a very hearty voice."Yes, do you have any arrows still in stock? Metal tipped?" I reply. "Yes indeed!" replied the dwarf,"that will be 16 minas for 32 arrows!" I think for a few seconds, then decide:"4 stacks of 32 would be good." The dwarf laughs a very hearty laugh."Thank ye very much!" then takes the minas I have laid out for him on the desk as he places 4 bundles of arrows onto the desk. He counts it very carefully, then pulls out a bag, which is obviously not very heavy, and shovels the coins into it. As he closes it, I make sure to sneak an extra minas in the little gap of the bag before it is fully tied up. Then he picks up the arrows with his big hands and I take it from him."Wish ye a very merry day!" the dwarf calls out as I walk away. I count the arrows before putting them into my quiver, and notice 2 extra arrows. I smiled at that. What a sneaky dwarf! You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? I dart into the nearby bushes, sneak closer, then listen in on the conversation."I said, give me ma minas!" the orc yells at the terrorfied dwarf."I said, I don't have any for ye!" crys the poor dwarf. The orc then leans over the cowering dwarf, and the dwarf falls over from sheer terror. I notch an arrow, and as the orc raises his fist, I fire just at the orc's gigantic feet. It lands right at the tip of his left foot, and then the orc looks up in confusion. I jump down from the branches of a tree and walk towrds the orc, reaching inside my quiver. "Hey, go pick on someone your own size." I notch 3 arrows between my knuckles, hoping to threaten the orc even though I know I can't fire 3 arrows at once yet. The orc grumbles and stomps away, trying to look as upset as possible. I then turn to the dwarf and haul him to his feet. "Thank ye so much!" yells the dwarf, now red faced. I smile at him, then say "It can be dangerous wandering a road all alone at night. There's a town about half a mile from here, you should stay there for the night." Then we walk away and the dwarf wastes no time in blabbering away about the night's encounter.
