Definitions
In your own words, define what the act of roleplaying is: The act of roleplaying consists of fleshing out the concept of a character, followed by playing out that concept taking the world you're roleplaying in as being real and reaching to its events in a realistic and mature manner, conscious that your actions have reactions which may or may not affect those around you. In short, Roleplaying is experiencing a fantastic world through the means of your character.
In your own words, define what the act of meta-gaming is: Meta-gaming consists of taking out of character knowledge and applying it to your character without having known of the before mentioned information in character.
In your own words, define what the act of power-emoting is: Power emoting consists of emoting in such a manner that gives no choice to the other participants in an overpowered way. For example, player A casts a firebolt that will incinerate player B, killing him on the spot; whereas the proper emote would be player A attempts to cast a firebolt that may incinerate player B, leaving the option of the emote being successful or not to the opposing party.
In-Character Details
Character Name: Jethro Ashemark
Character Race: Human
Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: Jethro Ashemark is a 25 year old human born in Arethor. His figure holds a hint of perpetual kindness, a twitch in his smile held on his expression at most times. His hair is black and his eyes hold a tint of pale grey blue. Of average height and decently muscled build, Jethro prides himself with exercising his body through any sort of physical motives, be it by simply working out or fighting.
Jethro's personality is kind and pleasant at first look, however, digging deeper into his past and mind, one may find a much darker presence looming within this seemingly helpful individual. He takes pride in torturing those who have wronged him and is a remorseless killer, though also efficient.
He has lived his life in poverty and from one day to the next, only when reaching adulthood has he made himself somewhat known in his home town for his courage and almost suicidal want to prevail over anything that may threaten his home.
One day, he received a letter from a childhood friend, Richard Sterling, telling him of a meetup to perhaps start a small Homestead in Howcaster. Reluctant at first, he agreed to at least gather with his friend and give the idea some thought.
What are your characters ambitions?: Wealth and enough power to sustain a care-free life.
Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here:
Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: No.
Open-Response-Questions
Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.
Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response?
Upon entering the great city, my gaze firstly befell a small yet sturdy individual, a vendor selling trinkets and such to anyone interested in his wares. As I found myself lacking a gift for my friend I was visiting, I partook in the testing of the ornaments and asked the shop-keep for something not too expensive, but decent enough to catch the eye. "Hello ser dwarf, I'll only be a moment since I must hurry indeed. Would you have anything worth gifting to a friend I've not seen in quite some time?" The dwarf proved to be helpful indeed and offered me a ring for a bargain price. I continued my trip into the depths of the city, eager to meet my friend.
You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do?
I would firstly inspect the environment in hopes of gathering any advantages against the beast, however, finding nothing worth while, I would gather my strength and attempt to disarm the orc, bluffing an attack and counting on the element of surprise to slam myself into the side of the lumbering individual. If successful, I would continue my assault, battering the orc until the point of submission. If it would submit, then I would simply let it go and seek some sort of reward or payment from the dwarf, if none would be provided I'd shake my head in frustration and walk away.
Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?:
Met with such luck, I would firstly check the surroundings, making sure that none around would see my actions then follow with gathering the gold as silently as I would be able to. The old man would be past his time for such a fortune, I'd think whilst doing so, and I have much bigger plans than this dried fruit does. Making a dash for the nearby tavern to count my newly stolen coins, I'd leave the old man at the mercy of destiny.
