Role-playing: The act of accepting the lore and the current environment and acting on it with an individual character. This character has a backstory and a personality that influences the way they act in certain situations and it is the job of the roleplayer to know those things and act accordingly.
Meta-gaming: Meta-gaming in roleplay is when someone acts like their character knows something the roleplayer knows, but the character should not know. (For example, someone is hiding in the basement of a house and you see their nametag. A meta-gaming roleplayer would go to "examine the basement" knowing they would find them there.)
Power-emoting: Power-emoting is when a roleplayer acts without giving the people around them a chance to react. (For example, someone who goes around sneaking up on people and killing them without any rp or without giving them a chance to rp back.)

Past / History:
Adelina was born to a high-elven mother and a northerner father. Her mother left after her birth leaving her alone with her father. She took after her mother in beauty, delicacy, and intelligence. She took after her father in being strong-willed, and fair skinned. She did not match the other northerners in strength of labor. Her high-elven structure made it difficult to swing an axe or a sword. She was quite healthy and beautiful as she grew. She spent her childhood learning everything she possibly could, and became quite skilled at cooking, brewing, and sewing. She and her father lived a humble lifestyle. He was a lumberjack and she helped him by keeping his records. She attracted many beaus because of her beauty, but no true friends. Those who knew her knew she was kind, intelligent, very polite, and extremely loyal to her father, but she was also quite shy as well and distant. She didn't feel like she belonged with the northerners, where everyone else was so able-bodied and could participate in the daily physical work.
When Adelina was 18 years old, her whole life changed. Her father went with a group of northerners to battle a threatening dragon and was killed, leaving Adelina distraught. She left the northerners and travelled to Oren to find work. There she found work as a barmaid and learned to be more outgoing with the people who came to the tavern. She found that she liked talking to these people and that she could learn a great deal of things from them. Adelina was transformed in many ways. She began work also as a tailor, a job she was quite skilled at. She became much more flirty with the men who visited the tavern. She made some dear friends for the first time. Her father's death still haunted her, but she was happier than she used to be.
Now Adelina is 23. She is young and beautiful, small-boned with fair-skin, violet eyes, and dark reddish-brown, wavy locks. When she doesn't have customers for her tailoring, she sews more clothing for herself. Sewing calms her and takes her mind away from thoughts of her father. So, she can be seen wearing new, different dresses often ((will be frequently changing skins)). She is flirty and friendly and a good listener. She absorbs any information and knowledge she can get, always eager to learn more. She collects books and artwork. She has a beautiful singing voice and plays the fiddle well, so sheoccasionally entertains her guests with music. She cannot do physical labor and has to buy her wood, meat, and tools. She cannot hold her own in a battle, and so she tries to stay where there are many people around to help her. She is an excellent cook, brewer, and tailor.
Ambitions for the Future: Adelina hopes to someday find her mother, if she is still alive, and she often asks people if they have heard of a high-elf with violet eyes, for her own eyes are violet, a trait she assumes came from her mother. She also hopes to find true love, for though she flirts with the customers at the tavern, she has not found a man to love as of yet. Another dream for the future is to own her own inn. Personality: Adelina is friendly, kind, flirty, artistic, and intelligent. She is hopeful for the future. She wants to help Oren in any way that she can, though she lacks physical strength. She is a good listener and loves a good tale. She is usually happy and smiling and it is rare that she is in a bad mood. Skills: Adelina is skilled at singing and playing her fiddle, cooking, brewing, tailoring, and such crafts. She lacks physical skills, such as hunting, battling, farming, lumberjacking, smithing, mining, etc. She is also a talented healer.
Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin): Adelina looks young and beautiful. She is small-boned and delicate. Her skin is very soft and fair. She has big violet eyes that must have come from her mother. She has full lips and high cheekbones and she blushes very easily. Her hair is long, wavy, and silky. It falls in locks of a dark reddish-brown color. She often wears beautiful dresses that she sews from silk provided to her from a dear friend, Verala Estel, the owner of the Estel Woolen Mill in the Wilds. Verala is second-in-command of the rangers of the wild.

Additional Information: I believe Adelina will add some interesting plot points to the roleplay what with her attracting men and with her inability to fight like the great majority of humans can. I think she is a deep character. She has ambitions and fears, strengths and flaws, and her past has not been without its hardships. She will provide an interesting addition to the environment. ____ 1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do?
Answer: On spotting the dark figure, Adelina's face darkens before she catches herself and smiles cheerfully at her customers again. She apologetically excuses herself, offering a flattering comment to one of the men sitting at the table, brushes off her skirt and runs to get help from the guards. If the figure is too fast, she throws all caution to the wind and shouts to the guards to get their attention. She is eager to help Oren in any way she can, and since she isn't able to fight the suspicious man, she gets help. She would also attempt to distract the dark figure, if possible, with a stream of meaningless chitter-chatter which he would have to listen to if he didn't wish to appear suspicious.
2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react?
Answer: It is very unlikely that Adelina should ever be wandering alone far from the city or armed with an iron longsword. But if she were for some reason caught in this situation, she would call for help if she were close enough to other people. If there were no other people around, she would hold the iron longsword in as steady a position as she could muster and try to intimidate the bandits by looking like she could take them on. That would be her only hope. If they did decide to engage her in battle, she would of course lose and be killed or sold into slavery.
3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens).
Answer: Adelina aproaches the stall, eager to learn about his wears. She chooses a skein of fine silk with plans to make a dress and some logs for the fire in the tavern. He asks for a preposterous price and Adelina acts even more shocked than she should be at such a price. She avoids talk of the purchase for a short while and engages the gentleman in a conversation about his travels and the goings-on in Oren. She leans against the corner of his stall and flirts with him in an attempt to ease him into lowering the price. After making him laugh for several minutes, she says, "Well, I suppose I should be getting back to work. You've distracted me!" She flashes a smile at him and requests a low price. He is flattered, but he isn't stupid and offers a compromise that is still a deal for Adelina. She respects his intelligence and agrees to the price, offering him a free round of ale in the tavern when he finished selling his goods. She returns to the tavern with her newly bought items and stores them behind the counter before she ties on her apron and resumes work.
