Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: Open-Response-Questions Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short. Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response?: I was walking through the street, on my way to the town centre, going to buy a few loaves of bread. I heard the shouts of a dwarven merchant. I was interested in what he was willing to sell. Upon gazing at his various wares, my eye caught a glimpse of a shortsword, there was something interesting about this item, it had a small cut gem in the handle. I asked him how much it cost, he replied with 50 Horens. My father given me these Horens to get food, though this item was very tempting, and the Dwarf very persuading. I decided to buy it and tell my father that it was taken by a pick-pocket, it looked nice on me. When I got back and told my father the lie, I tried the best I could to hide my new bought item. You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? I stumbled upon a dwarf and an Orc are arguing, knowing their past and present I couldn’t blame the Orc for threatening the dwarf, though I despise Orks, I decided to help the dwarf, trying to calm the Orc down. After a while of trying to prevent the Orc from spilling the guts of the dwarf, the Orc withdrew his axe, tired of arguing. The Orc went for the dwarves’ shoulder. The dwarf got out of the way, with enough time to draw his axe. With my false confidence I drew my blade thinking I could take an 8 foot tall Orc down. The dwarf on my side evened the odds a bit. The dwarf hacked at the Orc several time, the Orc not breaking a sweat, and the dwarf getting weary, the dwarf swung his axe around leaving himself open, the Orc took this opportunity, he hit the dwarf on his chest plate, luckily the axe didn' I decided it was time for me to strike the orc. I ran towards the orc, being oblivious to the noise of my steps, upon reaching 3 foot of him, he side stepped. I fell to the ground, staggered. The Orc was now above me, rising his axe to bring it down unto my chest. The Orc gasped, I saw the head of an axe deep in his shoulder. The Orc fell to the ground, a loud thud coming from it. The dwarf, retrieving his axe from the orc’s shoulder. He thanked me for my help and I thanked him for his, we went on our separate ways. Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?: I peered at the bag of minas, the thought of taking them crossing my mind, I decided to help him up and get him to his house, though it was far away, I couldn’t leave him on the road to get mugged by a highwayman, as I got him to his house, he gave me a small pouch of minas, holding at least 50 coins. As they say, good things come to those who wait. Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: Greg was born on the morning of Malins welcome in the year 41, he was born in the farms of Oren, a few miles from Arethor. Greg was born into a family of travellers and merchants. Greg was a single child. His mother was called Catherine, and his father Alan. Most of his travelling was around Arethor, seeing that it was a very prosperous city, Alan seemed attached to it. Though they had no real place to stay except for a camp outside the city, it was uncomfortable, and cold when the harsh winters came around, but, there was an upside to staying close to Arethors walls, seeing that knights and guards where always around, there was small chance of them being attacked by bandits. When Greg turned 14 his father brought him to Arethor, to help sell his father’s wares. “Father?” Said Greg. “Yes Greg?” replied Alan. “How do I get people to buy this stuff?” Said Greg. “Just shout as loud as ye can boy, try t’e make cheap deals, that’ll get their attention.” Greg did exactly that. “One mina fish, very very cheap, very very good, one mina fish!”. “Not that cheap boy! Ye sound like idiot…” Said Alan. After a while they sold most of their wares. Greg’s father was holding the minas in a pouch, counting how much they’d made. “Hmm… Ye did good boy, I think I’ll bring you ‘ere more often.” Alan was still counting his minas. A man caught site of it, and saw it as an opportunity. The man bumped into Alan, taking the minas, Alan fell to the floor, as he attempted to get up,Greg ran towards the thief, bumping into many other people in a crowd. Greg caught up with this man in an alleyway. Greg, oblivious to weather of not this man had a weapon on him, ran at the thief, attempting to tackle the thief to the ground, the thief heard Greg’s loud and clumsy footsteps, turned around then stepped to the side, letting Greg stagger and fall to the floor. The thief looked a young adult, though his clothes where filthy and tattered. The thief withdrew a dagger, dark iron and very rusty. Greg got up and attempted to run, though the thief was already upon him. The thief grabbed Greg by his neck, and put the dagger to his neck, about to slit Greg’s throat. All of a sudden a loud cracking sound came from the thief’s head; parts of brick fell to the floor, along with the unconscious thief. A boy who looked the same age a Greg loomed over him. “You alright down there?” The boy said, offering his hand to help Greg up. “Yeah, thanks.” Said Greg, as he grabbed the boy’s hand getting pulled up. “Ma name’s Charles, but ma friends call me Charley”. “Thanks.” Greg said, feeling his throat, gulping a little from the dagger being there. “The fawk‘re doin’ in an alleyway down ‘ere?” Said Charley. “That man stole my father’s minas” Said Gregg pointing at the mina filled pouch in the thief’s hand. “Well… you’d be’er get it back to ‘im then, you mind if I pinch some minas from that? Just enough for a loaf of bread.” Charley replied. “Sure, seein’ you saved my neck.” Gregg says as he takes the pouch from the thief’s hand and flicks a mina to Charley. “What’s your name?” Charley says as he catches the mina. “Gregg.” He replies. “Well Gregg, I ‘ope to see you ‘round ‘ere again.” Charley replied. “Yeah, you too” Gregg says as he walks away towards his father.
