  1. You do have minecraft bought though, right?

  2. Ignore that last comment. Apparently, I misread something and have been accepted. Yay!

  3. Yes, instant messaging is nice. However, according to Boombox, I must buy the game to rp here. I don't think I will be doing that. I just wanted some rp. :(

  4. It's a very well written application and I can see that you've put a good amount of detail into research about our lore. I'm extremely excited to see you join among our ranks.

However, I still implore you to think about getting a skype. You don't need to voice chat, just instant messaging. Makes things a lot easier.

  5. Editted to adjust color separation and add previous rp experience. In your own words, define what the act of power-emoting is: Power Emoting is essentially God-moding, or forcing a player character’s actions onto another player character thus taking away the ability of the affected character to create an original response. In-Character Details Character Name: Tuloth Kaervek Character Race: High Elf Character biography – Tuloth is a young elf, at least by Elven standards, of merely 108 years old. His father is a member of the city guard and his mother hosts neighborhood events. He grew up in a very structured and controlled environment that has allowed him to fall perfectly into the rigorous structures of High Elven Society. Tuloth is pompous amongst his peers, humble amongst elders, and quietly inquisitive of everything. One thing Tuloth abhors is the impure Elves. He believes as most High Elves that only those of their race matter and anything less, especially mix-breeds should be quarantined. Tuloth has been recently removed from his family to train with several other young men who wish to become members of the Haelun’or Guard. They have used strenuous scheduling and extensive workouts to maintain peak condition of body and mind as well as weapons technique and knowledge. Their nights are spent with unending quizzes of law and doctrine. Their days are filled with swordsmanship, proper marching techniques, and practicing the art of standing still. Tuloth is no doubt the best at most aspects of what a city guard should be, yet he still harbors a deep respect for his comrades. He is oft seen coaching and giving patient instruction to his lessers. Tuloth is strong, capable, intelligent, and most of all ambitious. Only time will tell how is story will unfold. What are your characters ambitions? Tuloth wants nothing more than to serve the society that he deems as perfect. He strives to do his best in all things and given the chance, Tuloth would oversee the security of his entire homeland. While his professional goals rise to endless heights, Tuloth would not pass at the chance to stand on one of the high walls of Haelun’or in silent service to the world he loves. Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here: I don’t play Minecraft. Does that mean I can’t play? Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: Tuloth knew many upstanding guards and soldiers during his childhood. He has a firm grasp of the politics and intrigue. He is also aware that the flow of these trends strengthens as it gets higher up the food chain. Tuloth has spent countless hours at public forums and in the libraries of political scholars to help prepare him for the ‘game’ that the High Elves so eloquently play. Open-Response-Questions Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short. Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? Tuloth sets his jaw as he passes through the massive gates. He maintains a blank slate, an expressionless mask, to accompany his proud stride and hoisted brow. His mind was steaming with the assignment that sent him away from his beloved city. True, he would fulfill his duty, but that doesn’t mean that he had to enjoy it. The outside world smelled of poor hygiene and garbage. Regardless, a job is a job and if Tuloth intended to be a player, he would have to take his lumps along the way. As the High Elf moved along the throngs of people, he took special care to avoid touching as many of the others as possible. His violet eyes fell upon the source of an obnoxious sound. A dwarven shop-keeper was growling about the majesty of his wares. Tuloth glanced over the selection and almost broke character. The poor excuses for goods would be seen as blasphemy to the Haelun’or armory. Without a second thought, Tuloth moved along into the city. He had a job to do and the sooner he was done, the sooner he could return home. You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? The moon was bright in the crisp night sky. Tuloth had been enjoying the fresh air on his return trip back to his beloved home. A growl shattered the peaceful murmur of crickets. The High Elf sidestepped from the road into a tree’s shadow to assess the situation. Tuloth’s keen elven eyesight peered down the road towards the disturbance. An orc looked as if he was going to pummel an unfortunate dwarf. Naturally reluctant to help either and completely disgusted by both, Tuloth relaxed some and elected to watch the scuffle. He slid his bow from his shoulder and allowed the perfectly constructed and shaped wood to fall to the fingers in his left hand. His right hand reached behind its own shoulder and silently lifted an arrow from his quiver. A seemless motion of both arms brought the arrow’s notch to fit on the tight string. Tuloth allowed a smirk to curl the left corner of his lips. Tuloth was silently contemplating the orc killing the dwarf and then in a blood rage turning to charge the High Elf. That way, he could justify taking the life of such an ugly and destructive creature. Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do? Tuloth was nearly to Malinor when he noticed an old man leaning heavily upon a walking stick. The stick had splinters protruding from an awkward looking knot in the wood. As Tuloth noticed the staffs imperfection, it snapped and sent the old man tumbling to the ground and causing his purse to spill its contents. If Tuloth were a younger elf, he might actually steal the coins. However, his deep-seeded morals have firmly planted themselves and the high elf was not about rob this helpless man. The high elf stopped and knelt next to the man. The smell was almost nauseating but Tuloth maintained his calm and spoke in the most even tones. “Allow me to assist you, sir.” He scooped all of the man’s money back towards the purse and was extremely careful to not touch the old man. Once the money was gathered back up, Tuloth nodded and rose to his feet. He marched on and made a loud blast of air explode from his nostrils in a vain attempt to clear the stench of the dirty old man. After several carefully marked steps, the high elf muttered under his breath, “humans.”
