Open-Response-Questions
Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.
Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? As I was wandering into the Mighty Human City of Arethor, I was looking for a good place to settle down for the night. Instead, I happen upon a poor, young dwarf looking to sell his wares to passer-byers. I enter his shop, and have a look around, curious as to what he is selling. I didn't really see much that would be useful to me, but being a lone dwarf around humans is a hard life. I kindly buy some things of more value, a necklace here, a sword there. Though I won't use these things, I know I have helped him along with his living, and hope he passes on the kindness to others in the future.
You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do?While walking along the Oren Road in the late of night, I come across a dire looking situation. I large Orc is threatening a nearby dwarf! I wonder to myself what I should do, violence isn't usually how I handle things, but alas, I cannot let this poor dwarf be beaten. Hopeful that the Orc will calm down, I intervene in the situation, though I don't know what happened, I don't want anyone to get hurt. The Orc looks angrily at me, as though I interrupted something rather important, but how important can violence be? I slowly nudge the dwarf backwards, out of the Orcs reach, until I am firmly in between the two, and I tell the Orc to continue about his way. He towers over me, and I begin to worry that I may have to result to violence. I tell the Orc that I will give him money to leave the dwarf alone. Shocked, the Orc takes the precious gems I have handed him, and makes his way grumbling down the path, as the dwarf and I head in opposite directions to our own destinations.
Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?:Heading down the road into Malinor I see an old man with a walking stick, a walking stick that looks very weak. As I go to ask the man a question, his stick breaks and he tumbles to the ground. Worried he is hurt I immediatly help him up to settle on a nearby stone. When he is settled and safe, I run back to the ground where he fell and grab his torn sack and scattered Minas. I take one of my bags and rearrange some things so it is now empty, I place the old mans Minas into my bag and hand it to him. I procede to find a sturdy stick, fit to help the old man into the city, and bring it back to him quickly. Once he is adjusted with his new walking stick and bag, being sure that I retrieved all of his coins, we head off on the road to Malinor. I don't leave his side until he is safely at his destination in the city, and head off to my own.
