[Age]: 15
[Language and English grammar skills]: I am from the United States of America and I speak
English and write in English very well.
[Have you had any previous experience with role play]: Yes, I was a player of World of
Warcraft and Runescape, but I stopped playing both because they were more about
egos than role playing.
[Have you read the rules and terms of use?]: yes I have.
[How did you hear of Lord Of The craft?] Two of my close friends are active players
[Link any previous applications you have made to The Lord of the craft]: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/82547-elf-jaypee10-app-elduin-fairgris/
[Have you posted this application on the minecraft forum?] yes
[in your own words to define what role-playing is]: To me role-playing is putting yourself in
another person's situation and not doing what you would do, but what they would
do. Like let's say you're a high elf you might be a tad snobby, or if you might
be a Orc grunt with no manners and a warrior spirit. Role-playing is not who
you are in real life but who your character is in game.
[In your own words define the act Meta gaming]: To use information that you have gathered through
means that are not in the role-play and then you use them in role play
[In your own words to define the act of power emoting]: Making his or her character do things
that that they were not able to do realistically like if there emote is simply
defying logic for instance if a man in diamond armor gets his neck sliced open by a 102 year old man hobbit.
[Character Name]: El'duin fairgris
[Character skin]: http://i.imgur.com/5tPZ59Z.png
[Age]: 923
[Character Race]: Dark Elf
[Character bio]: El'duin was orphaned at a young age due to his father mysterious death.
Life at the orphanage was hard and brutal. It had gotten so bad that he had
decided to leave the orphanage and run away to live on the streets of Al'khazar.
Since this city is not native to Malinor life on the streets were rough for a
young elf. All these humans around him gave him a human like personality but at
the same time this gave him a strong pride for him and his people. Before he
was even a half through his teen’s aegis fell. Asulon was supposed to be his
salvation but really it only meant more trouble, he sought glory and wealth
none of which would greet him. He thought he could continue life among humans
but the racism was too much he was forced out of Arethor and into the elven
city of Normandor. Life in Normandor was beautiful deepening his sense of pride
for his elven heritage. He was too little to remember his family heritage, so
his pride came from the elves as a whole.
He spent his young adult years doing any work possible from lumbering to
mercenary work that is not proud of. But this work is not who he was inside
so when heard of Anthos he knew this is where he should continue his journey.
This rough child childhood help make El'duin into the rough and skilled fighter he is today.
El'duin is a very prideful dark elf, he is the first to defend his race, and the first to die for it.
He is stubborn and strong-willed with a touch of arrogance. El'duin is not the smartest of
Elf's but he is makes up for it in dexterity and strength. He is enjoys the
simple things in life like wine and fighting. He has a fear of death that
sometimes might actually make him fearful in an uneven battle. But these
complex feelings are rare occurring and likely will never come out, these
feeling come from a near death experience he had a while ago. His weapon of
choice is a short sword, he likes it because he is able to swing it fast and
true, he has a soft spot in his heart for bows but he need practice. He spends
his money on wine and battle gear he usually travels town to town searching for
mercenary work or pretty much any labor for money. He is short fused and gets
very angry but he has enough self-control to take control his anger, but at
times he loses his cool. He has a rough exterior but in his heart he a good
person who would help a person in need but that does not mean he does not do
anything bad he has his moments.
[Characters ambitions?] Be leader of some kind of fighting group that would allow him to
fight for his race and country.
[Anything else about him]: Nope that's a pretty good summary
[******* i am really sorry if there is not enough dialogue i tried really hard*********]
[Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which
sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with
a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be
threatening him. You are armed with leather armor and an iron long sword, how
do you react?]
El’duin would hide to see what the bandits were doing and why they were haggling an old
man. Depending on the dialog El’duin would either help the old man or continue
on his marry way. “Give me your money old man.” Were said to the old man then El’duin would appear slowly.
Then say “how about you turn around and leave a poor old man alone before you get your face smashed in.” and fight them if he must even if he would lose. But if things that were said that were not in favor of the old man like if the bandits said “you haven’t paid your gambling debt old man time to pay up!” El’duin would mutter “stupid old man you should
never started gambling” and walk on.
[in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making
is way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are
guards within shouting distance - what do you do?]
El’duin would follow him were ever he went to
see what he is going to do, but will would not call the guards. And let’s say
he went to go kill someone at the last second El’duin would turn away and walk hastily
away from every one to avoid suspicion. He would be in disbelief of what he
just saw. Then a feeling of utmost regret, he could have stopped him and saved
a mans life this would weigh heavy on his soul for a long time. The reason my
character would not tell the guard right away is because he would fear for the
repercussions. What if the guy had friends and they were watching and they saw
him tell, and then El’duin was next. But that does not mean he would not be sorrowful
the actions of that day would make him feel bad for a long time. The reasoning
behind it would be he has a lot of street smarts he got from growing up on the
streets.
You are standing within the mighty human
capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colorful stall. You
approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general
goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set
prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do?
(Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens
El’duin would fight for the least amount
possible, he is really cheap (he has a high value of money because he grew up
in alleys) He would walk up with a frown and look at everything dimly not
giving any emotion. Then if he found something he liked he would go for the
least amount possible completely low balling it. Say things like “hmm… its not
bad its craftsmanship is poor but hmm…. I think I can use it” then depending
on the item I would give a horrible price that was completely low. Then when
he refutes it then say “WHAT! How much did you say! that is crazy for this piece
of junk! NO NO take it or leave my offer bud.” Then if he does
not take it that’s when I would say “Hmmm…….. well… I might go a bit higher”
then go higher and if he takes my offer good if he does not that is my final
offer.
