  1. *The bird reaches Vale as he is working on the headquaters for the now growing guild. He quickly writes a response spilling water and gather dust on the paper from the construction happening around him. "We would gladly accept you in our fine organization. If you are a able builder we will greatly need you! If not we will allow you to become a miner or lumberjack. If you can bring and goods with you to Kalos that would be most pleasing to the guild. Thank you, Vale Genul"
  2. *A bird is sent to every well known city informing the citizens of the rise of a new guild. The letter reads: The Commerce Guild The Nation of Gold Location: Human Isle of Kalos Hello to whomever this may reach. I am the current member entrusted with keeping the Commerce Guild from falling before it has stood. We are currently building a base in the isles and would appreciate help building and with supplies. The Commerce Guild is unique because of a new system that we have developed. Instead of being lead by a single leader who thinks only about himself we think about the owners of the shops. We will help you when you are down and you shall help us when we stumble. We do not believe in racial discrimination and frown upon it in any way. We accept all races here elves, dwarfs, and even orcs if they behave. We do not care about war as we are political neutral and we assure you that the guild will gain power so that we can guard you and your livelihood. We are not here for power and money. Like a chain we will form link by link, shop by shop. Please send me a bird if you are interested in joining
  3. Out-Of-Character Information Please fill out the following questions as accurately as possible, and ensure the essential details are accurate. Minecraft Account Name: OverlordCommand How old are you?: 14 Time-Zone: EST (Eastern Standard Time) Have you read, understood and agreed to the rules?: Yes What previous experience have you had in roleplaying?: I have role-played on the website of Nationstates for around one year. I have learned so much and grown greatly there. How did you hear about the the Lord of the Craft?: I found it at random sometime ago. I only recently got active in it though I guess the size made me feel like I would have no chance. Link any applications that you have previously made for the server: N/A Have you posted this application on the MinecraftForum? If not, then please do so (link above): Yes Have you read the Human lore, and shall you ensure you make use of it and follow it in your biography?:Yes Definitions In your own words define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!: Roleplaying: Acting in a role made or given to you. It is normally done with others which allows you to make yourself become one with the story. Become as if you are actually in it. Your mindset must shift from being yourself to acting as your new "person"/ role. Meta-gaming: Telling others or acting on information that he/ she should not know. It is against the laws of the land and disrupts the normal role-play of the server. For example say a enemy is hiding in your mind. You see the nametag when you are walking above. You may see the name but in a real life situation you would not see someones name like that now would you? So hence you must continue until you see the person physically. Power-emoting: (The most annoying to me) This is when a player does something or hurts soneone or seomthing with giving the other player even a chance to react. Such as juts walking up to someone and saying *stabs in heart body falls down dead*. In that case you gave no chance for the person to even have a chance of survival or role-playing the situation out. Maybe that person would have fought you and won? Maybe he would have ran away because he is secretly scared of you. Role-playing things out makes many new opinions for each new player. This too is against the laws of the land and is not allowed. In-Character Information: Complete the following biography on your character: Full Name: Vale Genul Current Age: 20 Sub-race (if any): Northerner Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): When Vale was a child he grew up in a large slum that people dare call a village A peasant living in brutal poverty. It was not uncommon to see men's bodies being found around every turn. Dying brutal unforgettable deaths. This environment was not suitable for some grown men let alone a child at the age of seven. The boy had only a father. His mother died in labor with his sister Laraelia 2 years before these troubling time. That is where Vale's troubles began. After the death of his mother his father became obsessed with the fate of every old stupid man. he found love in his ale and mead. He drank sunset till sunrise. When Vale once asked why father always smelt like stable boys his father went into a violent tirade. Smashing what little he had not sold to his addiction. In his violent rampage he knocked vale off his feet by punching the child. A ring his father was wearing scraped across his young skin. Blood became visible to Vale. After hiding from his father because of the wound Vale anger wore off and drifted into depression. As his father's radical anger issues became more and more outrageous his father drank them out of there house a year after his mother's death. The life of a poor child was nothing new to Vale as looting corpses and scavenging for food became a daily event even while they owned their house. Their father had not given them anything. Vale had taken Laraelia under his protection. His father would not even see the child. He blamed her for the death of his wife. Vale took the child as the last part of his mother. A part that must be protected and kept from the clutches of their father. After the house was gone their father left the children to survive or die. Some rumors of the people say he left with a girl, some say he was murdered at night, others say he became sober and is still searching for his children. Vale did not care. He didn't care if he came back anymore. While living in the slums until age 8 he decided that if he was to try to save his sister from being effected from this mess the time to go was now. She was 2 as now and was approaching her third name-day. If he was to keep her pure of this place the time to go was now. Vale left the slums in search of a better home. A home in which he could live peacefully. His elf connections led him to small elven village. Nature lived around him and he learned from the elves. He learned more about bows then he had ever knew existed. Although he did not focus on weaponry he focused on something that interested him throughout his life. He focused on numbers. They fascinated him and through time he learned trade from the elves. When his sister turned 15 he found her a suitor. A young elf that Vale had knew from the people. He told them after the wedding that he would be leaving. In search of a place to open a shop and start to earn money. Waving good bye to his friends and sister he rode off towards a new life. He found a slightly large city and decided to use his abilities to his advantage. He set up shop and began to trade with the people of both the land and sea. He held no racism in him so this did not prevent him from trading with other races. He hid his elve ears behind his slightly ling hair. He grew a beard to attract some dwarves too. Sadly, things did not go as he hoped. His business did not succeed. He was in debt and out of options. So one night he walked to the silent docks. All were asleep at this hour of the night. He sat behind a box and stared at the knife he had bought with the last of his coins. A knife to end his life. He had done the one thing he swore never to do. He sword never to be in poverty again. Where could he go from here too! If he went to his sister crying for help he would be viewed as weak. He would not show weakness to the elves nor his sister after they had shown only bravery toward him. When he was about to slide the smooth blade down his skin a young man spoke up. The sudden noise made Vale jump and hide the knife. A young man stood over his shoulder. The boys looks were not appealing in any way. He looked at him as Vale looked him back. The man then slid off the box to crouch. He said to Vale "So, what happened" Vale looked strangely back at the man "Excuse me?" "Aye you heard me. I see that knife you were gonna slit weren't you?" Said the man in reply "Now listen what I was going to do is..." Vale was cut off "Listen, if your gonna slit that is none of my business. If you wanna jump off this platform be my guest. Hell, you can even go bash your own head in I don't care I was just asking if you needed some help." The man said. Vale was dumbfounded and silent. He took the mans offering hand and was pulled to his feet. The man then said "Aye take this coin. It will buy you something to get you started." As he flipped him what looked like a little golden coin. Vale thought of this as a second chance . Almost a revival from god. He began from start. He bought shops, a house, and started to become established. He became a notable salesman in the city and started to make plans of expansion. Plans of starting a empire. Not with armies and kingdoms and houses but with commerce. A nation of gold as he joked with his friends. Ambitions for the Future: Vale wishes to get married, begin his "nation of gold", and maybe become somewhat lightly involved in politics Personality: A savvy and crude trader Vale is honest in deals. His roots make him compassionate to the poor and good with being a opportunist and being very resourceful Skills: Wealthy, Archery, and Trading Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin):The appearance of Vale is altered because of his genetics too. He has elf ears and very tall but hides his ears from public as afraid of customer loss. His hair color is straight brown with no tints. Screenshot>>>>>>>>http://imgur.com/a/9IRkY<<<<<<<<<<< Screenshot Any other details you wish to share about your character: His mother was elf and his father was a human. This allows him to gain access to both abilities of the races but to also inherit the curses of each of the races as well. Open-Response-Questions Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point. ____ 1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do? Answer: Vale sees the man. He assumes that the man is trying to do something that may bring harm. The only problem is Vale is split. If he lets this go other people could get hurt. People that did not need get hurt and for what!?!? On the other hand Vale is not a person who likes the ideal of a birth right. He had to work for where and what he has gotten. These people have "birth rights" so they get to rule over us. Some are just loons! In a quick decision knwoing the man was going to do something at the palace he walked away as if nothing has heppend. There is no use in wasting his life and many others. Maybe that man will teach those slugs in the palace how to move. Maybe they can work on rebuilding "their" city. 2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react? Answer: After a long day of supervising the lumber mill and mine outside the city Vale takes a stroll. Stumbling upon the situation he thanks god the borrowed that iron longsword from one of his workers. He Quickly bounces behind a tree to listen to what is happening. He hears only yells. Vale does reconigze that he only has a sword. He is not accurate with a sword. He wishes he had he bow right now. If that was the case Vale would have walked into the situation. So instead he listened. He could not hear much. He did not inherit his mother's hearing but he did inheirt her sight and speed. So instead of taking a chance in which numbers did not favor him Vale simply used his stealth and spped to quickyl and quietly move further and further away. When he finally reached his mill and mine he took the long way back to town with guards on both sides. 3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens). Answer: When you wait in the line humble you finally reach the man. "Hello, how are your bows today?" Vale says. "Well I only have one but it is expensive because of it's rarity." Said the man in almost a whisper. "Well I am at no need for cash so please tell me of this bow and the cost." Said Vale almost eager to hear of a new bow. He had not had a good bow since when he lived with the elves for those many years. "It is made by the elves and is as old as me!." This was surprising to vale as the man looked very old. Then again it could just be a very weird looking dwarf. "I want to know your price though sir!" Said Vale like he was announcing it to the world. "500 Minas!" Vale almost chocked on air "3" Vale countered in a attempt to gain his breath back. "4 and it's yours" said the merchant It was a gamble for something that might not be real but Vale took the chance with it only being 400 "Deal!" Vale said proud to have earned the bow. Vale threw the man his money in a small coin purse and walked away staring at all the carvings in the bow.
