Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!: Role-playing: Role-Playing is to act as if you are a completely different person, making a new life for yourself in a game and trying to survive in a way that your character would. The aspect of Role-Play is to become the player you created for a game and to act as if you were never anything but them. You start a life for your player however you want them to become. Meta-gaming: Meta-Gaming is to use outside information to aid you player that you are character with; information that your character could not know without the players knowledge. Power-emoting: Power-Emoting is to do an action, but to make that action unstoppable by another player. In an RP fight a player would do this to end the fight instantly. For example: Larten walked up to Murlough and stabbed him in the gut, finishing Murloughs life instantly. This is considered Power-Emoting. How a RP fight should go is : Larten walked up to Murough and attempted to stab Murlough's gut, but murlough explected the move and dodged the blow. In-Character Information: Complete the following biography on your character: Full Name: Yurgon Horst Current Age: 26 Sub-race (if any): Northerner Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): Yurgon grew up in the land of Ager with his mother, father and brother Matao. Yurgon's father was a woodcutter that sold wood to people that were building new houses. His father went out into the forest far from the city to cut his wood because he did not want to destroy the landscape around them. Every morning he would go out into the forest with his wagon, cut wood, then come back with the wagon full of lumber. He sold 15 trees worth of wood to a new family in the city, giving Yurgon's family a very large amount of coins. Yurgon's father was so happy about the sale, he didn't go out to the forest for to chop wood for 4 days, his father didn't need to work since the family that bought the wood over-paid for it, not knowing how much it really costs. The family wasted no time in building the house, they finished it in just over 2 weeks. The house had cobblestone walls and my fathers wood for a roof, a large building in the city. Everything is going normal in the city, until one night a huge storm brews up, rain pouring until noon of the next day. When Yurgon goes outside, he sees that the new family's house's roof has collapsed, destroying everything inside. When the father of their family sees me, he stomps over to me. "You!" he shouts, pointing a finger at my chest, "Where is your father, he has given me weak wood to build with and he needs to pay for my roof damage!" "My father isn't home right now, but i can have him come talk to you when he is." I say. "You better, because if he doesn't do something about my house, then he will be very sorry!" he shouts at me, then stomps off. Yurgon is sad afraid of what the man could do to them if his father doesn't pay, his father has never paid for damage to someones house before, but then again, no one has ever threatened his father before. Yurgon is scared for his father to come home, he doesn't want to have to tell him, but he must. When his father gets home, and Yurgon tells him about the house, his father just nods and says that he is going to go talk with the family. His father was gone for about 15 minutes, and when he got back his father didn't say anything, he just went to bed. When his father was about to leave for the forest in the morning, he asked Yurgon to come with him this time, he said that he needed his help today. Yurgon said that he would and they headed to the forest. His father handed him an axe and told him to chop a tree that he was standing next to. As they were working, Yurgon noticed that his father was constantly looking around them, as if someone was watching them. At the end of the day, as they were loading the last logs into the wagon, Yurgon heard a snap behind his father. Both of them looked in the direction from which they heard it, but they didn't see anyone. They continued putting the logs onto the wagon, but a few second later, another snap came from around his father and when they turned to the sound this time, two men, both armed with swords, were there. "Hello," one of the men said, "It seems that a friend of ours isn't so happy about you scamming his with his damaged house, so he has sent us to make sure that you don't scam anyone else again." Both of the men draw their weapons and begin to advance at us. Yurgon and his father grab their axes and just stand there, Yurgon didn't expect to fight but it seems like his father has been waiting to all day. The man that was talking swings his sword at Yurgon's father but he father ducks and shoves the top of the axe into his stomach, causing the man to back up. The man closest to Yurgon jabs the tip of his blade at his chest but he jumps out of the way. The man brings his sword up to as if to hit Yurgon's head, but then feints to his side, putting a fair cut on his hip. Yurgon's father is keeping his man at bay with his long axe which he swings whenever his enemy gets to close to him. The man that is attacking Yurgon swings his sword at the axe in his hands, knocking it away form him. He punches Yurgon in the face, Yurgon falls to the ground. The man is above him brings his sword up to kill Yurgon, but he falls to the ground as Yurgon's father tackles him. His father grabs a dagger from the man's belt and tries to put it in the man's heart. The man that his father was fighting before runs to aid his friend. Yurgon gets to his feet and grabs the sword that the man had dropped before and uses it to keep the man at bay form his father. His father has pins the man's arms with his knees. He brings the dagger up, looks at Yurgon, and brings it down into the mans head. The other man that Yurgon is holding off stops, and looks at his fallen comrade. He then looks at both of us for a quick second, smiles, and runs. Yurgon looks at his father, who is just as confused as he is. Yurgon and his father carry the body to a location where no one will ever find it, and go back home. When they arrive home they don't tell their family about what had happened that day, they just put the wood away and go to sleep. In the morning the next day, no one is talking, Yurgon's mother knows something has happened but doesn't want to question it. As they are eating lunch, someone knocks on the door. Yurgon's father answers it. When his father opens the door, a guard is standing there. "Are you Tanez Horst?" asks the guard. "Yes that would be me." Yurgon's father answers, his voice shaking. " What is the problem?" "You are being charged for the murder of Wester Oven." the guard says, " I need you to come with us." Matao runs over to the door. "Where are you taking my dad?" he asks. "Kid, I'm sorry to say but your dad is going to be away for a very long time." the guard says. Yurgon's mother grabs Matao and pulls him away from the door. As the guard is pulling Yurgon's father to towards the jail his father turns around and tells him. "Yurgon, don't let anything happen to our family, you are the man of the house now, take care them." he says as the guard tugs at his shoulder. "I will father, I will." Yurgon replies, not believing what is happening. Yurgon's life after his father going to prison is not what he expected it to be. His mother remarried a wealthy man who loved his brother and mother, but resented Yurgon. Yurgon felt the same way about him, the man had the house that his father build with his bare hands destroyed and had a bigger house built there. He made Matao think that he was his new father. Yurgon hated living there everyday. One day, Yurgon knew that this couldn't go on, he had to get out of there. While his mother was away from the man, he told her that he would be leaving to start his own life and that he wouldn't be back for a long time. Yurgon also told Matao that when he was old enough, he should find him and he would help him start his own life too. Yurgon grabbed his father's axe, a few coins from his step-father's secret stash and he left. Yurgon hoped that he would be able to survive on his own, he had no experience being alone. Yurgon set off to Arethor, hoping that he could make a living there. Ambitions for the Future: Yurgon hopes to start working as a woodcutter. He wants to live peacefully with a new life. He does not know what the future may hold for him but he hopes that it will not bring any harm to him. Personality: Yurgon is a quiet man if he doesn't know you very well, but a real solid man if you do. He is always up for helping people with their own personal problems, never wanting harm to come to anyone close to him. Skills: Yurgon has good hand with labor work, he will do what has to be done to make a living. He will try to talk his way out of making enemies. Yurgon is good with a sword in his hands and will protect people in need. Please be asdescriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point. ____ 1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do? Answer: I walk up behind the figure as quietly as I can, not wanting to alert him of my presence. I am now within touching distance of him. I stand up and as hard as i can, tackle him to the ground. "Guards!" I yell as I am struggling to hold him to the ground. The guards look in my direction when they hear me and start running to us. "Get off me you filthy worm!" says the unknown figure as he tries to push me off of him. "Guards! Help! Contain this man!" I keep yelling. The man manages to free his arm and elbows me in the jaw. I fall back, dazed for a moment, then get back onto my feet. This was all the time to man needed, he pulls a dagger out and starts lashing out at me. I'm backing up more and more as he keeps attacking. Two of the guards catch up to the man and surround him. "Stop! You cannot beat us, throw down your weapons and come with us peacefully, if you don't then we will be forced to retaliate." says the guard is charge. The man looks at him and smiles. "I never expected to come out of this alive!" the man says with a wicked grin, then he throws his dagger straight at the guard, surprising him, and it lands in his heart and he falls to the ground. I pick up the guard's sword and swing at the man, he dodges it. He pulls out a short-sword from and holds it tightly. I swing at the man again but he uses the flat of his blade to deflect it. The other guard rams into the man, knocking his sword from him. The man pushes him off and goes to grab his sword, I run over and kick the sword away. He swings his leg at mine, making me fall to the ground, the man is standing over me, he has retrieved his sword and is going to finish me off. An arrow suddenly flies from behind me and hits the man between the eyes. He falls on top of me, and i push him off. I turn around and see the other guard hold his bow. "Thank you." I tell the guard. "And thank you, for warning us and holding him down until we could come. Who knows what he planned to do here." He replies. "You've done a service to the capital, we won't forget that." I walk back to the Inn I'm staying at, wondering waht the man was doing there, and what i have prevented. 2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react? Answer: I sneak up behind the two bandits, being as quite as I possibly can. One of the bandits grabs the coins from the old man's pocket. The other man has his sword to the old man's throat, ready to kill him if he tries to kill him if he moves. I walk up behind the man grabbing the coins, I pull my sword out of it's sheath. As it comes out it makes a hissing sound, the two bandits hear it and turn around. I pull the blade out quickly and swing it at the man's head. He ducks and stabs his sword at my leg. The other man jabs his sword at my side. I back up, knowing that this won't end well. I feint to the left man, then hit the right man hard on his shoulder. The man on the right swings his huge sword at me, I duck to my knees to avoid it. I get up and tackle him to the ground. The man whose shoulder I cut pulls me off of his friend and throws me into a tree. I get up and quickly charge the man with the wound. He stands still, waiting until i get close enough, then slides to the right, and slices his blade at my leg. I fall to the ground, but get up as quickly as I can, my leg won't support me so i have to hobble on one leg. The man that I tackled runs at me, I repeat what the man did to me when i charged him, I stand still waiting for him to come close. When he gets close he swings his sword down, I hop out of the way and thrust my sword into his stomach, pull it out and push it back into his heart. The man backs up, walks around as if he is drunk, and falls to the ground, dead. The other man, eager to avenge his friend, come close to me and hits me on the forehead with the butt of sword. I fall to the ground holding my head with my hands. The man pulls my hands away form my face. He grabs a dagger form his side and puts it at my throat. "You shouldn't have messed with us kid." the bandit says. He brings up the blade to stab me, then a short blade comes out of his chest. He falls forward onto me. I grab his dead body and push him off of me. I see the old man standing behind the dead body. He puts a hand out and helps me stand up. "Thank you for saving me young man." the old man says to me. "I couldn't let them kill you, it's not right to steal form the old." i reply. "Why don't you come inside, the least I could do is help patch you up." he says gratefully. "Thank you." I say to him as I walk inside. 3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens). Answer: (Not positive what the currency is for the server) I walk up to the merchants area, looking at all of his goods. "How much for that fine looking axe?" I ask him. "75 coins" the merchant replies looking at me like he knows I can't pay for it. "I don't have the much with me sir." I say. "If you can't cough up the coins to buy anything then get out of here, your wasting my time." He says, seeming annoyed. "I'm a woodcutter, how much lumber wouldn't take to repay you for the axe?" I say thinking of an idea. "Look, I don't want wood I want coins, and if you can't pay up then leave." He argues. "What if I were to give you enough wood to buy the axe, plus 50% more, would you still not want it?" I say, knowing that he won't turn this down. "You could get many more goods to stock your store with." "Make it 75% more wood, and I want it brought in daily, otherwise the axe is mine." He replies thinking he won. "Deal." I say as he hands over the axe, already I knew this was the perfect one for me. "I'll be back here tomorrow with wood to pay." "You better." He yells as I'm walking away. Finally, I found a way to make a living.

Yurgon's father was a woodcutter and his mother stayed home to take care of Yurgon's younger brother, Matao. The man that Yurgon's father collected wood for always nagged him about how he destroyed the landscape around them when he cut the wood, so he insisted that his father go far out into Ager's forest and cut the trees there. His father had no choice but to agree, he knew nothing other than cutting wood, which would be the only way to keep his family from starving. Every morning his father went out into the forest to collect the wood, until one day Yurgon's father never returned home after leaving. Yurgon and his family did not worry too much, his father had gotten lost in the forest before, so none of them panicked. Only when night came was the family worried, Yurgon told his family that he would go look for his father in the morning. Yurgon woke up and went on the path that his father usually took, he knew the trail well since his father had him tag along a few times. Yurgon reached the area where his father cut the wood, there was no doubt that this was the spot, for hundreds of yards, all you could see was tree stumps. Yurgon walked over to a half cut tree with his father's axe sticking out of it, this troubled him, his father took his axe everywhere with him. He scoured the area until he found he found a blood stained boulder. Yurgon did not want to know what was on the other side of it. He slowly walked to the other side and let out a groan. His father was slumped against the boulder with a large hole in his chest. "Father!" Yurgon cried, his whole body was shaking. His father did not reply, his father was dead. Yurgon sat and mourned for his father's dead for hours. He finally found the strength to get up and go tell his family. His family was just as sad as he was he found out. The next morning the Yurgon, his mother and his brother went to go bury him. Yurgon thought of no better place to bury his father than the forest in which he spent most of his time in. When they finished digging the hole, Yurgon carried his father's lifeless body and gently put it in the hole. Just as they went to fill it in, heavy footsteps came from behind them. Yurgon looked up and went to grab his shovel, it would be his best chance at a weapon. He got it and ran to try to protect the only family he had left. He was too late, an orc standing next to his mother trusted a jagged sword through her heart, ending her life. Yurgon was breathless, he couldn't believe this was actually happening to him. Matao had run to his mother, not knowing that she was beyond help. Yurgon ran to grab his brother and screamed for him to come back. The orc took advantage of Matao's mistake and swung his sword at his neck. Yurgon fell to his knees as his brother's head rolled to the floor. Yurgon bent over and threw up, he was in such shock. The orc came for him next, slowly walking over to Yurgon, he knew that it was over for the young man, so he was savoring the moment. Yurgon got up and backed up into something hard. He turned around and saw that it was the half cut tree with his father's axe sticking out of it. Yurgon tried to pull the axe out as hard as he could, it budged slightly. He pulled harder this time, knowing that the orc would be on him in a moment, it was almost out. The orc stood in front of Yurgon and swung his sword for the blow that would have killed Yurgon. But Yurgon pulled one last time and with the momentum from his pull, the axe came out and sliced the orc in the stomach, cutting all internal organs. The orc froze looked at the fatal cut in his gut and fell over. Yurgon stood over him, then looked at himself, he was drenched in the orcs blood. He backed away from the body, he felt ashamed, but that felling left him after he remembered that this orc had killed his family, and he felt satisfied. He grabbed his father's axe, which he had dropped, and made a choice. Yurgon did not want to go back to his home, the memories would kill him, so he decided to go on his own. His father had thought him how to survive in the wild, and he would use that knowledge to make a living. For the next 8 years Yurgon lived on his own, only staying in one area for a few months at a time. Yurgon was avoiding going into a city and starting a life that most humans lived. He did not know any other life other then his current one. But Yurgon knew he had to, so he set off to Arethor to start a new life, one he hoped to live peacefully in. "Let's just kill the old sack and be done with him" says one of the bandits "Fine, but I want his amulet, it looks like its worth a coin or two" says the other bandit. As I get closer to them, my foot cracks a twig, the sound alerts the bandits and they turn around. I charge at the closer of the two with my sword in hand, not caring for myself anymore, just wanting to save the old man. I swing the sword at the man and it puts a deep cut in his arm, rendering it useless. The second bandit comes at me with rage, I can see I've angered him greatly. He swings his sword but only manages to lightly slice the side of my face. I kick him away and focus my attention to the injured bandit, he is now using his weak arm. He swings blindly and misses me, it is clear he doesn't have the strength to go on, I thrust my sword into his heart, finishing him in seconds. Something hard hits my head and I fall to the ground. I look up and see the other bandit. "You'll pay for his death" he says as he points his sword at is dead companion. He brings his sword up to end me, and stops, and looks down at the sword sticking out of his chest. He falls over, behind him is the old man that was being threatened.
