  1. Out-Of-Character Information Please fill out the following questions as accurately as possible, and ensure the essential details are accurate. Minecraft Account Name: primzy How old are you?: 19 Time-Zone: CET (GMT +1) Have you read, understood and agreed to the rules?: Yes. What previous experience have you had in role-playing?: I’ve been roleplaying in various Garry’s mod RP servers for the past three years. Most of that RP was on Half-Life 2 RP servers. Alongside that I am currently involved in two Text-RP situations on our own, still existing forum. How did you hear about the Lord of the Craft?: Heard about it from a player on your server and my friend who visits our Teamspeak from time to time, Polo (Or PoloUK1 as is his Minecraft account name). Link any applications that you have previously made for the server: None. Have you posted this application on the Minecraft Forum? If not, then please do so (link above): It’s posted. Have you read the Human lore, and shall you ensure you make use of it and follow it in your biography?: I read it and I’ll use it to the best of my abilities. Definitions In your own words define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!: Role-playing: The magic behind this is to define the key words. You play a role. In short, it basically means that what actors do in real life. They take the role of a character that was thought up. The key to role-play is to be able to portrait emotions, actions and a train of thought through the eyes of your character. Meta-gaming: Short and simple: Using information in-game that was obtained by means outside of your role-play. For example: Your friend tells you there is a lone farm a few kilometers west from your current area over teamspeak. You use that information to head over there. He then proceeds to tell you that there’s loot hidden under an exact floor tile. You rip out said tile and steal the loot. That’s a very short and crude example of Meta-gaming. Power-emoting: I had no idea what this meant when I first saw this. After a quick search I found out it possesses the same meaning as something we called ‘powergaming’. The meaning behind this word is that you force your actions upon others and not giving them a chance to retaliate in their own manner. Alongside that it also means dictating the role-play around you, meaning that you’re the one pulling all the strings and nobody else has any say in it, although it inflicts their characters. In-Character Information: Complete the following biography on your character: Full Name: Gregory Woodworth Current Age: 23 Sub-race (if any): Northerner Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): Gregory was born to a lumberjack father, Ovidius and mother Magdalene. He lived all of his life in the village he was born, only rarely travelling to the other local villages where either marriages or other more important events happened. Throughout his childhood, Gregory was mostly busy with helping his father and older brother Ovidius Junior with the family business. Oddly enough, that was woodcutting and minor woodcarving and crafting (planks, staves, shaped logs, etc.). Every now and then he got the chance to fuel the fire of exploration within him when he had to make either errands or deliveries for his father's profession. There isn't a woodcutter in the world who wouldn't need a dull axe sharpened, or fresh new boots, clothes. Most of these needed goods came from Al'Khazar, a great city and about the only 'local' city where you could gain quality goods. Gregory, however, preferred running about, exploring the forest while his father and older brother were trying their best to feed the entire family. He stumbled upon fascinating landscapes, stretching across the horizon and into the sundown. A second born child was, willingly or not, meant to leave the village when his father deemed him capable enough to make a living on his own. Gregory was in such a predicament. To leave the safety of your homestead? It was like a nightmare at first, thinking that he’ll end up in a cave, hungry, tired, soaked and scared, where wild beasts hunt down any sort of defenseless prey. But it was nothing of the sorts. The Destruction came before. On a most regular day, no different than any other, the undead came from behind the hills, waters and mountains. The entire village fled. Gregory, his father and mother, his brother. All of them. They just ran, and ran, and never stopped. It was the portal that saved their lives, near the Prince's road. That and the ships soon after. Yet life in Anthos was never the same after that. The entire family struggled to live on, and a decision has fallen upon them. Both Gregory and Ovidius Junior were told to find their own fortune. At first they traveled together, from inn to inn, doing just enough to keep them alive. But quarrel soon broke out, they never really did see eye to eye. It seemed to be the right time for them to part ways, to make their own riches and glory, which was up to them to interpret. To this day, Gregory has not found a place to call home and still searches the lands for a purpose to achieve. Ambitions for the Future: To find my place under the bright sun of these lands. A patch of land, a steady homestead. Settling further down south and create a self-sustaining farm. Personality: Gregory holds his emotions for himself. He only trusts such personal matters to true friends that he has known for a long time. While he does not talk much, what he says always has meaning. He is curious by heart but never disregards safety. Skills: Woodcutting, woodcarving, carpentry, simple cooking skills. Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin): Gregory is a white-skinned, brown-haired, bearded and moustache run-of-the-mill human and is seen wearing a green buttoned shirt, a leather belt and brown linen legwear. Dark brown, sturdy shoes to walk in through rough patches of various forests. Protective gloves help keeping his hands out of harms way whenever he is dealing with dangerous lumber or any other outdoor activities. Any other details you wish to share about your character: I think I’ve summarized it pretty well to this point. Open-Response-Questions Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point. ____ 1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do? Answer: Peacefully walking through the city and looking about to find a cheap inn, Gregory notices a rather shady figure scouring about. Knowing that such individuals are dangerous, Gregory makes his way to the local guards. “Sir, There is a rather suspicious man outside and It seems that he is up to no good. He’s towards the palace, right around the corner.” The guards hastily prepare themselves and move out to meet the man. Knowing that he did what is right, Gregory continues along the street and patiently asks the townsfolk for the nearest inn. 2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react? Answer: Gregory hides behind the nearby tree and assesses the situation. Two armed men, with experience, threatening a dodgy old man that has nothing more but a butter knife in his hands. Such odds are against him. It’s two bandits against an old man and a semi-experienced woodcutter. Gregory decides to evade the situation, going around the clearing through the underbrush of the forest, doing his best not to get spotted by the assailants. Although he feels as if he’s betrayed a long-known friend, he had no choice. It was either just the old man or potentially both of them. 3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens). Answer: Shopkeep: Welcome Sirrah to my little stall. Does anything interest your eyes? Gregory: Hmm. I see you have quite the collection. I’m more of a traveling man. Do you have an axe? Shopkeep: Yes we do! Here, I have an excellent iron-smith axe right here. But I have to ask, Sirrah, what is the offer yer offering? Gregory: 90 minas? That is really all that I can afford. Shopkeep: But this is the finest quality iron! I cannot go below 120 minas! Gregory: My dear sir, I cannot afford that high a price. I also need a bed to lay my tired head in, a full tankard to bill my belly and a plate with more than just bread. A hundred minas is my final offer. Otherwise I shall just look around a bit and find a cheaper axe to my fitting. Shopkeep: Hmmm… Your reasoning is just and your cause is good. Very well, Sirrah, you have a deal! A hundred it is! The two exchange the promised goods. The axe for a hundred minas. They exchange a pleasant smile and Gregory goes on his way. ((P.S. : A small edit, a few corrections here and there, expanded the story since I misunderstood the lore on the first read, hope I got it right this time.))
