Most lore can be found on our wiki.): - Kaelin was born on one of the darkest nights Anthos had ever seen. His skin, a dark grey, like dim moonlight, like that of his father's. His eyes, a dull, dark green like his mother's, and his hair was the color of the night sky around him. As a boy, Kaelin would go to his father's weaponsmith shop, and watch in awe as his father forged each blade maticulously. When he would come home, his mother would have a hearty meal for Kaelin and his father. They would laugh and tell stories around the table. Before bed, Kaelin's mother would come and sing to him as he drifted off to sleep. Their home was one filled with joy. Kaelin's father starting teaching Kaelin swordplay when Kaelin was big enough to walk and carry a stick. He became quite skilled at the art at an early age. He would sometimes go out and practice on small trees as he found it quite relaxing. His mother introduced him to the arts all the while. She was an exceptionally good singer, and encouraged Kaelin to find his voice. He never became as good as his mother, but he did find singing enjoyable in leisure time not spent in swordplay. As Kaelin aged, his father also started to teach him the basics of weaponsmithing. It came almost naturally to Kaelin. Kaelin enjoyed his life, and cherished every day. Then, something unimaginable happened to his family. One night, when the moon was full and hanging low, Kaelin's father awoke Kaelin and instructed him to hurry to the weaponsmith shop. Kaelin obeyed and rushed to the shop with his father asking him what was happening, but never to recieve an answer. When they arrived at the shop, Kaelin's father removed his necklace to reveal the family's sword crest on a pendant. His father pulled up a floor board and removed from beneath it a long, ancient looking chest. His father inserted the sword pendant from his necklace into the chest, unlocked it, and revealed a sword that seemed to have the very essence of the moon's light imbued within it. Before Kaelin's father could say another word, there came the sound of heavy footsteps in unison. Kaelin's father told him to go the back storage room and climb out the window. Confused and scared, young Kaelin obeyed his father one last time. As he crawled out the window with tears streaming down his face, his father screamed in agony. Among that scream, Kaelin heard racial slurs spit at his father. Kaelin ran home as fast as he could and told his mother what he had witnessed. They wept uncontrollably. After composing themselves enough to speak, Kaelin and his mother ran to the authorities. An investigation was held, but no one was accused, and Kaelin's father's murderers went on living without punishment. Kaelin refused to have his father's death unavenged, so he investigated himself. With thorough eyes, Kaelin found a letter that had fallen between the floor boards. He pryed the boards up and retrieved the letter. The letter had told Kaelin's father that he had recieved his last warning, and that he would soon face the consequences. The same slurs Kaelin heard before his father's death were written out on the paper too. Kaelin was sure that his father was murdered by high elf supremicists. He told his mother all that he had learned, but he was gravely confused. His mother then explained to him that the sword Kaelin's father showed him that night was said to be very powerful. It was crafted by the hands of one of Kaelin's great ancestoral fathers. This same ancestor dedicated the sword to the moon Aengul, Velulaei. She blessed the blade, and it had been passed down ever since. Kaelin then made it his goal to avenge his father, and bring back his family's heir loom, but the tracks went cold. And one day, Kaelin realized that was not how he wished to live his life, nor was it the way his ancestors would want him to. So Kaelin cast aside his hostility towards the men who murdered his father, and now strives to be as great a weaponsmith as his ancestors. What are they like? (personality): - Kaelin is kind to all with the exception of high elves who he treats with passive aggression. He enjoys his life now, and tries to be posititve in all situations. He's more of a thinker now that he's aged a bit. Also, Kaelin isn't too afraid of an adventure now and then to vent out the anger that he can't let go of. What are their ambitions?: - To become a master weaponsmith, and make his ancestors, especially his deceased father, proud. Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses? (Try to list a few of both): - Kaelin is an excellent weaponsmith and a decent singer. Kaelin is headstrong to a point of it being a fault sometimes. He is mentally traumatized by his father's death, and certain sounds trigger that memory. Give us a description of how they look?: - Kaelin has gray skin, like that clay. His eyes are a dark green and his hair is as black as the nights when Velulaei hides the moon. Please give us a screenshot of your character’s skin: - http://imgur.com/oUmBOIS Good luck and thank you for applying to the server!: - Thanks for the luck! Hope to be RP'ing soon.

Upon inspection you realize that a group of older elves are mocking a small elven child. How do you react? Answer: As Kaelin was enjoying a walk though the woods he heard undistinct sounds. He followed them to their source only to find a group of elders taunting a small and helpless elven child. Kaelin interjects as one of the elders is soon to make another remark about the child. Whilst wandering through the Elven forests you come across a frail old man with a walking stick. He collapses in front of you, falling to the ground with a sharp thud. The man lies there, defenseless - what do you do? Answer: One sunny day in Malinor, Kaelin was walking through the forests and admiring the beauty of the trees around him when he heard a thud. Not far from him an old, feeble man had fallen dropping his coin pouch spreading the golden discs about the path. Kaelin helped the man to his feet as he pushed himself up with his walking stick. He then gathered the coins, and returned them to the elder, and with that he blessed the man and went back to his business. 3. Whilst traversing the Elven Woodlands, you come across a small clearing in which a colored carriage sits. A trader stands outside of it and calls you over, telling you of his wares. He points out that his carriage sells just about everything, and that he's willing for you to haggle for a price. What does your character do? (Please include:- item, haggling for prices and the discussion involved). Answer: Upon traveling through the Elven Woodlands, Kaelin came across a traders carriage not much unlike his father's. The trader called him over with a welcoming hello and sunny smile. The trader invited Kaelin to inspect his numerous wares ranging from weaponry, to food, to crafting supplies, and more. Kaeling inspected the wares intently to ensure they were of good quality before he even considered buying the delicious looking stew. He then asked the trader how much he wanted for five bowls of his finest stew to which the trader replied, "That fine food will cost you 50 minas." Kaelin quickly replied, "That stew is surely only worth 25 minas." The trader looked offended by the counter offer and said, " I'll go no lower than 40." Kaelin pointed to the chips and scratches on the bowls and said, "How about 35?" The trader reluctantly took the offer, and Kaelin walked away with food for his travels and minas in his pocket. He was so happy that his father had taught him his trade.
 3. My name is Eron Nightlock, and I am a dark elf of the great city of Malinor. I have lived out the first thirty years of what I hope to be a long, blessed life. My life began on what I'm told was a beautiful spring day in Malinor. My childhood consisted of my father teaching me the ways of the sword when he wasn't laboring away in the fields on the outskirts of the city. I grew fond of swordplay, and I became skilled, but my skill went to waste. My mother was with child when I was seventeen, and we lacked the money to support another mouth to feed, so I went to work in the fields with my father. For three years I labored by his side until one night I stayed late in the fields. When I returned to our humble home, I found it had been destroyed and robbed. All we had was gone, but worse, as was my family. I went into a depression in which I refused to eat or speak to another human, elf, orc, or dwarf. I couldn't be consoled. One day though, as I wept on the outskirts hoping that God might strike me with lightning and end my miserable life, an elf approached me. His name was Sam. He took me to his home where he nursed me back to health from my malnourished state. We bonded over the time I was in his care. He became the family to me that was taken away so quickly. Now, I continue to live in the great city of Malinor, and I hope to pick up the pieces of my broken life, and create something great with them that will make my mother, father, and Malinor himself smile down on me from the heavens.
