  4. (( I just though tot do this because i wanted SOME weapon advances over the more that 100 year lifespan that is LOTC, opinions and comments are welcome, Enjoy!)) *Lancing is sitting by the low coals of the fire just outside of his barracks, experimenting with a thin metal rod, He finds a stone dowel and carefully uses small blasts of miniature arcane missiles to wind the white-hot rod around the stone. Satisfied, he dunks it in a bucket of water and goes to bed, In the morning he wakes up and checks his creation, he shakes off the water droplets and eases the bent rod off the stone. He bends the two ends of the rod and they resist but give slightly, Lancing does a double take and bends it again, it resists but gives slightly again. He then grabs a bit of bread from the nearby table and puts it on the end of the contraption and bends it back, he releases and watches as the bread goes flying across the room….. “Oi! SAM!” He yells at his sleeping friend to no effect. Lancing sighs and aims a peice of bread at Sam’s mouth. The projectile hits on the target, and wakes up Sam who now has a piece of bread stuck in his throat. “Wot the hell Lancing?!’ He yells at his comrade, slapping him upside to head. “Look at this,” Lancing sends a peice of bread across the room, “what…. is that?” Lancing fiddles with the contraption which creates a type of ‘spriong’ sound: “A, Spring.”
  5. I've recently been thinking on how long LOTC has existed and what advances weapons technology should have, especially considering the influence of magic in the world. I would think that there would already be gunpowder or some sort of explosive or even gas/oil. I hope that we would be able to implement grenades of explosive tipped ranged ammunition for bows and crossbows. Maybe even wrist mounted bows or crossbows. Also, i would think that by now people would understand that metal conducts electricity and an electric mage would wield a metal rod as a weapon. I hope that this idea helps someone reconsider implementing this. -Nexus

Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): My parents were an unusual couple. My father was a dark elf who i’ve never seen (supposedly dead), and my mother was a normal elf by the name of Renala, she raised me in the capital city of Leumalin. We were a well-off family. Renala was an architect who designed royal houses for princes and princesses. She was also a very big believer of the creator. One of the major events in my life was that I was almost run over by a carriage but was saved by a dark elf who suddenly sprinted out of the trees and pushed me out of the way then sprinted into the woods, strange enough, he looked exactly like me , but had a scar down his right cheek. I looked around and saw he dropped a dagger with strange runes on it, A cult maybe? I honestly don’t know where it came from, only that it has served me well. A week later the war took place and the delvers and mercenaries tried to replace the Malinor government. The mercenaries forever terrorized us. But finally Malinor allied with the orcs and started winning the battles, in the end the orcs and the elves prevailed. The houses destroyed in the war made my mother very successful. The only problem was that many of our possessions were destroyed or taken by the mercenaries. But we were just overjoyed about the treaty and celebrated throughout the night and day. I then grew up educated then got a job as an architect. I design many stone and glass structures, while still trying to incorporate the elven grace. I also have many debating skills and usually win in disagreements. Ambitions for the Future: To join the high guard then become a politician or ambassador in the city council. Personality: Quiet and patient, but direct, and polite. Also organized and determined. Smiled only 5 times in life, only 3 have been witnessed. A very fair person and tries to stop corruption. Loves music. Also I’m male. Skills: Great at debating but mediocre at fighting. Very fast but not very strong. Sneaky. Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin): The security deleted the picture. ? Any other details you wish to share about your character: Has one green eye and one red eye. Is an only child. Preferred weapons are a dagger and a knife. Dyes hair red and blue. Open-Response-Questions Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point. ____ 1. As you walk through the deep forests you hear the sound of whispering and snickering. Upon inspection you realize that a group of older elves are mocking a small elven child. How do you react? Answer: I stop the older elves and help the child. “Leave the boy alone, you are supposed to be wiser than him.” The older elves turn to me. “Get out of here, this isn’t your buisness.” I hurl my dagger at them, intentionaly aiming away from him. They flinch, and I run in and take the boy away. “What happened?” I ask the boy when we are far away. “I... I was just.. exploring and those.. men came up to me...” The boy begins to cry. “Its okay, i’ll bring you home.” I sheath my dagger, and pat the boy on the back. He grins. “Thank you.” whispers the boy silently. The edges of my mouth almost twitch upward. “I don’t have a family..” whimpers the boy. I look at him for a moment, before making up my mind. “You can live with me. What is your name?” The boy stares at me deep into my eyes. “Rantos.” And so we walk, hand by hand, into Lumaelin, where I live. “Welcome, to Malinor.” 2. Whilst wandering through the Elven forests you come across a frail old man with a walking stick. He collapses in front of you, falling to the ground with a sharp thud. Out of his pocket falls a small pouch of gold coins, which hits the ground and splits open spreading coins across the pathway. The man lies there, defenseless - what do you do? Answer: I will give the old man his coin purse and walk down the path to get a healer. Then I will bring the healer as fast as I can, back to the old man. After the old man is healed,I ask “What were you doing out there old man?” He sighs and then says, “ I was walking with my sons on a long journey. Then they played a cruel trick on me, they took my cane while I was napping and left me behind.” I then told the man we would go find his friends. We walked through the forest then found their sons being attacked by a poisonous cobra. I took out my dagger and sliced off the cobra’s tail, But the disembodied tail whacks the dagger out of my hand. The viper now advances. But the Old man suddenly yells and crushes the vipers skull under his cane. I look at the old man and thank him. The sons look genuinely sorry that they tricked the old man. I warned them not to trick him again and walk down the path back home. 3. Whilst traversing the Elven Woodlands, you come across a small clearing in which a colored carriage sits. A trader stands outside of it and calls you over, telling you of his wares. He points out that his carriage sells just about everything, and that he's willing for you to haggle for a price. What does your character do? (Please include:- item, haggling for prices and the discussion involved). Answer: I would buy a bow and it was 200 minas. I said “This bow is too much, my purse is already small enough, how about 50 minas?” The trader put on an offended face and said “ Are you kidding me? Fine, I’ll be nice and give it to you for 150.” I knew that old trick from the times i’ve been shopping in Leumalin. .” Don’t think I’m going to pay 150 for this cheap bow. The only reason I’m buying it is because I need it! 75.” The trader finally gives in. “ By the Creator, Alright, fine! ere’ ya go.” And then I walk out of the clearing and back into the forest.
