In-Character Information: Complete the following biography on your character: Full Name: Heimer Droxx Current Age: 50 Sub-race (if any): Northerner Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): Heimer Droxx was born within the rebuilt city of Solace. He was born in a mediocre family, where his father worked in the city guard. His father suffered from an unfortunate accident wher he fell off his horse and became paralyzed from his waist down. Heimer was forbidden by his father to join the city guard while he remained alive, as he wanted to spend his spare time with Heimer. Heimer had grown accustomed to spending his time alone and with his father. Heimer's father also told Heimer to advance in his education, where Heimer quickly surpassed the education of many boys and young men. Heimer soon became facinated by the idea of making things easier, and became a small time inventor. He would design and engineer small trinkets. At first he designed toys for children, but as he matured he invented items that were more practical. He modified swords, sometimes combining a gauntlet to the sword, making it easier to hold on to a sword in battle. By the time he was 27, his name was fairly known in his neighborhood. Heimer's father had succumbed to a deadly disease and was dying. Heimer's father wanted to ride a horse one last time, so Heimer invented a saddle for paralyzed beings and fulfilled his father's dying wish. Shortly after his father's death, Heimer sailed from Solace to Anthos, before the Orcs attacked. Heimer bought a small basement in Kingston and turned it into a lab. He performed experiments and worked on improving any and every aspect of life. He would add spheres at the bottom of chairs to roll around on while he worked. He also improved the telescope, by adding extra lenses to adjust the zoom capabilities. But soon, many fanatics of magic had learned of Heimer's experiments and were outraged. He was even more outraged when Heimer publicly admitted he believed in no god, which was an unpopular belief at this time. Heimer made poor preparations to protect himself from his assaulter's, and soon found his lab completely burned and his life worked ruined. Heimer rebuilt his lab and continued his work, and waged war on magic with science. He later also began to teach science to young men intrested in his ideals. Soon after Heimer, under his new name Dr.Droxx, published a book about Science, called "The Magic of Logic:Science". Dr.Droxx continues his inventions as his primary part of his life and worked away. By the time Dr.Droxx was 50, his name was less known, and people were less interested in his work. Dr Droxx then fell into poverty and had his lab and property seized for failure to pay. Dr. Droxx lived in sorrow for five years, spending whatever money he could salvage on liquor. One sorrow afternoon, Heimer looked out the window of a tavern and saw a little boy riding on a horse. But on the saddle was the device Heimer had invented so many years ago for his father. Heimer then resolved to be the inventor he once was and maybe more. "While there is at least one person that complains about hardships, I will use my logic to solve that problem" - Heimer Droxx (The Magic of Logic: Science) Ambitions for the Future: Heimer Droxx hopes to become the inventor he used to be and influence other his ideals on logic, reason and science, while trying to abolish the idea of true magic and gods. Personality:Friendly yet aggressive attitude. He says what he thinks and is often blunt. When someone disagrees with him, he often feels superior to his opponent, yet does not treat them with disrespect. He is fascinated by inventions and science. Often in sorrow, he goes on an uncontrollable drinking spree. Skills: -Extreme Intelligence in Science and Engineering -Average Athleticism (Tests his own inventions) -Can read and write very well -Knowledgeable about basic battle strategy. Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin): Heimer wears a leather cap secured on his head which has a variety of invenctions stored on them that can be used such ass glasses and lenses. He also is accustomed to wearing a scarf, even in the hottest weather. Any other details you wish to share about your character:N/A Open-Response-Questions Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point. ____ 1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do? Answer: Heimer prefers to avoid violent trouble whenever necessary. He is a timid type and prefers not to be involved in deadly schemes. Heimer Droxx watches the figure intently as the figure approaches the palace. Heimer then exchanges his glance over at the guards not paying attention to the figure, and prepares to shout. He stops midway though his actions and hesitates, thinking of what would happen if he exposed the figure. "Could he be part of a larger group and underground assassains? What if I'm their next target if they find out?" Heimer thinks to himself. He hurriedly walks to the guards and begins to swing his hand at one of them to get their attention. "Hey, psst," Heimer whispers, "see that man over there....?" Heimer points in the direction of the ominous figure that is approaching the palace. "He looks like he's up to something." The guards scoff at him, but investigate the man anyways. Heimer takes off as soon the guards leave in order to protect his idenity. "I hope I don't get into deep trouble for this.." Heimer thinks to himself as he awaits the news the next day. 2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react? Answer: Heimer has no sympathy for the weak-minded, and believes sometimes they are a waste of space. Heimer looks on at the situation, calculating the fact that he himself could outrun the heavily armed men in the need arise, due to the fact they carry heavy weapons. Heimer then calls out to the heavily armed men in a loud yet timid voice. "Psst, guys you'd better get outta here," Heimer starts, "I just saw a couple of bounty hunters around here. If they see you, you'll be their next pay. Just a heads up..." "Get lost ya' ol' rat, trust me, you don't want to interfere wid' us." the biggest bandit replies. "Alright, I just wanted to help a fellow bandit out, ya' know, just because I'm old doesn't mean I ain't a killer." Heimer deceitfully replies. The larger bandit replies again, "How do we know we can trust you, 'aye? You're just an old scum in the woods. Why don't we kill ye' now to keep ye' trap shut." "Alright, but don't say I didn't warn you. And it's best if you just leave this man alone, and I'll put in a good word for you," Heimer states in a cunning manner. "Aye' we'd better get outta here, what if this wimp's right? C'mon, this ol' man here ain't got nuthin' on 'im." the younger, dumber looking bandit says. The bandits leave into the surrounding overgrowth and the unstable old man walks to Heimer. "You're not gonna rob me too right..?" the man timidly replies. Heimer laughs as the old man's foolishness. "No, you idiot, I'm not really a bandit. It was just something to get them off your back." The old man dances a bit in joy, then replies, "Thank you, kind sir. I might have died without you." "Maybe if you used that useless noggin' of yours you wouldn't get in situations like those." Heimer states in a annoyed tone. Heimer then leaves the man to his business and continues on. 3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens). Answer: Heimer also cares about his survival above others. He usually uses mind tricks to deceive the weaker minded, which helps him survive. Heimer approaches the stall, finding some fresh beef chunks for sale. "Hmm, those beef chunks look delicious" "Aye', just put some stick into 'em and put 'em over a fire. They're fresh off too, and go fast, eat 'em by tonight." the plump vendor replies in a jolly voice. Heimer then looks down and notices the vendor is also selling portable micro telescopes. "My, these a just amazing. Mind if I look into one?" "Go right on ahead, but don't break it, sire." the vendor replies. Heimer picks up the telescope and looks though it, then grunts. "Is there a problem?" the vendor then asks. Heimer replies in a dissapointed tone, "No no, they're just incredibly dirty, can't even see through them. It cuts down the value by a half. But look I got just the thing." Heimer rummages though his travler's bag, and finds ordinary water scented with common forest trees. "Hmm, this looks and smells like some sort of foreign elixer. I might be able to trick this fool." Heimer thinks to himself. "This is extrememly rare and unknown elixer that will make any sort of glass shine, basically doubling your profits." The vendor looks baffled and intrigued at the opportunity. "They used to be cheap, but the rare plant used to make these are gone from these areas, won't come by another one like it." Heimer states. The vendor takes a whif of the rosy water and nods. "Aye' it even smells like a potion." "So, this elixir for the beef chunks?" Heimer offers. "Ay'e it's a deal then." the vendor says as he greedily reaches over for the water. They exchange and Heimer walks of, thinking in his head, "I'm not proud of what I've done, but I don't regret doing it." Heimer then smiles as he makes peace with himself and continues on his journey.
