  1. The port side ship was sinking in flames, but most of the pirates had carried the ramp before hand. They were slowly being pushed back and killed as sailors arrived from the stern side of the fight, but the leader and a tight knot of pirates were holding strong. The thirty pirates smashed into Victor's line, and a dozen men were killed in the first few moments of the fight. The remaining men soon entered a confused and hectic fight, as the sailor's line buckled and collapsed. As Victor and two sailors stood back to back, fighting on all sides, things seemed grim. That's when the reinforcements arrived. With Jonathan's heroics, sailors streamed in, and soon relieved Victor and the last sailor to survive. Using numbers, the sailors over whelmed the rest of the pirates, until only the leader and his most able men were left. Jonathan had killed the last of the pirates on their ship with his men, and they stored silently towards the pirate leader. "Fight me in single combat, and die fucker! I'll smash your ******* skull in for the warrior, and then piss in your skull!" The pirate leader roared. Jonathan raised his hand, smiling. "There will be no such thing" He lowered his hand, and the sailors left alive on the mast let loose a volley, killing the leader and the last of the pirates. The day was won, but at horrible cost. As sailors scurried to and fro to kill the wounded pirates and aid their wounded comrades, Jonathan let loos a whoop of triumph, before sitting down hard, wounded and completely exhausted.
  2. Seeing the man shot by an arrow, the leader dismissed him as a target and strode into the midst of the sailors. He was killing sailors with each swing of his mighty warhammer, and the sailors pouring in from the stern line did little to help, besides hold back the pirates rallying around their leader. It would take a hero or a well placed shot for any chance of victory.
  3. ((Don't be afraid to die!)) The pirates took up a war chant, their leader had taken the field. As Rossen, Victor, and Wilson led the sailors on the port side in a counter attack, the pirates and their leader met them blade to blade. The leader was an ox of a man, standing at 6'' and hefting a massive warhammer. His first swing pummeled two sailors to the side, and the return stroked killed another one. As his men swarmed around him and into the fight, he roared his challenge and charged straight for Wilson, bringing his war hammer to bear. Jonathan Flowers killed his tenth pirate that day, chopping him neatly in half. Jonathan, Rickard, and the sailors on the stern side had fought the pirates back almost to the boarding planks, but they were holding hard. As the last of the pirates poured in, Jonathan saw his chance to break them on this side. Shouting an incoherent battle cry, he charged with the sailors straight at the pirates swarming over the boarding planks. Shield at the fore, Jonathan bashed into their line, and swung his longsword in short and brutal arcs. As the sailors took up the fight around him, Jonathan leapt onto the boarding ramps. "Archers, cover me!" With that Jonathan and the surviving sailors poured over the boarding ramps, and onto the pirate ship. Only a few sailors had managed to carry the ramp with Jonathan, and they soon found themselves surrounded and in a thick fight. Back to back with Rickard, Jonathan smiles. "Looks we really will need to get each others backs, stay alive." Jonathan and the dozen men left to him were holding the pirates back long enough for the sailors on the stern side to go help fight off the pirates leader, and to secure the stern line again.
  4. Before Noach could go below deck, he finds himself blocked by Jonathan Flowers. "Everyone fights, or everyone dies. Take this, and climb the mast." A sailor hands Jonathan a cross bow, and Jonathan promptly shoves it and a quiver into Noach's hands. Jonathan then joined the line of sailors, mouthing a silent prayer to the drowned god. Hearing the offer to strike up a tune, he says. "Yes play us a song, but when the pirates near join the line." Taking a swig of Rickard's wine, Jonathan grinned wolfishly. "Aye let us get each other's back, this will be a tough fight." The chase continued for three more hours, the pirates steadily gaining on the Pink maiden. At the end of the day, the two ships entered range. A volley from both ships thudded home, sailors and pirates alike dying. The pirates clearly wished to board the sip, and closed the gap. The two pirate ships boarded from west and east, and soon they were storming over boarding ramps and seining in on ropes. The embattled sailors quickly retaliated, and soon a fighting scrum took place all over the Pink Maiden's deck. Nearly two hundred pirates took on the crew of three hundred sailors, all evenly armed. Plunging his long sword into the first pirate to gain the deck, Jonathan bashes his shield into the second, throwing the pirate over board. "TO ME, TO ME!" As sailors and Rickard rallied to Jonathan, they began to push the pirates to the edge of the deck, before another storming party came aboard. The fighting became brutal.
  5. That's actually a really good idea! People may now make applications for characters that will meet us in Astapor!
  6. ((You have an immunity to the poison? That's a bit far fetched, I'm putting an end to that.)) As Ramyr leads the men to his wine casket, Ser Torrhen and a compliment of sailors would see two dots on the horizon. As everyone else bickered and argued, those few would shout out in alarm. Cursing, Jonathan shouts. "Ramyr we'll deal with this later. Everyone, get your armor on and weapons out! From what I can tell they're pirates and thankfully not Ironborn reavers, but it'll still be a close call. Anyone with a bow climb the mast, and get ready to shoot the pirates. Everyone else line up with the sailors, we all fight." Jonathan runs below deck, as everyone scrambles about to their stations. He locks the door behind him, and straps on his plate armor. Coming back above deck, he's satisfied with the sailors response. Archers were all up the mast and in elevated positions, while sailors were lined all along the ship. Typically armed with maces, boat hooks, hatchets, and daggers, the sailors were an experienced crew. It was obvious the pirates would catch up to the burdened pink maiden, and it was only a matter of time until boarding action took place. Jonathan unsheathed his sword and stood silent by the wheel, grimly staring at the nearing pirate ships.
  7. Jonathan raised his hand for silence, before unsheathing his sword. Pointing it at Ramyr he says; "You will tell the sailors where all your wine is, and they shall go get it. From there, you will sample each one, to prove it's not poisoned and prove your innocence." The sailors who were outraged at their captains death inched closer, fingering their weapons. They clearly wished for blood, and only Jonathan held them back from attacking Ramyr.
  8. Jonathan looks to all the confused and concerned men, before turning to Rickard. "I found him dead on the floor, with spilt wine and vomit everywhere. He seemed fine if a bit drunk, but now he's dead. I talked to the sailors, and the last man to speak to the captain was Ramyr. Find him, and bring him to me. We'll get to the bottom of this right now. The captain's son has informed me he will aid me in any actions, we have the sip on our side." Two sailors emerge from the captain's cabin, carrying the dead man between them. Wine, vomit and blood stain his tunic. "He has been poisoned, and I have a damned good idea who's behind this."
  9. I'll make an exception, just make your application. You'll just have to make a catch up post.
  10. Jonathan opens the captains door, and the sight of the dead captain laying on the floor greeted him. Cursing silently, Jonathan goes up to the captain, and checks for sign of life. Finding none, he notices the vomit all over the captain, and the spilled wine. Rising, Jonathan emerges from the captains cabin and shouts. "The captain is dead, sailors, round up my men and bring them above deck. We're getting to the bottom of this." Sailors would comb through the decks, telling the men under Jonathan to go above deck. As the men slowly emerge and file in front of Jonathan, the Pink Maiden continued her voyage. The sailors were scared, being so close to the step stones. With the Redwyne navy on the other side of Westeros, and the iron fleet infesting this area, an attack was probable.
  11. Nodding to the man leaving, and quickly biting down on one of the dragons, the captain raised his glass and downed it in one go. Before Ramyr could leave fully, the captain says, "You poured yourself a drink but yet you do not drink? Sit down, have a drink of your own wine!" Jonathan opens the captains door, to come face to face with Ramyr. "Ramyr, a pleasure. Hail captain. Come Ramyr, it's time you all know the plan. Drink later with the captain later." As the captain groaned and sat up, to begin starting the long process of debarking from harbor, the band of adventurers gathered around Jonathan. The Pink Maiden left shortly after, catching a favorable wind. As they entered the sea, Jonathan gazed at all the men and women under his command. "We will maker port as Astapor, this much you know. From there, agents under our benefactors pay will give us all the food, horses, and supplies we will need. From there, we must travel the lands of Astapor, to the Lhazaereen. We will receive Valyrian steel forged chains, that will be able to withstand a dragon's bite or flame. From there we will head back down, to Meereen. How we will exactly get the dragons will be worked at later. Now get to know each other, rest, eat, or drink. Do whatever you want for now, it will be a long voyage." (specify what the poison will do please)
  12. The captain snorts and looks at Ramyr. "I am no stupid man, whelp. You lure me with the promises of gold and power, if I am to sign this contract giving you power over my ship. Next thing I know I will find myself at the bottom of the sea, with your smug ass sitting in my own chair. Here's what will happen now, you will give me a hundred golden dragons, or I will go right now and tell Jonathan of what you plan to do." The captain leans back, grinning. -- Jonathan emerges from the deck, and looks at everyone. Sheathing his sword, and slinging his shield over his back, Jonathan shouts. "Everyone get above deck, we're leaving port. Once we reach the sea the full extent of my plan shall be revealed!" Jonathan strides off to the captains cabin, to see what the hold up was.
  13. The captain looks closeley at the man, judging him. After waiting long enough to make the silence uncomfortable, he says. "You better chose your next words wisely, Jonathan would pay good gold if I was to root out a man who plotted against him. However money certainly intrigues me, but not power in a land like Westeros." The captain takes a sip of wine "Speak"
  14. A bit later, the cabin boy aproaches Ramyr and motions with his head to the captains cabin. If Ramyr chose to follow the boy he would have an audience with the captain, but everyone would see him enter the cabin.
  15. The Bravos crew men stared at Rickard, before shouting to the captain. He comes up and says in stilted common toungue. "You vant hurse to come on ship?" The captain lets out a weird bellow like noise that Rickard would notice is the man's laughter. Before things can escalate, Jonathan emerges from below deck and says. "Leave it Rickard, horses will be waiting for us in Astapor." Making his entrance, Jonathan steps fully on to deck, and glares at Chad. "The next time you show up drunk while on duty as one of my men, I will kill you myself. Drink only when you are off duty, this goes to all of you." Checking the position of the sun, Jonathan mutters and heads back into his cabin, waiting for the last of his men. He pulls out his armor, sword, and shield from his cabinet. Taking a rag, he begins to polish down the armor and weapons. After this he gets to the real work of sharpening his sword, though he also sharpens the point of his shield.
  16. Jonathan Flowers strode up the Pink Maidens plank, taking note of Victor sleeping. Kicking him awake, Jonathan went to seal his arangements with the captain. From there Jonathan dropped his gear off and locked his door behind him. Peering through the window, he waited for everyone to make their way to the ship, they had half a day to get on before they left for Astapor. Telling the cabin boy to wake him up when the first arrivals showed up, Jonathan stroked a pendant and dozed off. ((All aboard!))
  17. All of you are accepted! Take note any applications from after the pink maiden leaves harbor will become null Anyone who fails to post in the set up time frame will just be ignored until the person can make catch up post, We shall wait for no one.
  18. Sounds good, just remember most people will turn you into the authorities, so keep it on the DL.
  19. Jonathan Flowers eyed the Dornishmen in front of him, waiting to hear his two cents. "It is indeed true that we shall sail the narrow sea to get us a dragon, and fear not for if my plans go smoothly we shall not need to lay down a single life. Indeed the dragon queen is strong, I have been told Astapor is now in the hands of the 'Butcher King' and that Danery's makes court in Meereen. This however will work to our advantage, and I'll tell you and the rest of the men the full plan when the Pink Maiden arrives from sea." Leaving the Dornishmen in the streets, Jonathan went to the merchants quarter to finish the last of his plan. Vary's had paid him well to bring Danerys to Westeros, but he was being paid very well by a benefactor who wanted nothing but the dragons. In a dingy alleyway, deep in fleas bottom, Jonathan meets with a disciple of the benefactor. "The chains have been safely transported to Quarth, and from there our men will take part of a large caravan heading towards the Lhazareen. You and your men will have to personally enter the sheep lands and secure the chains." More detailed plans are handed to Jonathan in a pamphlet. ((The Pink Maiden and the real beginning of our adventure will start tomorrow, enough time for late applicants and Huwel. I also would recommend at least a paragraphs worth of content each post.))
  20. Well Magiik, do a little bit of study on Westeros. It could possibly get in the way, but what's more important is that your'e having fun role playing, so I'll let you know if something's amiss. Sneakey I would accept you, but you don't get discharged from the wall, you serve for life. You could go for a deserter of the watch. Note to everyone, I wouldn't mind if this went like the books, so everyone can assuredly make secrect plans with each other to eventually f*ck everyone over and take the dragon for yourself!
  21. Accepted! Everyone feel free to act like they do in the books, no one likes a chivalrous person.
  22. Jonathan smiled at the odd band he has assembled, and downed his ale before leaving the room. The wench he had chosen gave him one last sly look before running off in search of her next customer. Staying and getting to know the men under his command would of been nice, but Jonathan had business to attend to. "I'd suggest you lot get the right supplies, it'll be quite the journey." With that Jonathan left, and headed off towards another discreet inn. There he sat down with a man, who was quick to state. "I'm glad that you have found such capable men, Flowers. I trust our agreement is still in order?" "Of course, Lord Varys. We meet the girl, and convince her to come to Westeros to rally the lords to her cause. What will I tell the men when the time comes?" "That they will still get their pay, and will achieve lands and titles, that should be enough." "My only concern is actually getting to Me-" "I'll trust you to solve those issues" And with that Varys left, leaving a bag of golden dragons on the table. From there Jonathan made way to the merchants quarters, to buy all the supplies he imagined he would need. He knew one thing however, and that was one of those dragons would be his, and damn anyone who tried to stop him and his men. ((I'll let everyone role play a bit before making the post of the time to set sail))
