What previous experience have you had in role-playing?: I've been an avid roleplayer for many years. I founded and run the popular roleplay kingdom, Kingdom Durt, on the game IMVU. I play the character of Doc, the king of the kingdom. Some fantasy RPGs I've had the pleasure of playing quite a bit are Aion (proud Asmodian, Army 1-Star Officer), Runescape and Perfect World International.
How did you hear about the the Lord of the Craft?: Google. As I mentioned before, I've been rolelaying for quite sometime and I've been looking for a great place to try out a new character of mine on Minecraft. This server came up in my search results.

Definitions

Role-playing: If stage acting and written literature met and had a child, roleplaying would be that child.
Meta-gaming: Cheating. It's basically using knowledge that your character wouldn't and couldn't know otherwise to gain an advantage.
Power-emoting: On IMVU we call this god-modding and if you're found guilty of it then it's an automatic forfeit. It's simply forcing your actions on another individual without so much as giving them a chance to respond and defend themself. It's a cheap way to win a fight and is usually a sign that the player in question is a mediocre roleplayer at best.

Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long):
Svynn was born on the outskirts of Normandor before the fall of Asulon. His mother, a strong woman, raised him and his little brother Kravos single-handely being their father abandoned them shortly after Kravos had been conceived. Despite this, Svynn and Kravos had a wonderful childhood and Svynn often reminisces on the lazy summer afternoons he spent as a child watching the sun set from the sleepy tree tops of his forested home. Growing up, Svynn spent a lot of his time with an elderly elf known only as Storn, who he sort of looked up to as a make-shift father figure. Storn mentored Svynn in the many ways of natural magic, while also sparking Svynn's interest in travel and music. It was Storn also who taught him how to play the lyre.
In his late teens, tragedy unfortunately befell him and his brother when their mother passed away due to unknown circumstances leaving Svynn and Kravos to fend for themselves. It was then that Svynn parted ways with his brother and left his childhood home to travel, probably to cleanse himself of the grief he suffered from the loss of his mother. He spent many years travelling to various lands, many of which that lay in other realms. And it is now that he wishes to return to the nation of Malinor. (And this is where the story will pick up if I'm accepted and allowed to play on the server.)
Ambitions for the Future:
As stated before, Svynn wishes to return to the nation of Malinor and to his own kind, the wood elves. Once he arrives, he really isn't sure what he'll do being he doesn't have the slightest clue what exactly it is he'll find there. He's been travelling for so long, he's grown sick of it and upon his arrival I'm sure he'd like to settle, build a suitable home for himself and maybe, if fate smiles upon him, marry someday. There are several occupations he is considering. He'd like to be either a farmer, a librarian or maybe even a miner. He would also like to reunite with his younger brother Kravos. (Kravos will be played by my little brother in real life if he is accepted onto the server as well)
Personality:
Svynn is a well mannered man and very kind-hearted. He fancies good humor, possesses a great sense of humor himself and is awfully quick witted. Out of all of my roleplay characters, Svynn is the most peaceful and he ties with Doc at being one of the most calm, laid back and down to earth. But it's not all smiles, laughs and good humor with Svynn, he does have a serious side to him at times. He's also a very curious being, he loves to learn and this can at times get him into trouble. He prefers not to fight, but will when he's out of options.
Skills:
Syvnn is an expert sharpshooter and served as a ranger for a short time in a few of the other lands he traveled to in the past. He's also quite good at natural magic and he's decent with a sword although he prefers a bow. Music is a love of Svynn's and he can play the lyre. Another talent of Svynn's is that he's rather good at taming animals, especially wolves.
Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin):
Svynn stands at about 5'9 and is tan skinned. His mother had a little bit of High Elf in her bloodline, so Svynn's skintone is lighter then most wood elves. His wardrobe usually consists of a brown cloak, a brown tunic, green pants, brown boots and a pair of black arm-bands that Storn had given him as a gift before he left home. He sports a handsome face and if you were to pull back the cowl of his cloak, his hair is a darker shade of brown with a mysterious white streak. No one knows exactly how the white streak came to be, as he has had it from birth, but many speculate that his father could have had dark elf within his bloodline. His eyes are an emerald shade of green and he has the trademark pointed ears. When speaking, his voice is low in tone with a bit of a rasp. If I could compare it to anyone, his voice would be comparable to that of the actor Jeremy Irons.

1. As you walk through the deep forests you hear the sound of whispering and snickering. Upon inspection you realize that a group of older elves are mocking a small elven child. How do you react?
Answer:
Hypothetical questions? -he asked with a short laugh- well, I would approach the individuals mocking the child and ask about the situation. This is a tough question being the situation could go in many different directions. If I were tell them to stop, they could either stop and apologize or they could tell me to mind my own business. The latter seems like the more possible path the situation could go. -he gave a nod before proceeding- I'm a pacifist, being I follow the Teachings as all elves should, but wood elves, such as myself, also have a saying, "In a forest, a sapling is to be protected the greatest. Be to the child as the gentle breeze and as the generous rain is to the sapling." -he smiled as he finished the quote- therefore, if they were to tell me to mind my own business then I would be persistent in getting them to leave the young child be. And if push came to shove I would fight for the child. -he nodded- sometimes force is a necessary evil.
2. Whilst wandering through the Elven forests you come across a frail old man with a walking stick. He collapses in front of you, falling to the ground with a sharp thud. Out of his pocket falls a small pouch of gold coins, which hits the ground and splits open spreading coins across the pathway. The man lies there, defenseless - what do you do?
Answer: Well, I suppose the obvious answer would be to take the coins. -he shook his head- but that isn't what I would do. I would help the man up and seek help for him of course. And I would make damn sure that every coin is returned to him.
3. Whilst traversing the Elven Woodlands, you come across a small clearing in which a colored carriage sits. A trader stands outside of it and calls you over, telling you of his wares. He points out that his carriage sells just about everything, and that he's willing for you to haggle for a price. What does your character do? (Please include:- item, haggling for prices and the discussion involved).
Knowing Svynn, this is exactly how it would go.
-he advanced toward the colorful carriage, stopping only once to examine it before proceeding- Ah a trader eh? And your wares consist of everything I could ever need? -he said as he gave a nod- might I ask...what kind of spirits do you carry good sir?
Spirits sir? -the trader asked-
Aye spirits, as in alcohol/liquor? -he gave another nod, eyeing the carriage as he spoke- of what kinds do you carry? And would you happen to carry any obsidian on you? I use it for arrow-heads. -he gave a slight chuckle-
Oh -the trader said with a laugh- spirits. I thought you meant ghosts. -he nodded with a kind smile- I do carry obsidian and also arrow shafts. As for the alcohol I carry, I have many different kinds. Most notably the brews from Kal'Azgoth I was lucky enough to get my hands on last week while spending time within the region. Good stuff those Orcs brew, might I interest you in a few bottles? -he asked with an eager nod-
No, no, no I haven't interest in the spirits that haunt you with a "boo" and a well placed wail -he said- my interest lies solely in the spirits that haunt you with a hangover, making you wail in the process. -he said returning the trader's smile with one of his own- Now as for the obsidian. My supply is running awfully low, so if I may, I'll be happy to take some of it off your hands for a reasonable price and a bottle of the Orc-made brew. -he scratched his head for a moment- I'd say 80 mina ought to cover 2 blocks of obsidian and a bottle of the brew. -he nodded- what say you?
Eh make it 100 mina and you have a deal sir -the trader proposed-
-he thought it over for a moment and then nodded once more- Alright, 100 mina it is. I would haggle a bit more with you sir, but I've enjoyed the conversation we've had and 100 mina seems like a fair price for the goods and a good conversation.
Splendid -the trader said happily- follow me sir while I fetch your supplies -he said gesturing toward the carriage-
