In-Character Information: Complete the following biography on your character: Full Name: Beatrix Voisin Current Age: 19 Sub-race (if any): Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): Beatrix was kept very secluded from the outdoors by her mother since she was a young girl. Her uncle, a tall, sturdy man two years passed, was the only salvage she had to cure her longing for adventure. Only being outside a handful of times until she escaped from her trap of a home, Trixie had developed a keen eye and a knack for observance. She was intent on absorbing any and every bit of information she could. She read all sorts of books on different berries and fruits and mushrooms--all sorts of things that she wanted to know about that mysterious, colorful place.
By the time she was prepared to run off with her uncle at her side, he suddenly struck ill and died, leaving Trixie all by herself. But alas, she would never be kept under her mother's rule; in the dead of night, she fled through the cellar window with nothing but a bag on her back and a bit of money she'd snatched from her mother's purse. She roughed her way through towns and wilderness, gaining skill with a shabby bow she'd bartered for in exchange for some medicinal leaves and peaches.
Beatrix continues to build her new life, trading and bartering (and sweet-talking--perhaps eyelash batting) her way to whatever she needs.
Ambitions for the Future: Trixie hopes to further develop her bow skills; her shot isn't the best it could be. She'd perhaps be interested in joining a group, but for now, she's on her own. Personality: She's a very bright, albeit slightly naive girl. She knows how to use her looks to her advantage, and is certainly a bit sassy (not that she'd ever admit that!). Skills: She's good at bow hunting and identifying plants, as well as a bit of cooking--what else was a girl to do stuck at home all that time? She's also gained some quick wit and knowledge of trading and driving a hard bargain. Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin): http://imgur.com/a/uO93o Any other details you wish to share about your character: She's eager for adventure! Open-Response-Questions Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point. ____ 1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do? Answer:
As she rummaged through a bag of freshly picked, bright red apples, a little glimmer caught the young girl's eye--perhaps a buckle of some sorts catching the sun? Briefly, she glanced up, just long enough to spot a shady looking man on a mission to the Emperor's palace. Perhaps... he was delivering news?
His stance struck Beatrix as odd; his gait, his sly movements--what was this man trying to hide? In curiosity, she crept forward, attempting to get a better look. Aware of the guards nearby, she considered shouting, but a nagging voice restrained her.
"A lady never shouts, Beatrix."
With a long sigh, she tiptoed closer, only to drop one of her precious apples! The red gem rolled along the slanted path she was on, and the easily-distracted girl was bouncing after it! 2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react? Answer:
Oh dear... thought Beatrix, clumsily holding the heavy sword as she attempted to readjust the uncomfortable armor. Oh... I am certainly in over my head...
She continued stumbling forward, bursting into a clearing. Already panting from the unwelcomed weight, the young girl spotted a predicament--a poor old man! She had to do something! Those big meanies couldn't hurt him!
With her best efforts, she attempted to march forward to confront the offenders. "Hey! You guys!" she squeaked out, trembling slightly as they turned and glared.
"Nevermind you, girl. Run off and pick your flowers," a bandit replied, though Beatrix held firm.
"I said hey!" she demanded with a stomp of her foot, raising the heavy sword to grab their attention. The clutzy Trixie was thrown off balance by such a noble move of hers, falling back and losing grip on her sword! The heavy thing clunked a bandit in the back of the head, causing him to fall and sprawl out of the porch of the small cottage.
In a small daze, she was just aware enough to see the man's counterpart scampering off, and a rather shaken looking old man.
Oh dear... 3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens). Answer:
There was no good way to hide the smirk on the young lady's face. No set prices. Why, this was right up her alley! "Oh, I don't need much~" cooed Beatrix. "However, I see you've got a few fine arrows there. I'll give you, say... an apple a piece and a rabbit skin for 'em."
"Ha!" the man scoffed, leaving a small pout on the bartering girl's face. "Don't you see the fine craftsmanship of them?" He tugged one out of the wooden tube they were resting in, sliding his fingers along the smooth wood and resting at the sharpened point. "Shark teeth, brought back from the high seas. You'll have to do better, my dear!"
With a small, thoughtful hum, pulled out her offerings. She pulled out an additional rabbit pelt, along with a fine bundle of wheat she'd "gathered" from a nearby farm and a small bag of sugar. "I see you've some milk there," Beatrix mused. "You could make a fine apple pie! And these skins could provide at least a pair of gloves."
"Nay, m'lady," the vendor replied, stroking the feathers at the opposite end. "Finest of-- Are you leaving?"
Beatrix gave a small nod as she started gathering up her things, leaving the vendor stammering and slightly flustered. "Two apples a piece and you've got yourself a deal!"
The young girl walked away with a gleam, her new arrows secured upon her back.
