better. What’s your Minecraft Account
Name?: Lavawalker
How old are you?: 17
What time-zone do you live in?:
(UTC-7:00) Mountain Time
Have you ever roleplayed before -
if you have, how?: I have roleplayed on World of Warcraft, Star Wars Online, a
few "Life" simulators with a group of friends on games such as GTA or
RDR, and a few different Minecraft servers ranging from newbish to 'elite'
servers.
Have you been on any other
roleplaying servers?: Yes.
Have you applied to this server
before?(Please link past applications): No. (Possibly, but I don't remember if
I have.)
How did you hear about us?: I
was looking for a new RolePlaying Server, and stumbled across the
minecraftforums post.
What do you think the server will be like? I try not to
be judgmental. However, when I first saw 'Official #1 RolePlay Server', I
must admit, I thought the community would be a bit elitist. After shoving that
thought out the window, and looking more at the rules and different
applications (Villain, Magic) I believe it will be rather regulated, and very
'pick-your-own-story'.
Have you read and agreed to the
rules?: I have, and do.
What’s your favourite rule / the
rule you agree with the most?: My favorite rule was the one disallowing
anyone to slaughter livestock, this has been a major problem for me, in the
past.
Definitions This is simply so that we can get an
understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. Feel free to Google the
answers, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not another
website / person's! What is
roleplaying?: Roleplaying is creating a persona and becoming it, thinking
and acting exactly as your character would.
What’s metagaming?: Metagaming
is the act of learning information OOC, and using it to ones' advantage IC.
What’s
powergaming?: Powergaming is forcing other players to act according to how
one wishes them to act.
In-Character Information Now you actually make your character -
be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow

called?: Hagan Raserei
What race are they (and sub-race)?: Human-Northerner
What sex are they?: Male
How old are they?: 23
Give us a brief description of
their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when
writing): Alice Shadowhand was born to the 'great' Aronid Shadowhand I, though, if any part of those bedtime stories were true, he was a horrible man, and Shilo Dunn. Apparently Aronid had died during Shilo's pregnancy, and Alice was born out of wedlock. To honor Aronid's name, Alice was given the Shadowhand family heirloom, and his surname. He obviously wasn't dead, or he wouldn't have returned six years later. After nine years, Alice was married off to a man by the name of Sargoth Raserei I. Four years before that, Alice's brother Aronid Shadowhand II was born, and given the family heirloom, because he was a male. This brother had found out at the age of twenty-five that he was sterile, thus he passed on the heirloom to Alice, again. By some miracle, Alice gained her first pregnancy at the age of thirty-five, to this day, it is unknown how such a thing can be possible. During her pregnancy, she was forced to flee to a farm owned by Sargoth's family, due to the war between Savoie and Adunia, in which not only her husband was killed, but her brother as well. He had apparently coerced Sargoth to help him defend a man by the name of Odin Aldus. Her parents were said to have died of old age sometime within five years after the war. Before the war was over, she gave birth to a son, whom she named Hagan. She immediately passed on the Shadowhand amulet, telling Hagan to wear it, even to bed, or rather, hay. Knowing she did not have much more time, she started the boy early, teaching him basic medication techniques, and the Shadowhand style. The Shadowhand style being a fighting technique, focused on improvising weapons. All masters of the Shadowhand style may use any common object as a weapon, yet with equal skill with all. This style is focused more on confusing an enemy, rather than actually being efficient or dealing damage. No one whom knew this style could learn another style, nor could they better any particular weapon. Her bedtime stories told of how her father had conquered many lands, and eventually gained his own castle, yet she also told Hagan of how Aronid had met an old hermit, and served as his dragon. By the age of six, Hagan grew cynical of these stories, and devoted his time to scholarly studies. Alice constantly told him the words "Apathy is death." Every time he heard these words, he thought "She is not a learned woman, how does she even know that word?" But he decided against asking her, she'd probably tell him something about wizards, again. As he grew, he did get into some mischief, often harming himself with experiments, and with every failed experiment, Alice told him a story of Yokaze 'Lowell' Saif. She made him to have been cursed by the gods, for something his ancestor did. Every story merely led to less belief of the child. At age fourteen, his mother died of natural causes, and Hagan had to wonder why humans must die so young, he heard it was a curse from a type of god, yet he disbelieved that, and figured there must be a way to cure death. He set off in search of some type of mentor, eating what plants he knew were edible, and trading medical procedures for cooked food, and a place to sleep. After six years, he came to a small village, sat down on a bench, and said very clearly: "I give up." At that moment, a very old blind man sat down next to him, he turned to Hagan and seemed to stare deep into his soul.
"Can I help you?" Hagan asked, thinking this was going to be a crazy old man, or a beggar.
"I don't believe you can, seeing as you give up." the old man replied.
"You have no clue what I've been through these past six years."
"Don't I?"
"No, you don't." Hagan now new, his first theory was correct.
"Perhaps. But I do know you, grandson of Aronid."
"Oh, wonderful, good to know that his reputation can point me out among a crowd."
"That amulet... it's hard to miss, especially on someone whom looks like a peasant."
"What are the chances someone whom sees this amulet knows what it is, and does not try to steal it from me..." he began to calculate the probability in his head, but was interrupted by the old man.
"You definitely have his demeanor." the old man seemed to look at Hagan with a great sense of nostalgia, now it was time for Hagan to interrupt his thought process.
"His daughter is dead."
"Yes."
"That's all? You have nothing to speculate about? Nothing to ask why I said that?"
"No."
"Did you know she was dead? How do you know her?"
"Yes, and I don't."
"You don't know her, yet you knew she was dead?"
"That would be exactly it, yes."
"I have been trying to cure death, I merely know I'm not significant enough to do so."
"What will you do now, Hagan?"
It didn't cross Hagan's mind as to how this man knew his name, he merely answered with "Nothing. I'm going to live out my days treating people in a small hut, in a small village, like this one."
"Will that make you happy?"
"It will be a better existence than my current one."
"So you will not search for any type of truth?"
"No."
"I see." Those were the last words Hagan heard from the man. The old man set a strange leather-bound book on the bench next to Hagan, and departed.
"Wait! You forgot your book!" The old man had departed without looking back, and to this day, Hagan has never seen him again. He looked to the book and saw a strange symbol on it, one close to the alchemical symbols he had seen before, but he knew this was not an alchemy symbol. He flipped open the book, and it opened to a page it was forced to, due to a folded piece of paper acting as a book mark. He opened the paper, and read the three words on it, "Apathy is Death." He dropped the book in startle, and spoke aloud as he realized "My mother couldn't write this legibly, let alone spell this well." He pondered for twenty hours on that bench, fell asleep, and when he woke, he had his mind made up. He would study this book, and follow its teachings as a religion. The book did contain a type of Alchemy, but instead of magics, it showed him how to use strange methods of curing, it was a type of medical book. After three years, he had barely finished the book, and still had much to learn from it. Even so, he decided to leave his small hut, in this small village. He picked up the tome, walked outside, and said as he grinned: "The Shadowing Method" Thinking he was clever, he said his goodbyes to the people of the village, and headed for the human capital, confident in his mad obsession with this book.
What are they like
(personality)?: Hagan is very narcissistic, believing he is smarter than everyone he meets. Though he'll be right about many, he refuses to believe when he is bested in intelligence. Due to spending so much time of his studies, he is often oblivious to social situations, such as sadness or even flirtatious, he is also very blunt, to the point of asking random strangers as to the consistencies of their 'biological movements'. He has much sleep deprivation, and has been caught falling asleep while walking, waking up as he reaches his destination. He will continue to listen to people, even if he is very bored, or in a rush. He sees much pride in his family heritage, and keeps his amulet on at all times. He has grown much respect for women, and is often getting into fights for defending them. Anyone who has enough patience to become a friend in the eyes of Hagan will have him at their disposal.
What are their
ambitions?: Hagan wishes to meet the descendants of people from his mother's bedtime stories, and spread the light of his religionistic science.
Do they have any special
skills?: He is able to use any hard object as a weapon, with all the same amount of skill. He also has a 'different' type of medical knowledge, which uses strange methods.
What are their
weaknesses?: Though he's able to use any hard object as a weapon, his variety comes at a price, which is the inability to master any weapon, or grow in skill higher than mediocre (He can hit hard with a sword, but he's not going to cut anything.) He is unable to fend for himself very well, and is often required to trade for types of nourishment. His strange methods of medical science require many different reagents, instead of simple herbs.
Give us a description of how they
look (not a screenshot yet!)?: He dresses in peasant rags, which looks very strange because of his family amulet being made of emerald. He has auburn eyes, brown hair, pale-ish skin, and stands at 6'0"
Anything else you want to say about
them?: ((Any talk of magic in this app is not meant to be taken seriously, it's merely an inside joke for my group of friends, and each of us will refer to them as some type of fairy-tale. Also, the part about the war was added only because of the requirement of lore in backstory, I'm still a bit confused about the timelines.))
