History Donovan, the only son of Danen and Alys, was born in the Northern city of Abresi. His father, a guard of the city's watch, struggled to earn enough Minas to, and whatever he earned was usually spent at The Owl's Hearth inn. The lack of a steady upbringing and a strong male role model resulted in a harsh childhood. His father died of reasons unknown, presumably from alcohol poisoning; his mother followed suit. With no family to support him, young Donovan (7 years old) was soon evicted from the pitiful excuse of a house and spent the next five years begging and thieving in the slums of Abresi. He miraculously managed to teach himself to read and write, a somewhat great deed for a boy of his social background. His favourite tomes included the 'The Great Collapse', and the 'History of the Grandaxes', both written by the dwarf Bazian Grandaxe. Many of the tomes that he read inspired him to be someone of importance and intellect. After five years in the Abresian slums, Donovan was rescued by a passing knight, who recognized the boy's abilities and took him as his unofficial squire. He remained as the knight's squire for the following four years, during which he was taught how to handle a sword, proper armour maintenance as well as the knight's own code of chivalry. Upon becoming of age, Donovan, left the knight's service and was given a small reward for his service. He returned to the city of Abresi, and has ever since been trying to make a name for himself.

He is honest, loyal to those he supports and views as friends, but has a reserved, somewhat cold personality. He is a person who will not hesitate to commit to something if he has made a promise to do so. He can also be seen as quite stubborn. What are their ambitions?: - As a man of poor social background and little material wealth, Donovan aspires to be make it up the social hierarchy. Donovan also aspires to decrease poverty and injustice in his home city. He can rather easily weld a sword and a shield and wear and maintain a set of armour. He is also a skilled thief. What are their weaknesses?: - Because of his amibitions to become an affluent person, Donovan will try anything to achieve this. He can be harsh and unforgiving, especially to some members of the nobility.
