What is Meta-gaming?: using knowledge you character has no way of knowing. for example your friend tells you the co-ords to his base OOC'ly and you go there without your character having any way of knowing where it is. What is Powergaming?: Powergaming is presuming or declaring that your actions are successful without giving the other character the chance to act. i.e. you say "i behead you" without letting the other player do anything about it like dodging/blocking. Sub-Race: Dark elf What sex are they?: Male How old are they?: 250 Back-story: (i would like to apologies in advance for my spelling and grammatical errors i know i will make then because i am dyslexic) I am Elandros Marok. i was born in the tiny village of Madainia. i lived fairly peacefully until the undead came. my family fled to Laurelin and i with them. when we got to Laurelin i stayed while my family fled Aegis. my hesitance to leave saved me because the ship my family was on never made it to Asulon. i left with one of the last ships to leave and on that ship i befriended a middle-aged human named John-Smith who taught me how to make a Potion Of Healing. after a long voyage i got to Asulon and learned of my family's death. Swearing to protect the weak in the name of my Father, Corinth Marok, i honed my skills with the blade and bow and took up Monster Hunting to practice my skills daily and getting over my grief (succeeding for the most part) Eventually we sailed onward to Anthos and that, my friend, is where you meet me now. for the rest of my story has yet to be told... Definitions What is RPing?: Playing your character like you are him i.e. not knowing you friend is actually a changing when your friend's character sheet says he is and you have read said char sheet. What is Meta-gaming?: using knowledge you character does not have but you do. for my example above. so you have read your friend's character sheet and it says he is a changeling but your character has no way of knowing he is and you then use your character to recommend you friend's character to change into a thing.(I am out of breath now!) What is Powergameing?: playing for Maximum progress to a goal without consideration for other things like adventure or RP.(there are more but I wont list them here) i.e. there's a puzzle that the actual you COULD solve but your character has a low INT. stat and you still solve it anyway even though your character couldn't solve it. I was full grown by then the day my family died. we had just sailed from Elysium when the boat they were on burned. the only reason I did not die with them was because there wasn't enough room on the ship my family was on.(I hope that I am right in the assumption that there was more than one ship per race) i still don't know what started the fire but i wish it hadn't happened. anyway I did a few things to try and make a living. mining and farming were a few. but i couldn't stay when i knew others were in need and i wanted no-one else to suffer like i had to after my family died. so i WILL do my best to stop others from suffer.(sorry i know this is not an amazing backstory but i put a lot of effort into the typing(i am dyslexic(PARENTHASES SEPTION))) What are they like?: heroic to a fault.
