Your entire point rests on the assumption that this is true, it isn't. I win. Most nations haven't even had the chance to fully make their cities and there's RP almost all the time, unlike most of the freebuild ghost towns I've already seen.

Believe it or not It's harder to make a city than a shitty shack in the middle of nowhere.

Freebuild was only even put in the ******* server on the condition that they wouldn't have some OOC bullshit protection. But like I always said, give people an inch and they'll take 1200 miles.

You and I have been playing on a very different server, then. There is no such thing as a freebuild ghost town thus far. I've never not seen anyone RPing at the crossroads. The cities? I have warp. I go around to those cities all the time. I've seen maybe three people.

"Shitty OOC bullshit protection", eh? How about nation protection? Nations have been around as long as they have because they are wired into the server as immortal. I don't know if you played the last two maps, but nations failed. Both maps, they failed to provide RP.

I understand partially your hesitance to open freebuild to unlimited protection. I agree. But the idea of "no raid cap and unlimited destruction" will only lead to OOC toxicity. If we're going to do anything even remotely close to that, then settlements that can sustain activity should be given the opportunity to receive protection. The answer, however, is not to say "**** freebuild m-muh nations must continue". Instead, work to improve your nation so that you can actually sustain activity. Freebuild thus far has brought back a ton of old players who missed the system. By spouting off that it is a cancer to the server, you're immediately driving players away. If you want more RP, a good start is to have more RPers, not try to force everyone into an area they hate.

Discord(‘You got it’ does not suffice): Conspirator_#3881

    Timezone(s) you mainly play: EST

What group/nation do you consider to be your main? Paladins and Elves

Have you held a staff position before? I have- AT and MT.

Do you currently hold a staff position? I do not.

Do you plan on applying for other staff positions? Not in the near future, no.

Have you ever been banned before? If so, how long ago and what reason? Yes. I was banned for two weeks for griefing about 4 years ago.

What style of events do you feel you enjoy creating? (Low Fantasy, High Fantasy, Quests, Dungeons, etc.) Some of my favorite events have been either high fantasy, questing, or a mix of the two.

List three factors you feel play a part in a quality event and expand upon them.

Dynamic and Engaging Storyline- Some events have a tendency to feel very scripted. As a player, there feels like there is nothing you can do against x, y, and z. One of the best and easiest ways to correct this on the ET's side is to start with a well-drawn up creature or event line. Before you start any event, you should have at least thought out what would happen if a player did this, or if someone didn't do this. When a player's actions actually have a visible effect on what occurs in the storyline, they're more likely to enjoy it and want to partake in more events. All this to lead into my next point-

Flexibility or extemporaneity on the part of the ET- One of the most damaging things any ET could do is write a script. While it's important to have a plan, a script lays out every single line and thing anyone does. The problem with that? Depending on the size of the event, you have a group of 'actors' who didn't read the script, didn't practice their lines, and don't know where to stand on stage. It'll lead to a disaster of a play, and certainly a disaster of an event. That's why the best way for an ET to manage an event is to proactively respond and adapt their plans and outlines to match the player's actions. It'll create an excellent sense of immersion, which leads into my final point.

Immersion- So far I've laid out two general ideas that'll help the players to enjoy an event. However, I believe it's equally important for the ET to enjoy the event. From my experience, people give their best roleplay when they're enjoying themselves. I enjoy my RP most when I have a well-developed character. How to do this? Immerse yourself in whatever you're playing- whether a massive fricking dragon, some random homuniculi, or a force of nature. You'll give your best possible roleplay, and the players will hopefully respond well and enjoy your event.

Which member(s) of the team would you attempt to emulate and why? To be completely honest, I don't know many people on the team. However, from what I've heard, Papa Lima has done an excellent job as an active. I could definitely reflect his pro-activeness in hosting events.

Provide three event scenarios, in total, of the style(s) you listed above:

    High Fantasy-

At the edges of the woods of Malinor, a middle-aged elf, his wife, and his child would move into a small shack with the intent of starting a farm. Mysteriously, the plot of land which the building resided on would break off from the earth and rise into the sky, causing a small earthquake to be felt within the city. For those who went out to investigate, they would find a rope that led up to the shack, which was now be covered in a dark fog and was unable to be seen. Those who climbed up the rope to the shack would be confronted with a creature, twisted by some unknown magic. The man, the child, and the wife would seem to have almost melted, joining together into a disgusting conglomerate of flesh. The creature would be hostile, and the players would have to defeat it. Upon its death, it would disintegrate and the floating island would begin to rumble. They would have a certain amount of time to escape or fall with the rest of the mass crashing back to earth.

    Questing-

In the snowy mountains of Ceru, a massive landslide of snow and rock would occur for no known reason. After the dust cleared, a scout for a nearby explorer's guild would be sent out over the affected area to search for anything interesting. As he walked up the hill where the debris fell, his foot would go through the snow and ice with a loud snap. Soon after came the rest of his body as whatever he had stepped on fell inward, causing him to fall the rest of the twenty feet to the floor below. He was crushed and killed in the accident, but as dusk set the rest of his party went out to find him, discovering the drop and his body. They climbed down, and found a massive labyrinth left untouched for centuries. Knowing they had not enough men to explore the construct, they set up a booth in Sutica to build up a team of men and women willing to help them explore. The labyrinth would be warded to stop all magic, the walls of a material unknown to the Descendants that none of their tools could damage, and full of traps, puzzles, and mobs. The players could get a hold of a few items, and at the end would be paid a small fee from the explorer's company for their service.

    Mix-

Above the halls of Kal'Omith a dark shadow would be seen flying ever so often, scaring animals into their holes and children to cling to their mothers. An old dwarf would wander into the city, laying out a blanket and sitting down. He would tell his story to any who would listen, that of he as an hermit whose mountains were invaded by a wyvern. He'd give them the location of the cave, promising them whatever may be found within and a small reward of his own would be their's if they killed the creature. Within the cave he said was a massive mother wyvern, ferociously guarding two massive hatching eggs. The invaders would be faced with the fight of their lives, having to brave fire and claws to receive their reward. Upon its death and the destruction of the eggs, a smaller opening behind the nest could be seen filled with ancient sets of armor and weapons that the wyvern had collected. Most are decrepit, but a few could be salvaged. They would also have access to anything from the corpse of the wyvern. Upon returning to the old man, he would rise and give them many thanks. He'd offer each of them an old piece of jewelry that he claims were his wife's, leaving Kal'Omith to return to the wilds.

Why do you wish to become an ET Actor Member? For a long time, I've always enjoyed taking part in events- from the massive world events to a small hunting party with the Paladins. They offer a unique and excellent way to develop a character. On a couple of occasions, I've done a player event for a few of my friends and enjoyed hosting it immensely. Obviously, the best way to be given more opportunities is joining the ET.

In addition, since Vailor and my time immediately after leaving the MT I've felt as if I could do more for the server. Unfortunately, I never felt I had a chance to make my way back into any sort of position with responsibility. I made a mistake with how I served on MT and AT, as I never really was proactive. In both of those instances, I left suddenly and without very good reason after a very lackluster time on the team. I never volunteered myself to do more, and I regret that now. I'd like to have ET as my second chance in staff to really become a valued member of LotC staff.

What strengths would you bring to the team? I'm quite organized, and very devoted when I put my mind to something. In addition, I think I'm good with managing people, and being neutral to both sides of a conflict.

What are your weaknesses? I have a tendency to loose interest in things quickly. In addition, I sometimes react poorly to overbearing meme-ing and shitposting.

How much time could you give to this position in the foreseeable future? In the near future, I will have a good bit of extra time to dedicate to LotC due to the holiday break. Once school starts back, I'll have to juggle extra-curricular activities, school work, and LotC again. However, I usually have at least an hour or two every night that I can spend on LotC, and more if I stay up late.

    Feedback is appreciated!

  3. The Wyvernbane would pause at the notice, reading over the contents with a look of shock. He would pull a small sheet of paper from his satchel, scribbling out a response to pin next to the first notice in charcoal. It would read, "If the reward is also granted for his capture and turning over to Aeldinic forces for his execution, I will prepare a team."

Banning them? Let's not ban people for that, a warning for first offences and possible villainy blacklists for further offences should be used. Bans are last resorts and should never be used unless needed, we can't enforce rules through fear.

You get my point though. More-so just making it punishable.

Tbh, that isn't an issue in my opinion so long as the person went through the proper RP to do that. IE, count how many members are in the order and emote sending an owl/bird to each one before sending the message on discord/skype. That way if a city is being attacked a guard has to RP sending birds so the raiders have a chance to stop him.

Which I did. In my personal opinion, keep the system as if with a few added rules. Make it bannable to not properly RP a bird. They can still be sent and all that, just actually have to RP it. With all these plugins and ****, they will be broken 100% of the time. We just saw our own coder saying they don't want to do it. And if we remove it outright? Messengers would pretty much never be used and we'd practically just be expanding the problem than fixing it.

  6. Personally in my biased opinion, I'd like to see the orders receive their own lands- even if a small plot. However, this doesn't have to be server dictated- for example, the orders could all play politics and gain land within a pre-existing nation.

However, I do agree with Jack's point- the orders (in most cases) don't hang around together in a city and roleplay, because the majority of our RP comes from interactions with spooks. We don't get that inside our respective keeps- we get that from going outside. At least in the Paladin's case, the base/region has always acted more as a staging ground for crusades, place to train students one-on-one, and a place to keep our connection pool (chancery).

My last point relates back to the first, though- we don't "require" staff granted regions to exist. The politics of getting land within a nation is very plausible, as is our applying for a guild charter once 6.0 is actually launched.

What is NOT plausible at the moment, though, is likely a collective of the three main orders. Farryn and Jallentime pretty accurately described the political scene- we aren't very willing to work with each other at the moment. I agree with Farryn that we should let RP fall as it may, and if we're granted land then great.

  7. I've been with Jack since Athera, and I've seen him go from one of the (for real though) most toxic people I've ever met to a decent-ish guy. He's pretty chill most of the time, but I have to agree he's still prone to freak out. While yes, he is VERY committed to a task when he starts, he also has a habit of just.. dropping them, and completely stepping out of it. I'm stuck in the middle on this one, but I thought I'd give a bit of feedback. +0 from me.

  8. The Wyvernbane would pace by one of the advertisements in his many travels, halting to read its contents. He'd tilt his head a bit, ripping the notice off the tree it was nailed to and pacing off. As he continued down the road, he would draw his sword silently, running it through one of the messenger ghouls as he went.

  9. Hello, denizens of Axios.

I need two skins made; 1k per request. If the skinner would like to discuss a higher payment, I'd be open to that depending on how difficult they prove. The skins only need to be the outifts- I don't need a head for them. Anywho, here are my two requests.

    1. My first request is an armor set based off these two images. [1] [2] All I need made is the version of the skin with the helmet- I can remove the helmet and put the other head on it myself. This is likely the most difficult of the two requests, so if needed I can certainly pay a bit more.

    2. My second request is a piece of pretty basic casual clothing based on this image. [1] Again, I only need the head. You can leave the color of the skin blank too and I can do that edit myself. I believe this skin only really needs 1k for it, but talk to me if it caused you any major difficulties.

My Discord is Conspirator_#3881. Post on this topic and send me a PM on discord if you'd like to do one of my requests. Thanks you guys! :mexican:

(forgot to put this in original post, but send over some examples of ya work too c:)

  10. I agree minus the insults. Sorry Star, you're a chill dude but I've seen you loose your temper several times over situations that really didn't call for it. And from logs I have seen, you made no attempt to resolve the problem- you just retreated to mudslinging and tin-foil hat conspiracy theories. Take a bit of time to learn to control your temper, mate. -1
