What is roleplaying?: To act or speak as someone else, a fictional character or a character of your own creation
What’s metagaming?: - - An out of character action or conversation that makes use of knowledge that the character does not know of.
What’s powergaming?: - Powergaming is when you have your character's action deny the action of another character that you are roleplaying with. For example, someone could have thrown a rock at your character and you could say that the rock hit you but you still manages to move and get away.

Character Description:
Name: Nessa Felagund
Race and Sub-race: Elf, woof elf
Age: 87
Sex: Female
History: She was born in Asulon 35 years before the Fall. Both of her parents were wood Elves. Nessa’s mother died in childbirth. Her father named her after her mother, promising to love her until he died. Nessa and her father lived together for 17 years before her father began to take her into the mines with him when he worked. He taught her how to mine. Her father made her her own pick and they would go into the mine from mid-morning and be there until late at night, her father teaching her what kind of stones and gems where what. But as time went on, her father began to change. He began drinking, blaming Nessa for all of his problems, including her mother’s death. When he drank, her father was prone to fits of rage. He often beat her into unconsciousness. Nessa slowly went from loving her father, to fearing him, to hating him. Finally after 13 years of putting up with her father and how he treated her, Nessa had had enough. She devised a plan, and caused an explosion in the mine where her father worked, killing him and 2 other men. At age 32, Nessa was alone. She continued living in her father’s house for many years, starting to mine as a way to make money and pass the time. Nessa would help anyone she met, giving away gems she found or offering a place of refuge to anyone she met- friend or foe, stranger or neighbor. Nessa stayed in her father’s house until a few weeks before the Fall, when she was kidnapped by a group of human superiorists known as the White Roses. During her imprisonment, she was held in dark tunels of old abandoned mines and fed very little food or water. Nessa, along with dozens of other captives, were bathed and given fresh clothes before they were tortured and then would be given time to heal before the cycle repeated itself. She stayed there captive in slavery for 15 years until she finally escaped and moved to the infantile Land of Anthos. Nessa moved into the Lich’s woods when she arrived and built a house in the trees. She has lived in Anthos for the last 37 years meeting and helping others and mining up until the present day.
Personality: Nessa has difficulties trusting people. She loves to help, despite not trusting easily. Nessa is a kind and gentle person by nature but she does have a righteous vengeance within her. She is open minded to many different things, all but two- lying and drinking. To her, there is no excuse for either. Because of this, Nessa is a brutally honest person and likewise sober, never having drank a drop of alcohol in her life. When Nessa is alone, she likes to paint or sing to herself, as it helps pass the time when she is not mining. She enjoys reading and occasionally writing, as she keeps a diary.
Ambitions: Nessa does not really have any ambitions. She simply wants to live her life as best as she can and help an many people along the way as possible.
Special Skills: Nessa is very artistic- her home is filled with books and chests filled with drawings and paintings she has done.
Weaknesses: Physically Nessa has a moderate amount of weaknesses. She is very slim, and tall. She is not good when it comes to combat. Mentally Nessa has a strong wit but when any mention of her family arises or when she finds out she has been lied to Nessa is nearly incapacitated.
Physical description: Nessa is tall and very slim. She has long reddish-brown hair and fair skin. Her eyes are two different colors- bright blue and warm brown. She has the typical long ears of an elf, and she dons a white dress that has a studded white belt around her waist.
