I have role-played on multiple websites and other Minecraft servers. I am also an actress and do a lot of improv in real life, so I like to think that that counts as a but of experience. Have you been on any other roleplaying servers?: - Yes, I have. Have you applied to this server before? (Please link past applications): - No, this is my first application. How did you hear about us?: - I was looking for a good, serious and fun RP server, and google led me here. (I was also drawn by the name. I always investigate anything similar to Lord of The Rings.) What do you think the server will be like? - I'm hoping it will be a friendly server with Have you read and agreed to the rules?: - Yes, I have. What’s your favourite rule / the rule you agree with the most?: - The rules about leaving unattractive structures all over the place. I know that I get a little irritated when I see trees floating all over the place. If you are going to cut down a tree, cut down the whole tree. Also, when I see nerd poles all over the place or random stair-case like things cut into the ground, I always cringe a little bit. Definitions This is simply so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. What is roleplaying?: - Roleplaying is acting as another person, and responding to your surroundings and those who interact with you the way your character would. It combines things like acting, improvisation, storytelling, and in most cases writing. What’s metagaming?: - Metagaming is when your character uses information that they should not know to their advantage. For example, if you hear someone tell you their character's biggest secret OOCly, you would be metagaming if your character used that secret in RP. What’s powergaming?: - Powergaming is controlling another character with your own character's actions. For an example of power gaming, a character might emote something like- 'Rila kicks him square in the chest, sending him flying backwards and into the window. The window cracks and breaks, and he falls out and lands amongst the sharp shards.' To fix this, the character could emote something more like- 'Rila kicks him square in the chest, attempting to push him back and through the glass window.' In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play. Zoey began her life in a small house away from any other villages or towns. If she was anywhere near any other people, Zoey had no way of knowing since she almost never left the house. Zoey's parents were incredibly protective of her. They knew that they most likely would never be able to have another child since her mother was already getting close to 500. It was a miracle she had Zoey at all so, you can't really blame them for never wanting to let her out of their site. But Zoey did. She wanted adventure, she wanted to meet people, and see the world. She strongly believed that the way to gain knowledge was through living life and experiencing things, not sitting in a library with a book in hand. So she explored wherever she could- the yard, the woods behind her large house, and just about everything else she could find without her parents finding out. Zoey never felt satisfied though, for soon all the trees had been climbed and every flower had been seen.
One desperate night, she decided that enough was enough. She needed get out of the house and out into the world, and nothing was going to stop her. So, she simply packed up her things and left while her parents were asleep. Zoey tried to be as prepared as she could be, but she didn't really have time to think over what she might need what she left. The final inventory was a quiver of arrows, her bow, and a leather bag with a small knife, food, and a long-sleeved jacket.
Zoey still doesn't like to talk about her parents. She feels bad for leaving them, but she still feels that it was what she needed to do. Sadness and longing for her parents and her old home always seemed to rest just beneath her smile, but she mustered up her strength and shoved it as far back into her mind as it could go. This made her the person she is today- hiding everything with smiles and laughs, running away at full speed when serious subjects arose, and avoiding love for the fear of being trapped again.
What are they like (personality)?: - Zoey is a social being, who loves to cause mischief and make friends. She tried to say 'hello' to everyone she sees, even the most unlikely characters. She tends to ask a lot of questions, since she wants to learn everything there is to learn about the world. (She doesn't know much at the moment.) Whenever serious subjects start popping up, Zoey will turn it into a joke or avoid it at all costs. What are their ambitions?: - Zoey wants to see the world, make friends, and meet people other than just elves. There is also something, although buried deep inside her, that wants to see her parents again. Do they have any special skills?: - Zoey is really good with a bow, and she is really fast and good at climbing. She loves to sing and dance, and considers herself pretty good at that, as well. What are their weaknesses?: - While she isn't weak, she isn't incredibly strong. She also is not very good with a sword. Swords feel awkward in her hands, and they make her arms feel unbalanced and too long. Zoey also has a small issue with attachment. When makes good friends, she will slowly get so attached that whenever they are hurt or in pain, Zoey will most likely go crazy trying to fix things for them. She could also be driven to tears, in some cases. Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: - Zoey has long, bright red hair that curls around the edges. Her eyes are big and blue, with black eyelashes framing them. She stands at about 5'11", with long limbs and very tan skin. She wears a black leather shirt underneath a long green sweater with no sleeves, shorter in the front and longer in the back. Her pants are a dark tan-grey color, and her boots are black and made of soft leather. (She tends to go barefoot most of the time, however.) Her hands are partially covered by black gloves that she ripped the fingers off of. Anything else you want to say about them?: - Nope.
