To me its seems like in a lot of role playing servers, the players just run around collecting levels and getting themselves stronger, they are not interested in the true role playing experience Have you read and agreed to the rules?: - indeed What’s the rule you agree with the most?: - I think the most agreeable rule is the one about player harassment/blackmail etc. I think people should be kind and genuine to other players even if there characters are on different sides. What is roleplaying?: - Role playing is performing a role of a particular character in a specific setting, going through life as that person and having new experiences as well as gaining knowledge and understanding of the particular world. What’s metagaming?: - Pretty much taking advantage of game mechanics or using outside sources to benefit in an unfair way. What’s powergaming?: - Power gaming is finding cheap ways to put you above the other players in unfair ways. Most lore can be found on our wiki.): - Elrik was born in the great city of Luminaire. His mother had deserted him when he was the age of 3, leaving him with only his father, a peddler who traveled all throughout the land selling goods. His father could not quit being a merchant to take care of his son, so his only choice was to bring Elrik along on his long journeys. So for many years that was how they lived their lives. During that time Elriks father taught him much about the art of trading, and how to do good business. At the age of 12 though, Elrick and his father were traveling to the great Human city of Abresi. They were soon scheduled to arrive when suddenly, their caravan was attacked my a group of hired mercenaries after Elriks father. His father was keeping his huge accumulated debt a secret from him, and the fact that he could never pay it off. All he could hope was to flee with his son to the Human city to try and live in peace. Elrik had always thought his father was a very successful merchant, but soon he came to realize it was the exact opposite. After his father was slain by the band of mercenaries, one particular warrior saw him and felt sorry for the child. After consulting with the the other members, they forced Elrik to come along with no intention of hurting him. They brought him back to their hideout in the outskirts of Luminuire. After a few years, Elrik still had much hate for the killers of his father, but realized the unfairness of life and how they were only hired to slay his father because of his fathers own failure and dishonestly as a merchant. After spending years training with the mercenaries, the group expected him to join with them. But excluding his good bond he had built with the one mercenary who found him, he still had much hatred for them, so he abandoned them at the age of 16. He would spend the next 3 years stealing to survive, he had still retained his skills as a merchant that he learned from his father, so he would steal anything of worth and sell it at a high price to shady buyers Though he promised himself he would never become a failure like his father was. Elrik has become a victim of his tragic past and developed much skill as a rouge merchant. What are they like? (personality): - Elrik is normally very quiet and keeps to himself. Often this is because he has some shady plan up his sleeve. He is a good judge of character and only makes friends with people he thinks are trustworthy, which there are very few people in his eyes. This is hypocritical considering he is a thief, but he is honest to his friends and tries not to steal things that help people survive, only treasure and expensive luxury items mostly from rich people. What are their ambitions?: - He wishes to one day find his mother but he doesn't even remember what she looks like. Other than that he would like to become a legit merchant instead of always selling stolen goods, but he has made quite a name for himself already in the criminal world as the go to guy for stolen valuables. He also would like to learn magic but does not know where to begin Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses? (Try to list a few of both): - Skills: He is an exceptional thief, and has never been caught once. Simply because he doesn't take any risks when it comes to stealing, he will assassinate if he must as opposed to being caught. He is also handy with a sword and and a bow which he learned to use from his previous mercenary companions. Weaknesses:Hes very emotionally weak because of his past. He tries to push all him emotion down inside of him but it always backfires on him and he sometimes breaks down. He also cant help himself when someone ticks him off, hell take a swing and sometimes even draw his blade. This often gets him in a lot of trouble. Sometimes hell pick a fight with someone much stronger than him and get beat up pretty bad. He can be way to overconfident in his fighting skills. His distrust is another one, sometimes he wont listen to anyone even if there trying to help him. He is extremely stubborn and will argue until it becomes a fight. Give us a description of how they look?: - Elrik is pretty much your typical dark elf with blue eyes and white hair. He has darkish grey skin and wares a green tunic with green and brown pants.
