Do you understand combat rules, and what you can and can’t do if you do choose to roleplay as a villain?:- Yes. Among other things, both parties must give fair warning before attacking, both must consent on whether it will be done via RP or actual fighting, and villains do not have a blank check to go around killing everyone and burning the map to the ground; They are doing the things they do to ADD fun to the server, not subtract it. Also, with the exception of torture, guards do NOT need a VA to do their jobs, and people are entitled to defend themselves and others, but should kill as a LAST RESORT.
Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?(If so maybe we can help clear it up! You will not be denied for having a question on the rules):- 2 come to mind. 1. why do we need a VA just for lockpicking? surely people like locksmiths, security guards, spies, etc. would have a use for it for utilitarian rather than nefarious purposes? 2. Is block-jumping permissible if I get stuck in a hole or lost in a cave?
Definitions

What is roleplaying?: - Adopting the mannerisms of a ficional character, and acting as that character with others who are doing the same with the goal of mutual entertainment.
What’s metagaming?: - Utilizing real world gained knowledge that your character would have no in universe justification for knowing, like a movie character watching the next scene in the movie and using that knowledge to save his friend from dying (permissible in that case if done by time travel or for comedic value, but neither of those apply here).
What’s powergaming?: - Acting in an unbeatable, all powerful away that does not give a chance for the opposing party to fight back.
In-Character Information
Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that you follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

How old are they?: - 62 (due to healthy living and tonics he is physically in his late 30's to early 40's)
Give us a highlight of their past, What life events make your character the person they are today? This is your character's biography. It is also required to include server lore when writing. (Names of towns, major server events, ect. Most lore can be found on our wiki.): - Many years ago in Asulon, his ancestor lived a simple life. But when the plgaue hit, he felt he had to do something. He fell in with a group of plague doctors, and, despite having little medical knowledge, he donned the leather overcoat and gas mask and did what he could to help; paperwork, heavy lifting, running supplies and the like became the norm for him as he slowly but surely picked up some of their knowledge and began to help them out in the field. The things he had to do to keep the plague from spread, from tearing ill children from their mothers, enforcing quarantine zones with force (sometimes lethally), and burning piles of infected corpses permanently left scars upon his mind. When the plague finally broke, he spend the rest of life acting as a doctor and doing medical research. He was never the top of his field or a famous face, but he helped save lives, and that was good enough for him. Over the years almost all his descendants had at least a foot in the medical life; not all were doctors, but nearly all of them had at least a relatively decent knowledge of medicine regardless of their primary occupation. Vel was no exception, being a local doctor and alchemist, researching cures and treatments and generally doing his best to keep people alive. Unlike many of his family since their ancestor, he has taken the mantle of plague doctor, and put his knowledge to use during Khorvod's Grip, during which he researched a cure. He was only able to make a tonic that eased pain and fever, and was glad when Onar Ireheart and the High Elves made a cure. During the battle with The Scourge he helped tend the wounded and escaped through the doorway to The Thales. During his life he has traveled somewhat, looking for new plants and the like for his work. He hasn't travel to too far off the beaten path, almost never leaving human lands, but he is slowly but surely expanding his comfort zone.
What are they like? (personality): - A bit absent minded, slightly bumbling, but kind hearted, inteligent a bit more "posh" than most, Vel prefers wine to ale, books to minstrels, and speaks a bit more eloquently than others, and enjoys the comforts of a glass of wine, a good book, a soft bed and a warm fire at night with the rain pattering on the windows and roof. A good man, he cannot stand to see others in pain, and his desire to help has gotten him tricked more than once, so he is slightly more wary than he used to be. He has a hatred for those who employ disease as a weapon, and those who control such things through black magic, and despises necromancers for their desecration of the dead.
What are their ambitions?: - To help people, become a great alchemist, travel far, isolate the compound in milk responsible for curing poison.
Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses? (Try to list a few of both): - Vel is a man of a scholarly bent, and as such is well versed in the lore of alchemy, botany, herbology, and medicine. He is, however, a bit bumbling, a bit naive, and not very good in a fight. But perhaps his greatest strength is his acceptance of mankind's curse. Well aware of Horen's mistakes, he views death as tragic, but ultimately unavoidable, and see's recklessly seeking immortality as a weakness of character, being afraid and running from what should must simply be accepted. Although he does not want to die and would indeed be afraid of doing so, he believes that mankind's curse of a short lifespan has given them a blessing of sorts as well, the drive to soar to new heights, accomplish the impossible, and make up for the lack of length in their lives with a depth that no other race can match. Also, his outfit and mask offer him protection from disease. His mask would normally filter out things like poison gas, ashes, dust and the like, but he has been unable to secure the materials for proper filters, leaving meaning he only has cotton soaked in antibiotics to kill diseases before they reach his lungs.
Give us a description of how they look?: - Black hair, brown eyes, which are hidden behind a gas mask. 6 feet tall, moderate build, wearing a waxed/rubberized black and brown leather plague doctors coat.
