Please define them so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. What is roleplaying?: - Playing a specified role along with other people playing other roles to make a full community and immersing yourself in one, full, dynamic character. Your characters traits will directly interact with other characters traits. What’s metagaming?: - Using outside knowledge to contribute unjustly to in-game knowledge, e.g. taking OOC chat and taking the info you know from OOC and using it in RP. An example would be seeing someone's name on the HUD, yet "meeting them for the first time" them and not knowing their name in RP. What’s powergaming?: - When you use the roleplay system to do something unfairly, giving the other party little to no ways of countering. E.g. (A name) stabs AND KILLS (another name). As another example, if I am hogtied down I cannot cut the ropes with lasers from my eyes. In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that you follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play. What’s your character called?: - Lagorúthon Dúon What race are they? (and sub-race if applicable): - Dark Elf What gender are they?: - Male How old are they?: - 50 Give us a highlight of their past, What life events make your character the person they are today? This is your character's biography. It is also required to include server lore when writing. (Names of towns, major server events, ect. Most lore can be found on our wiki.): - Lagorúthon was born during a harsh winter blizzard on the outskirts of Darkhaven, where his mother Axalotl died giving birth to him. His father, a guard, (name unknown) was never there to take care of him. Lagorúthon looked up to the guard; they were his role models and heroes. He lived and learned on the streets, begged and borrowed until his father was killed during a battle protecting a distant town. At first hating the guard and blaming them on his absent father's death, his last and only family, he became a wreckless free soul. Turning to petty theft and minor crimes to survive, Lagorúthon went down a road of darkness. He justified his actions as vengeance for his father's death for the guard. As Lagorúthon traveled farther and farther down this dark path, he got caught up with criminals and bandits, who shared a common opinion of the guard, an opinion that Lagorúthon's mind would morph into his own: a vision of vile, controlling vermin. These were the men that killed his father. One night, caught in a blind rage, Lagorúthon got in a fight with a bandit leader over a dispute of loot. Gold. And lots of it. The brawl was watched by the rest of the bandit tribe, and Lagorúthon ended up the victor; by means of beheading the bandit leader with his steel dagger. With the bandits now hunting him, and living a life in the darkness, Lagorúthon had no where to turn to. His actions were still anonymous to the guard; he was not wanted. Yet if he didn't join them or at least fall under their protection, he was sure to be murdered by blood-thirsty bandits. Deeply conflicted and in debt to either side, he decided to turn his life around for the greater good. He had came to his senses when he met his true love Alguina. Alguina nurtured him back to health, physically and mentally, and persuaded him to use his talents and strength as a fighter to become one of the guard, just like his father. As he rose through training and through the ranks of the guard, he heard many a comment congratulating him, saying he was just as skilled, if not more, than his father, and how he was the spitting image of him as well. The recent Frost claimed his love, and he still hasn't recovered. He has taken up a part time position as a blacksmith while he recuperates. Lagorúthon still occasionally looks back on his dark days, and regrets them deeply. He considers himself very lucky to turn around before he went too far town this path of despair. If it weren't for Alguina, Lagorúthon very may well have become one of the most ruthless and hated men in all the world. For this, he remembers her. For this, he thanks her. For this, he misses her. What are they like? (personality): - A swift temper but a deep heart, he cares about his race and will defend his ideals. If you get to know him, he is a very sincere, very caring friend. If you get on the wrong side of him, you can be sure that you will live in fear for the rest of your days. What are their ambitions?: - To protect his homeland and to remember his forgotten love Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses? (Try to list a few of both): - Extreme fighter -strength, with short fuse - weakness , very caring and moral - strength. Towers over many but the largest elves. His red eyes are piercing, yet warm. Always carries his signature steel dagger on his back.
