(Korvic) What do you think the server will be like? - I believe that the server will be populated with many people enjoying role-play (including me) and all the fun that brings to the table. Have you read and agreed to the rules?: - Yes, I have read, understood and agree with the server rules. What’s the rule you agree with the most?: - I agree with all rules fully. However the rule I like the most would be the rule against moderator shopping. I have been both an admin and a mod on other non-RP servers and I have witnessed this childish behaviour many times. Do you understand combat rules, and what you can and can’t do if you do choose to roleplay as a villain?:- Yes I understand the combat rules and the restrictions on evil or villan characters. Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?(If so maybe we can help clear it up! What is roleplaying?: - Role playing is the act of creating or assuming an alternate personality of a character that is based is a fictional setting. There is often a set set of rules that determine the outcome of an action that an RP character is attempting to complete. There may even be events that occur in an RP setting that are not intended by any player character, such as accidents or skill based faliures such as buring a roast if someone is RPing a character that partakes in the culinary arts. What’s metagaming?: - Metagaming is making use of knowlege that should not be available to your RP character. For example if your character is assasinated and you know who did it and you make use of that knowlege to seek revenge. Becasue your character forgets the last 30 mins before your death your RP character could not know who the assasin is. What’s powergaming?: - Power gaming is performing actions in RP or in the mechanical game that a player or character would not be able to react to. For example: "Person A stabs person B in the chest." is powergaming. A more appropriate way to attempt such a thing would be to litterraly say " Person A attempts to stab person B in the chest". His father was the hunter-gatherer for the village and was away most of the time tracking animals and setting traps to bring meat back to the village. While his father was away, James was free to wander the village, he spent most of his time at the blacksmith's shop. He found smithing, the ability to create useful tools or weapons out of piles of ore facinating. If James was not learning to forge tools he was with his father learning to hunt and set traps. James easily found a job smithing with the constant conflict in Athos demanding weapons to continue its battles. Having to take refuge in the Fringe to escape the war torn lands near his home. Following his friends, James traveled from Anthos to the Fringe to Thales then finally to Athera. What are they like? (personality): - Quiet but hard working. He Is good at heart and will almost always be helpful to any of his friends. However he will occasionally have bouts of self centered-ness in the sense that he expects people to help him in the same way that he would help his friends. He is quick to quietly dislike people who do not extend that help when he needs it. What are their ambitions?: - He does not have any grand ambitions however he hopes to become a good black smith with both the ablility and willingness to supply his friends and anyone who needs it, with both good company and good steel. Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses? (Try to list a few of both): - James has been smithing since he was 17; He was always interested in smithing since he was old enough to walk around his village. He would go and visit the black smith shop in his spare time whilst his father was out hunting. (Which was most of the day.) Occasionally his father would take him out hunting and teach him to hunt and to survive out in the wilderness. However he does suffer from some weaknesses such as some difficulty with making effective use of a sword or blocking with a shield in combat. He knows how to make them but cannot make effective use of them. He can make effective use of a bow however, by making use of the time he spent hunting. He wears a slightly elaborate set of clothing with green and black mixed together. A friend of mine has been suggesting over the past few years that I try LOTC.
