What is roleplaying?: To be honest, I'm not really sure. I wanna say it is getting outside of who you really are and creating a character you enjoy playing, and then sticking to that character's preset/dynamicly changing attitude (depending on who you are) and then enjoying it while others do the same.
What is meta-gaming: Meta-gaming is somewhat like me telling someone something is going to happen IC and tell them to prepare for it, but it has yet to happen IC. Say, I told my friend I was going to ambush my other friend on a road. My friend tells my other friend, and then he counter-attacks my ambush with his own.
What is power-gaming?: Power-gaming is basically an IC action that people can't react to, causing them to just take the action because they couldn't defend against it. Such as, "Knocks 'name' out in one punch" or "*trips 'name' and stabs him in the neck*"

Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.):
Leordan, a rather old High Elf, is a very mature and wise elf. He handles himself with composure and manners. Born in Celi'ante in Thales he descends from a wealthy family of some of the oldest Elves. He has learned a large amount of wisdom from his ancestors, and strives to accumulate even more knowledge before he dies from whatever the gods have in store for him. He wishes to learn Arcane Magic, then perfect it while doubling that with the art of alchemy. Although he is very composed in public, he secretly yearns to have fun and adventure. He wishes to go to The Shards and peer over the edge of the Abyss, although he would never admit this to anyone, for fear of ruining his mature and wise reputation.
As a child, around 23 years old, his parent died of a horrible illness that was never identified. It was an extremely rare case, and no one has gotten it since. He has since been trying to research this mysterious illness for over half of his life, finding little to nothing on it and almost no cases. One lead, however, he found in Fiandria a lead on this illness. It was a hidden room with an engraving in the wall depicting a mysterious picture and the symptoms in Elven. The name of the illness was not mentioned, and it may well be some different ailment entirely, but the description matched his parents sickness almost exactly. He has yet to find any more leads since then. He is also very afraid of any sickness/ailment he contracts. Right after the death of his parents, he became ill and the symptoms mirrored the ones of the disease that killed his parents. He feared for his life during that week, and after he was cured by a druid, he was left with a permanent scar, not visible, but causing him to twitch frequently, and occasionally spasm.
Personality Traits: Mature, composed in public, keeps to self most of time, somewhat cold at times, ambitious but doesn't show it,
Ambitions: Aspire to grand alchemist, learn and perfect Arcane Magic
Strengths/Talents: Great under pressure, cool and calculating in battle, ability to set mind to task at hand and keep to the task without wavering from his objective.
Weaknesses/Inabilities: very objective, doesn't tend to sympathize. tends to jump at the chance of adventure without any thought at all, forgetful, twitches frequently and spasms, FEAR: Iron Golems, Enderman
