What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is taking up the role of another person, and acting and doing as that person would. It is stepping into the shoes of another person.
What is metagaming?: Meta gaming is using out of character information in character so an example of this would be, if I found myself in a bad situation and then decided to skype a few friends saying I was in trouble and telling them where I am. This would be meta gaming
What is powergaming?: Power gaming is doing an action that nobody can really react to or doing something that your character could not do. So an example would be me emoting cutting somebody head off, doing this would not really give them a chance to react.
In-Character Information

Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Marius was born in the frozen land of Thales, here the land seemed fine at first but soon it froze over. Many people were not able to survive in the harsh cold climate but those who did were made stronger, people like Marius were made stronger. Marius and his father had a farm in the frozen lands, the work had hardened Marius, and his father would always keep him working. Although the farms always seemed to get worse as the cold claimed the crops. Soon enough all the farms were dead and Marius and his father had no source of income. Marius' father had resorted to banditry to try and provide for himself and his son but his father was not trained in any type of weapon, and was soon taken into a prison, most likely executed. This left Marius alone with only himself and the cloth on his back. Marius had survived 3 months without his father and soon found himself walking on an empty road and began to wonder where everyone had gone. As Marius reached one of the shore towns he saw many boats of all shapes with many different banners. He sat there dumb founded for a moment but a horn signalling all the boats to set sail had snapped him out of the trance. and without thinking he ran as fast as he could to the boats and was soon swimming to catch them before they took off.
Panting and wet Marius was pulled onto the boat by a few human men grinning at the foolish boy. Marius laid down for a moment and it had registered to him he had no idea where he was going but he did not care to ask, he wanted to be away from that frozen hell. Many weeks later Marius and everyone else who survived the journey landed on a new land that people had begun to call Athera. Here Marius decided he would fine work as a farmer in the great human city of Petrus. Although Marius wished his father could have seen this new land, it was far better then the frozen land he had been born into.
Personality Traits: Marius is typically a quite person but he is also very curious and likes to explore. Marius is also a nice man who can keep his cool and is in general rather nice to be around.
Ambitions: Marius wishes to buy himself a home someday and live a peaceful life as a farmer, and never find himself in the situation he had been in when he lived in Thales.
Strengths/Talents: Marius is a skilled farmer, and he is also very fast and very fit.
Weaknesses/Inabilities: Marius is quite and sometimes does not express what he is feeling. He is also very gullible and this could put him in very bad situations
Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): Marius has very light brown hair and light blue eyes. He also wears typical farming clothing ans has slightly tanned skin. Marius weighs about 160 and he is 5'11.
