You will not be denied for having a question on the rules): If anything the stealing/lock picking restrictions seemed a bit strange, but at the same time understandable. How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: A friend told me about it a long time ago. What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is simply put improvised theater. You play as a character, with a backstory, in a set world full of lore and other characters. You develop your own character, his/her story, and create stories for/with others as you interact with other characters. What is metagaming?: The act of using information that you as a player know OOC, that the character you play as does not know IC. It could be a location a friend told you about over Skype. If you then go straight to that location without your character having any in game knowledge about it, or really any reason to go there, would be metagaming. What is powergaming?: Powergaming is often seen in text based combat and/or other conflict situation. The wiki uses a good example here. You should allways give the other people around you a chance to react to whatever you're trying to accomplish, instead of claiming to do something successfully instantly. Say, stab someone to death. In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): I was born just one year before the Dukes's war unfolded. My mom used to tell me stories about that time, since I was too young to remember it. What I do remember, is the year of darkness. I was afraid back then, and it still haunts me. And then, the plague. My parents went to study the infected, in hopes to find a cure. I was nine then, and they never returned. Ever since then I have survived on my own, and throughout the years I've decided I want to learn whatever I can about the plague, and all I can learn to prevent it from happening again. Personality Traits: Strong will. Puts others health and safety over his own. Kind hearted. Ambitions: His greatest goal is to discover a spell and/or medicine to cure any disease. You will not be denied for having a question on the rules): While I understand the idea of it, it's hard for me to fully grasp the combat rules and when/how to swap between mechanics based combat and text based combat. I guess I'm mostly scared of powergaming when it comes to combat. How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: through friends. What is metagaming?: Mixing character knowledge with player knowledge. Just because you as a player read something on the wiki doesn't mean your IG character should know about it. What is powergaming?: Not giving other players a chance to beat you. Putting yourself at an unrealisticly good advantage so that you yourself will allways win. It's made even worse when you don't remember a thing. Why am I here? How did this happen? Oh and, who am I? Making his way to the closest town he started to poke around for answers, with little luck. The only thing he got from it was comments on his red hair, giving him the name Red, and that he looked like a highlander in his mid twenties. It's now been a week, and Red is now on a quest to find out who he his, and what he will become. Personality Traits: Good heart. Will allways try to find a way to avoid a fight, but at the same time he will pick up a sword to protect others and himself, though mostly as a last resort. Ambitions: To find out more about his past.
