Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature: Augurs are followers of a patron named Yeu Rhthulul. After adopting the Thirty Scriptures, having Yeu Rhthulu as a patron, they go in meditation for a pretty long time to turn into their new form, an Augur. After turning into an Augur, their form is spectral. Taking on metal plates that protect their body. However, during the meditation, the follower is vulnerable. Once an augur, they can no longer have hatred emotions towards others, often not even fighting at all, even under emergencies. A blow to their armor protecting their head is extremely painful, often leading into death. (Not all the time.) They are vulnerable by Fi' magic. Gold is a dangerous weapon, due to their spectral bodies. Fire causes pain, and torture. Augurs are only eligable to learn void magic in their descendant form. Whichever form, they cannot reproduce. An Augur will have an extended lifespan. Augurs risk disconnection if failure to follow the Thirty Scripturs.

Verridian Moss

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

Bryophites are humanoid plants created by Cerridwen. 

Bryophites are created when infected by Verridian moss, which, in detail is caused by walking near it and falling asleep from it's powder.

The moss replaces the body with plant-like organs, leaving the once descendant into a bryophyte, however keeping the look of the descendant prior to transformation 

Can regrow limbs in time

Usually grows plants on them like flowers and such

Increases lifespan by a couple hundred years

Breathes carbon dioxide, breaths out oxygen, like a plant in real life

If mating with the same race before transformation, the offspring will be the same race Ex: human bryophyte x human = human

if the mother is bryophyte, the child takes a few extra months to grow and the child born of a bryophyte wont be affected by the moss 

Herbs are grown on bryophites that can be used in alchemy and are very valuable

Can learn magic just not void or necromancy nor can they become azdrazi 

scared of fire

What's the lore reason for not being able to shapeshift into a dragon? There has to be a lore reason behind it, same goes for being unable to partially shapeshift. Why would they even have a true form? Shouldn't they lose a "true form" upon becoming a shapeshifter and be condemned to taking whatever shape they can? Why not just make it so that they have to consume an animal or person in order to maintain a certain form or they devolve into a hideous mass of flesh and tendrils through hideous and uncontrolled mutations? If you've ever heard of the dragonkin abomination from runescape you should look it up.
