Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature: 

Referred to as the physical embodiment of the Shade parasite, Daevas occur when a Shade is chosen to Ascend into Daevahood, using the Shade Gem. They are the ones who give their lives of freedom to the Shade Gem, becoming but its servants. They can hear the Shade Gem's whispers, even when they are nowhere around it. They still retain their personalities and their minds, as Aknu'gul keeps the Shade's corruption at a limit. The same Shade Gem also holds their souls, which allows them to reform at it, when they perish.

They can sense the other Shades from any distance, through disguises and illusions.

Their bodies are without shape in their original form, and can be manipulated to their will. They can also learn to form a body from their selves, that appears like any normal descendant's.

In their darkened form, average weaponry is rather ineffective, as they adorn a slime-like shape. If their heads were cut off, it'd be little different than their arm getting severed.

They do not have any lifeforce built in their forms, as the necessary amount they require is fed to them by Aknu'gul.

They can sense mana around, akin to a sixth sense.

They are vulnerable to holy magic and aurum weaponry, wounds gained by aurum weaponry cannot immediately be 'healed'. Which means severing a Daeva's arm off would cause them to not be able to reform that limb soon.

If they do not sever the Aknu'gul, they can be reduced to a Ghoul-like state.

They can change any portion of their body at any time between their dark forms and their descendant forms, given that there are not in an area of direct lighting(out under the sun, too close to torches, lamps etc.).

They can grant others the Shade parasite.

On the topic of telekinesis, many people think that the magic is focused around exerting force on an object on a single point using magic, and never delve deeper. However, telekinesis actually doesn't work that way. It alters the gravity around an object which results in the object gaining momentum towards a desired direction. From the point the gravity is altered, the object can spin, rotate and throw the application. The reason why a telekinetic cannot exert force on a living organism is that the organism, since it's living, constantly changes; giving the telekinetic no opportunity to have a steady point to focus on. 

Chi manipulation utilizes chi, which flows through chi ponds through chi streams about the realm. Chi also can be found densely near areas of high voidal/dark magic casting, as it is the remnant of casting those magicks. Kind of like picking up half-smoked cigars from the ground and lighting them up.

Summarise the Lore of this magic(s): 

Founded by the first Shade Rilath, whom was infected by the shade parasite by a gem forged by Iblees themselves, Shade is perhaps one of the most unorthodox of magicks. Its learning process is long, painful, as it is fueled by a soul-corrupting parasite, that evokes visions, false senses, frightening thoughts and paranoia within one's mind, as it granting them the ability to manipulate a substance called Amber.

The Shade themselves gradually gain more control over Amber, and the opposite with the parasite. The person starts to feel the influence of the parasite more and more with each passing day, until the point where they either become a Daeva (pls), master their Shade (OOC moderation required) or are consumed by the parasite to the point where they do not have control over their body anymore.

The uses of Amber are many. The ebon substance can be manipulated to be as dense as iron, in an amorphous state, or even in a gaseous form. Its temperature can also be altered, making it possible to render the conjuration of Amber as hot as fire, or as cold as ice.

Shade magic users are vulnerable to holy magic spells and wards, as their souls are corrupted. The Shade itself can be lifted off a person, yet after T3, it becomes considerably harder, as it burrows deeper into the host's soul, until it becomes nigh impossible.

The Amber conjuration MUST remain physically connected to the host's form. If severed, it swiftly starts to decay into dark flakes, no longer in the Shade's control.

Amber conjurations are more easily cut through by Aurum compared to iron, yet one hit does not have to always severe an Amber limb. Shade magic deals damage to ghosts/wights/spectres alike, yet only a moderate damage when compared to Aurum.

Shades can use their corruptive Amber to corrupt mana and turn it into Amber, and they can also corrupt a victim's aura, to cause them to feel a part of the Shade's "curse" (some visions, a degree of paranoia, anger etc. targets DO NOT gain the abilities of a Shade)

Shades can also use Amber to alter the properties of their magicks. For example, Amber-imbued flames become dark and solely burn sources of mana. Shade hosts gain a natural mental barrier, etc.

Write up a lesson that your character would give to a student: 

Eve stood little before her student, a High Elven man of average qualities, with large, dark purple coloured bags under his eyes that indicated his recent lack of sleep, in a poorly lit room of stone walls and flooring.

"I know it is hard." She spoke out. "But try to reach for the Amber within you, and let it grow."

The student had his head tilted forth, his hands folded atop his chest as he evoked a single grunt, shaking his head briefly to the sides.

"Do not accept the parasite as a source of magic." She echoed. "It's a soul within yours, tied to yours. Greet it in kind, and call for its name."

The two fell silent, for few seconds, Evelangéline observing the man's face, shifting her jaw to the sides, as the man's left, closed eye twitched few times, visibly so.

"Focus on your hand, your back, your shoulders, anywhere. Try to guide its powers yonder." Her voice rose yet again. "Take your time."

The student remained quiet, and so did the woman. He rose a hand, slowly parted his fingers. A dark gathering of wisps slowly coiled about his palm, as they grew denser, seeping into his skin, where an ebon, amorphous, black tendril slowly rose, idly swaying to the sides.

"Focus, now." She spoke out. "Do not let it reach to you."

The man grit her teeth, as the small tendril started twitching, growing distorted and more metallic in colour. Its movements slow down, its movements appear more rigid, as its body grows denser. He then, tilted his form forth with a sharp exhale, as the conjured Amber disperse into a gathering of ebon flakes with the man's premature dismissal.

"More training, you need." Eve echoed. "A lot more."
