In-Character Information
Character’s name: Sylrel Roselock
Character’s gender: Female
Character’s race: Wood Elf.
Character’s age: 83
Biography: Sylrel was born a child of Wood Elves of Luminaire, in the realm now past. Her heritage contains a small amount of High Elf, as indicated by her hair and skin. She had always been an outgoing one, talking with nearly everyone in the city, and the occasional traveler. When she had joined school she was one of the smartest students. When she finished school, she had the opportunity to do anything at all in the village, and had decided to take up alchemy, while reading in her spare time. Then came the scourge. Since her city, Luminaire, was attacked first, it was one of the most devastated cities. She and her family did survive the attack, and successfully fled to where they thought was the safest, the kingdom of Urguan, home of the dwarves. They were able to survive there, in the capital, as it was never struck by the scourge. Once Sylrel and her family we’re settled and thought to be safe, though, was when the great floods began. They followed the dwarves in escape to the door of eternity.
In the verge, the family was able to get back to their fellow elves before the war between the silver crimson and the Krughanistan Bloc. The plague, Khorvad’s Grip, had never gotten to Sylrel, due to the city of Haelun’or being tightly guarded. Then came the drought, followed by the escape to Thales.
Thales. Being one of the shortest lived realm, Sylrel’s family never even lived in a city, just a small hunting camp, before the winter, and following the passerby’s to the city of Tuv Aviv, to escape by boat. Another disaster, the destruction of countless ships by various creatures. But since the family got there late, they hadn’t gotten hurt, or even knew of, the attacks. They got on the final boat to a new realm, being on tranquil waters, they to Athera without harm.
Sylrel had never trusted Athera by this point, due to the many disasters of the previous, so for the first 20 years of the realm, she and her family hadn’t lived in the walls of a city. Once they decided the realm was safe, they had found the land had gone through war, and the undead had been destroying cities, so they receded back to their home in a small forest. After another long 20 years, they return to civilization, finding peace throughout the cities, but weren’t vassalised, due to returning after the vassalisation. They lived in peace for as long as the realm lasted, before it was torn apart by a giant worm.
Once she reached the age of 81, she decided she was going to see the new realm around her, and left the city to explore. During her explorations, she had learned of the wars between the wood elves and high elves, as well as the human and dwarven roles in these fights, and had developed a subconscious dislike towards humans and high elves. She also read about her own race, including the natural feeling to become a dryad. She hasn’t felt the dryad calling yet, but now knows it’s going to happen, and is not sure about her choice, and decided to, for the first time, leave the decision to the future.
Sylrel currently has no residence in any city, because of all the realm movements, she remains more nomadic.
Personality Traits: Intelligent, agile, social, yet physically weak.
Ambitions: To gain knowledge about the world around her.
