    Character's Name: Archimedes

    Character's Age:

Character's Original Race (N/A if not applicable):

             N/A

    Transformed form:

             Animati

    Creator's MC Name:

             LoreDoomer

    Creator's RP Name:

             Alwin Sintel

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

Animati are the combined engineered creation of tinkers and alchemists, its body made from any material that is not currently alive and with anatomy albeit not too dissimilar to that of a human.

An Animati’s internal structure consists of several main components:

    • TUBES –  Tubes of varying size depending on the scale of the entire body, transports an alchemical fluid around the Animati’s body which acts in similar way blood does a human.
    • HEART –  What is known as either the “gear heart” or “clock heart” is a device shaped like a heart that contains cogs infused with redstone, springs and either a gem or stone. This heart is constantly ‘working’ and provides energy to the alchemical fluid, giving life to the Animati as a whole.
    • MIND – The mind of an Animati can either be placed into the head or as an attachment on the heart. This device is filled with alchemical fluids and provides intelligence and thought to the Animati, the more folds in the device the more fluid it can hold and thus the more intelligent the resulting Animati will be.
    • EYES & VOICEBOX – While only optional in order for the Animati to function, the eyes and voicebox are still important. The eyes are made of glass alchemically treated with reagents for awareness and the voicebox similar to a notebox but with various cords, pins and gears implanted on it.

In order to protect the frame and inner workings of an Animati, it is generally useful to create a plating of any inorganic or dead material. The amount of material used and how much area it covers is entirely up to the creator but will restrict the Animati’s movement to varying degrees.

Additionally, an Animati does have and would continue to have free will, the creator might choose to ensure that the Animati is truly loyal to them. There are a few ways to go about this, those being to either create the Animati with little intelligence and teaching it to be loyal or teaching them right at birth. The third option is to add exactly 20mL of the creators blood to the Animati’s  tube system which will make them 100% loyal to them without fail.

    Weaknesses

    • If a tube is damaged, this alchemical fluid will leak out until repaired, with the loss of enough fluid the Animati will effectively ‘bleed out’ and cease function, shutting down.
    • Joints or any bendable part of the Animati’s frame can be bent and snapped, or sliced off with a sword without of a limb and often leading to the damage of tubing.
    • An Animati’s heart can be overworked if the creation tries to force and push it’s physical limits. Doing so for a short period of time will make the Animati function in a weaker state for two hours, whereas prolonged overwork fo the heart can be fatal.
    • Blunt force damage can cause dents in the plating of the Animati, and will remain that way unless repaired otherwise.

    Creator's RP Name:

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

Wonks are humanoid frog-like creatures that are split into two different subtypes, Frog Wonks and Toad Wonks. These creatures possess lesser souls, meaning they’re incapable of practising the majority of magics that descendant races do. They are also semi-cold blooded, meaning they need to put in much more effort to stay warm in colder environements than others might. Their blood changes in colour and has different effects based on their body temeperature also.

Frog Wonks tend to be lankier than their Toad counterparts and have much smoother and slimier skin that ranges from greens and yellows to occasionally a slight brown and often, lighter patches of colour upon their torsos/stomachs. Frog Wonks can also have neon splashes of colour on their hands and feet. The height of a Frog Wonk ranges from 4’6” to 5’0”.

Toad Wonks are far stockier and shorter, with far bumpier and drier skin that range in colours of greens to browns or dull reds and oranges. The height of a Toad Wonk ranges from 4’1” to 4’7”.

Once during a Wonk’s adulthood, when the Wonk is in a period of safety and a lack of stress, five to ten eggs will become to form in bumps and ridges in the Wonks back and each grow to the size of a tennis ball over the course of 4-6 days. At this point, the Wonk will find freshwater to leave their eggs by flexing their back muscles and expelling them into the water. After one day of being laid, these eggs will ‘hatch’ into tadpoles that are about one foot in length. This tadpole will then spend the next 5 IRP years growing into a fully grown adult Wonk.

As Wonks age, their skin’s ability to hold moisture will degrade and so their skin will become much drier and wrinklier, with the Wonks additionally needing to spend much more time bathing in water to moisturise their skin. Eventually, it will come to a point at 120 IRP years that their skin has become so dry they cannot stay outside of water except for very short periods, this effectively is the death of the Wonk as they’re no longer able to do anything beyond their bathing pools.

Wonks have similar strength to that of a human, but struggle to put on additional weight or muscle. Their entire body is slightly sticky, Frogs more so than Toads, which allows them to pick up objects about the weight of a pebble up with their stickiness alone. Wonks also have a tongue about 4x the length of a humans, which is capable of grabbing things with an equivalent strength of a finger. They are capable of seeing and breathing underwater as their skin passively absorbs oxygen, they can see underwater as they possess a second transparent layer of eyelids.

Wonks are also seperated into two distinct culture types, Tribal Wonks and Reformed Wonks. Tribal Wonks are not playable by CA and exist in small tribal villages that refuse to make contact with the descendant races and cling to their old ways. Reformed Wonks are those intrigued by descendant culture and lifestyle, opting to live within their societies or live in their own villages inspired by descendant cultures.

Only Admin who wasn't there was Llir. Both Telanir, Grool and Flam had answered a few questions regarding thier specific fields.

It was nice having them and the current Mod Manager Power House Team of Tiger all present. The time was horrid for alot of people. I do hope the next one is a little more friendly for more timezones.

I know by the time I had started answering questions I was 72% Asleep.

Yeah, you’re right actually my bad. I seem to remember there being two admins missing but I realise it was just Kowa and Tythus and Tythus isn’t really involved in LoTC at all anymore.

  4. Please get a better time for Community meetings, I know 4am GMT was the only time that all the admins were “”””avaliable”””” (even though plenty of Admins who decided not to attend were online) but that time for a meeting was pretty bad no matter where you are.

Establish a permanent time for the meetings to be had on a bi-monthly basis.

I’m confused. If this is just a culture, why are you adding a full curse that is only relevant to the members of this culture? That sounds like a full race to me, in the way you’ve described it – And how are you releasing a full curse that affects a character with this piece being only a ‘culture’ and not an addition to the races or curses of lotc through LT approval?

I’m genuinely confused, not trying to yell at you.

Because the lore for Rh’thorians already exists and has since last map, Dardonas is just giving a culture behind it and allowing them to be played. They are essentially no different than humans aside from the fact that they appear to age faster, it’s simply something visual, that has been done before, and doesn’t need a full CA just for that one visual aspect.

With the stuff about the curse, it’s probably fine because I seriously doubt we’ll ever go to Rh’thor and so having that tidbit about them doesn’t make any difference to these charaters other than their backstory.

1.15 is literally tomorrow. Most of these issues to any who’ve looked into it – are generated by Mojang’s poor work with 1.14 and 1.15 is primarily a bug fixing update which aims to remedy all the problems 1.14 brought on.

Let the Lord of the Craft Team update to 1.15 which is supposedly going to fix all these issues with the Minecraft client. (Mojang’s claim, not mine.)

I can imagine Llir and the Dev Team have poured a lot of time and effort into the feat that was moving from 1.13 to 1.14, if I were them I’d hate to see that go to waste. I’d rather give them the opportunity to see if 1.15 fixes the issues plaguing Minecraft and thus Lord of the Craft, if not – let’s go back.

I support this strongly, however, the development team no matter how incredible they are, need plenty of time to update all the plugins over to a version that works with a new Minecraft version.

On-top of this there we’re at a time where the development team is lacking in members and I recall one of the developers saying that 80-90% of the groundwork for 1.14 was already done by the old development team (Tofuus, Sproadic... etc) before they left. That’s quite a while to get maybe 20% of the work done.

If the development had already started work on 1.15 the day 1.14 was put on the server, it would be months and months until we see an 1.15 update hit the sever. I don’t think we’d even have any more players...

For now at least, the server should really be reverted back to 1.13 whilst the devs now use up the time they have working on updating to 1.15 instead of fixing 1.14.

I also think the Admins/Development team should really consider opening a public test server for major updates every so often, i.e before 1.15 is put onto the server it’s put onto ptr.lotc.co and players can log onto it as they like and just do whatever, the devs can use it as a way to stress test the updated server under a large load.

I really think this would end the issues we have now and always have of buggy, unstable and sometimes unplayable launches of new updates on the server.

As such, working in joint with the LT here soon.. We’re gunna be releasing a entire BESTIARY, which lists every creature that players are allowed to play in making their own events! Im very excited to see this event asset come forward.. But i’ll go ahead and leak a sneak peak -

You put Golems in that list, don’t you need a CA to RP one?

    Creator's RP Name:

             Kurg

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

Ologs are one of the three subraces of the descedent race of Orcs. They’re incredibly large, bulky, and strong, often being between 8ft – 10ft and weighing anywhere between 600lbs – 1000lbs.

While an Olog is immensely strong and powerful, they’re often slow physically and mentally. Their intelligence is limited to that of a toddler and an Olog needs time to process anything that isn’t immediately simple and their vocabulary is limited and sentences are short, consisting of only a few words at the longest. Additionally, an Olog cannot experience complex emotions and often only feel happiness or rage, this doesn’t mean they’re exempt from the Orcish curse or blessing however and it instead manifests simply in loyalty to their Orcish brethern and a blind bloodlust to anything that moves and isn’t an Orc. Ologs are also incapable of using anything particulary advanced, even something that seems as simple as a bow, their capabilities with most things comes down to simply hitting and bashing. This also means they’re incapable of grasping magic of any kind as their brains are just too simple.

In order to maintain their massive frames, Ologs will eat anything they can whenever they can and are generally hungry at all times. Their incessant eating causes them to be incredibly obese and carry a thick layer of fat that provides them a natural armour equivalent to that of leather.

Ologs are also incredibly lazy and need a lot of direction from other Orcs in order to be productive in any way and even then they’d likely need an incentive and frequent instruction to keep doing a task.

  9. My main issue with this change is that, to the community, it seems completely random and unjustified; a knee-jerk reaction to literally nothing.

I’ve been playing LoTC fairly actively for around four years now and can’t recall any issues related to or about the mention or discussion of politics aside from Narthok’s ban (which wasn’t even directly related to politics anyhow) and that was confirmed to not even be the reason this rule was implemented

So clearly something happened which caused this rule to be implemented that the Admins don’t want the larger community to know about, in which case why is such a rule being applied to the entire community anyhow? This new rule literally only serves to annoy the community and give them more to tip-toe around than we already have to for what appears to be no reason at all.

Either give us a proper explanation as to why this rule has been implemented or remove it all together, this is silly.

I just wanted to add as well, if this is about making everyone feel included, banning political discussion is the wrong way to do it. Politics are such a core part of personality and people’s identity in general, not to mention politics being  literally the majority of where LoTCs roleplay comes from.

If you want to fix issues, start by addressing some major issues that harm the community and members such as a minor like me who has to face the fact that there are literal paedophiles on the server with nothing being done about them.
