What is metagaming?: Its when your character is saying and doing things based on information that the character had no way of knowing (ex.: A person goes to save his friend from an enemy player after he was PMed by him on Skype, even though his character couldn't have known that that had happened).. What is powergaming?: Its saying that your character's action is successful without giving their opponent the chance to freely act on their own (ex: Stating that you have killed everyone in a castle during a siege and have now full control of them without even giving the 20 people time to say anything). In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play. Character’s name: Elestan Arche'nealur Character’s sex: Male Character’s race: High Elf Character’s age: 723 Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): He has lived in Aegis and has travelled with the other elves to the Verge, Asulon, Elysium, Kalos, Anthos, the Fringe, Thales, Athera and finally to Vailor throughout the ages. He has mostly tried to keep quiet and read and write, and had brought a great amount of books from Aegis, although most of them had got destroyed or were lost throughout the ages. Elestan has been in many tight places due to the cultists, political disputes between the elves and other evils even though he has tried to keep out of the happenings and simply gain wisdom and read, but has at least had the luck to have escaped nearly unscathed. He has worked as a teacher and scientist nearly all his life and now has great wisdom that he had accumulated throughout the years. In Aegis Elestan grew up as the son of a librarian and studied the ancient texts in Aegis, which in turn made him introvertive, giving more time to books and scrolls than to friends and family, but he still had a small group of close friends, but that was soon to change, as they we're all killed in Aegis, the Verge and Asulon by the Undead, which heightened his introvertiveness very much. He had simply studied books on the Verge and on Asulon and not much had happened in his life then. On Elysium, Kalos and Anthos he had worked as a librarian and researcher and had often gone to different places around there to write about in his research notes. In one particular trip he had got lost in a forest and soon realised that he was being chased by something vile in that forest. He soon discovered what it was when it jumped on his chest, pinning him to the ground. It resembled a sentient boar and called himself Bohra. He sniffed around his victim and soon found a piece of soiled meat in Elestan's backpack. He ate it and wanted more from Elestan who said "I will give you more if you let me up and let me go after I give it to you." So he showed the Bohra his secret stache in a hollowed-out tree of soiled meat, so that he could survive in the wild for as long as possible. While the Bohra was ravaging the meat, Elestan quickly hurried away and never went researching fauna and flora into the wild again (for obvious reasons). He soon became obsessed with alchemy and studied it heartily throughout the late time on Elysium and throughout the Fringe, Thales and Athera. In the Fringe he had started thinking the complete hostility to impures might not be quite right, but soon abandoned the idea, fearing the wrath of the government for even thinking such an idea. Near the end of Thales he wanted a break from the library and so went on a trip. Well, let's just say it wasn't the best idea. He had gone deep into the forests on most of Thales and got attacked by a bear, lost nearly everything he had brought with him in a storm and had got lost before suddenly finding the desert in the heart of Thales and was able to finally return home, now being terrified of going into forests. At the end of Athera there was nearly nothing left to learn, so he started strategy and is studying it to this day. Personality Traits: Thoughtful, occassionally slightly stubborn, has a quite bad short-term memory, but a great long-term one (he forgets about something, but remembers when something reminds him of it), pays respect to everyone who he thinks deserves it, which makes him less racistic than most other High Elves, as he judges people by action, not that much by race. Ambitions: Read, read, and read some more, teach others at the Haelun'or College Strengths/Talents: Good long-term memory, is a very quick learner, even for a High Elf, is has deceent swordsmanship and bowmanship, excels at pretty much everything, though not to a point of mastery, is an introvert (I listed this both as a strength and a weakness as it is a both good and bad thing to be). Weaknesses/Inabilities: Can sometimes be a bit stubborn, isnt very strong, is an introvert, is absolutely terrified of going deep into a forest and it is mentally impossible for him to go deeper than a few tens of blocks into a forest.
