Use on pure beings in the patrons eyes (Itharal know who's who) = disconnection, self defence is different, +most Clerics are unable to use the flames considering that most are not taught properlly nor have had enough time to learn such a powerful spell (literally it's endgame and takes IG years to learn. (basic orb of light takes like a year or two if taught correctly otherwise you're powergaming a very powerful magic. (but people skiping such things are why necro's and shades don't accept it as as powerful as it is.

i ask because the wiki says if used on a descendant  the power will be ripped from you

The concept I have in mind is Moreso a power to smite evildoers but leave the innocent alone. I was reading war cleric because it made the most sense for that concept. However there was some confusion as far as the verbiage. I've no idea where to start in game for finding a teacher for cleric let alone one that can cast something as dangerous as that.
