What is roleplaying?: roleplaying is creating a character (or sometimes using one that’s already cannon in some instances) and a persona for them, including where they’re from and their job and whatnot, and pretending to be that person. What is metagaming?: metagaming (as far as roleplaying goes) is a playing using things you know but your character wouldn’t know, or doing things out of character to your advantage. It’s usually frowned upon because you’re breaking character and it’s not true roleplaying. What is powergaming?: playing a game and having the sole purpose of your play be maximising your characters abilities, status, and ranking. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Born and raised in Haelun'or, Araiel Lithuniel is a wood elf who was born to the parents Arachis Lithuniel and Fantila Lithuniel. Born in 1499, she is aged 27. She lives in the state of Laueh’lin, in the capital city, Laurelin. A well-known family, Araiel didn’t want for much growing up. Her father Arachis is a wealthy merchant, and travels often. Her mother Fantila is regarded as a very wise and well- learned woman, and has a big place in the community. Her family and her were greatly affected by the conflict between the wood elves and the high elves, and she lost many members of her family. Because of this she harbors a rigid grudge against the high elves, and is extremely loyal to her people and their culture. Growing up, Araiel was forced to struggle the high elven oppression, and then later in her life she had to struggle with losing several more members of her family to the plague.This motivated her to be different, to stand up for what she believed in. From a young age she has trained to fight, despite her parents’ wishes for her to study a more “refined” area of expertise. Many times she has left her home in search of a greater purpose, looking for an adventure. She longs to explore all of Vailor, although she was often (and still sometimes is) restrained by her parents.
